166 Hunting - Fraus - Deep - Chapter 166
Arden took a deep breath after hearing the words of Belgrum, it does make sense to him. In the end, there are somethings that Fraus made right. In the end, he is only just doing what he wants without caring for evil or good. Thinking from his perspective, there is must be nothing wrong with what he does. At least this is what he is thinking.
Arden could not help but envy Fraus a little bit. Caring nothing, doing everything and not thinking about anybody else when doing those things. It is a simple but important thing in the mind of Arden. Maybe that is why he is having problem understanding his motives.
-
Nox and a blonde man wearing long white clothes standing side to side, the blonde man takes support from the wall behind of himself. Looking carefree and relaxed. Nox looks at the blonde man and speaks.
"Destan, this Fraus is not a person that you should see weak as chicken just because he is torch-level being."
The blonde man named Destan had a big green eyes and feminine face, a mouth that too big and a nose too small for a man. He always had a little smirk on his face showing no other emotion. It is said that even when he is in a battle or angry, the smirk on his face never cease to diminish.
Destan listened Nox for a second then answered.
"I believe you are not wrong. It is just that I dont think the stories we here about him are true."
Nox just shook her head and then smiles showing that she is not capable of changing the views of a man. In the end, it is hard-wired to almost all starsigns levels beyond the level of torch-level who are at the level of Deep Fire, that torch-level beings are not something they should take serious. Considering the power difference and not only power also mind and soul difference between a Torch-Level Being
Nox knew that without a Deep Fire Level being itself experiencing it from first hand. There is nothing she can do to change this reality. A deep fire level will not take a torch-level being seriously.
Destan looked at the right side and then speaks.
"Nox, they are here."
Nox come to herself and looked at the arrival of two new people, they are not from Dream Lord Sword Organization but from Blue Bird Empire, she knows them and their name.
A woman and a man, Astel is the name of the woman and Verman is the name of the man, both capable fighters in their own regard. It is safe to say that their power rivals on her own. Maybe little bit lower than Destan.
Astel
Silver, frizzy hair tight in a bun reveals a round, tense face. Dead brown eyes, set elegantly within their sockets, watch energetically over the armies they've stood guard for for so long.
Fire has left a mark stretching from the left side of the forehead , running towards her upper lip and ending above her right eye and leaves an aching burden of innocence long lost.
. She stands ordinary among others, despite her brawny frame.
There's something ambiguous about her, perhaps it's her unusual looks or perhaps it's simply her humility. But nonetheless, people tend to try to get her to marry their off-spring, while secretly training to become more like her.
Destan may be not the smartest one when it comes to opening his mind to new things. But when it comes to power and battle techniques, he is the most powerful one between four people grouped up in a silent dark alley.
Verman was a handsome man.
Red, greasy hair gently hangs over a thin, time-worn face. Bulging amber eyes, set rooted within their sockets, watch thoughtfully over the tribe they've bled for for so long.
A scar reaching from just under the right eyebrow , running towards his left nostril and ending on his right cheek leaves a painful burden of defended homes.
This is the face of Brooks Hansley, a true dreamer among humans. He stands tiny among others, despite his scraggy frame.
There's something alluring about him, perhaps it's his warmth or perhaps it's simply a feeling of coldness. But nonetheless, people tend to ask him about his adventures, while thinking of ways to become his friend.
Astel and Verman come to side of Nox and nodded. They also exchanged looks and give their regards to Destan too.
Nox started talking after arrival of two people.
"We all know why we are here and what is our mission."
"In a simple fact, we will investigate Fraus and Unity, decide that if they are needed to be destroyed directly or a later time. This operation and mission involves both Blue Bird Empire and Dream Lord Organization."
"Any question ?"
Nox asked. At that time, Astel, black-haired woman with clear white-eyes asked a question.
"So, it is clear that in the end, Fraus and Unity will be destroyed. We are just deciding the timing of it."
Nox takes a deep breath thinking that her underlings, Arden, Alicia and Belgrum had good relationship with Fraus and the fact that Unity, the group Fraus controls saved them when they were ambushed by Genesis and answered.
"Yes, that matter is decided."
Verman, the man from Blue Bird Empire who has crimson-colored long hair wearing black simple leather clothes added.
"Then we just go and kill him. There is no need to investigate, I do not think he is any to use both organizations at this point. According to what we heard about him."
Destan nodded and started speaking.
"I think the same, I believe everybody here have more important things to work on. It is better than spending our time looking and investigating a Torch-Level Being."
Nox and Astel shook their head. Compared to their male group members, they were more mission-oriented. In the end, they are given mission by their own organizations and it is their duty to complete their mission as it should be. The thought of Nox and Astel was simple as this. But Verman and Destan are more arrogant and they are more inclined to think that the mission they are given not giving them enough priority.
In the end, people are like that, when they have something, some sort of power, monetary or magically it does not matter. They start to look down on the people who do not have same value as themselves.
It is the simplest nature of humans.
"Our spies told us that, he is on Flabar Great Plains, So, we go there and inspect."
Astel and others nodded. In the end they know that the mission is given to them by upper-levels, they can not directly do what they want. At least, they need to look what they are working on. If not, things would be not good for themselves in the future. Which nobody wanted to seen as a nobody.
Not that he liked this but there were no options available to him to change his situation or what he was experiencing. It was most likely that he believed he needed to change how he thought about his predicaments even though he knew he was helpless to some extent in choosing it.
His thoughts were complicated and did not have any correlation with the meaning of life or its fulfilment. He knew there was nothing he could not do but he also believed it would be best for him to understand what he could change. If he could not take what he wanted, then he also wanted to find options that would match his desire and be accessible to him at the same time. Who would have thought that things would turn out like this?!
Arden gulped as he thought about the future and felt something amiss in his heart. It felt like a dull ache, or maybe just a feeling that ensnared him with the loss of a beloved or the pain of not having what he wanted. It was not like he did not want it or that he did not know what he was looking for; it was just that this feeling of loss was very new to him. These were not the emotions he was familiar with, and perhaps even welcomed. But he was feeling it at the moment nonetheless.
Arden then noticed something different in his surrounding. He was still in his courtyard but it appeared stranger than usual. He let out a cold breath and started watching his thoughts unfold. Why did he suddenly feel a sense of hopelessness in his heart and mind? Why was he feeling like he lost something that he always had? It was just like a man who had a crush on a girl and was seeing the girl with another man, feeling desperate and unworthy.
It was not like the man did not have a girlfriend or a lover. It was just that the girl he wanted, chose another over him. There was something problematic with this version of his feeling. It was not about love or crush; it was about self-esteem. When he thought about it a little more, he realized the problem was simpler — in one word, it was his ego.
This confused feeling in Arden made him think about his inflated ego. He could not accept the things he wanted but could not get. He believed that the girl he wanted should rightly choose him because he was the better option. In his mind, there was no logical explanation for being passed over.
