Chapter 1421: Purpose of an External Avatar

“Huh? Is this your new technique in your Rod Technique?” Kou Chongxue looked at the technique Shang Xia unleashed with a weird gaze. Even though it looked like he unleashed only 1 move, Kou Chongxue felt that 2 were used.

Shang Xia chuckled in response, “I used a combination of both my fifth and sixth moves. After all, my sixth move isn’t complete yet.”

Kou Chongxue exclaimed in admiration, “The powerful strike that traveled across the stars might be greatly weakened, but it’s still an attack that is only slightly weaker than that of Seventh Order energy. You were able to stop it yourself and that’s a miracle in itself!”

After he spoke, Kou Chongxue felt that his praise wasn’t enough and he continued, “If not for your explanation of how you combined both your moves, I would even believe that the strike earlier was your martial intent!”

“No, no... I actually combined those moves because of a stroke of inspiration. My fifth move, Breaking World, destroyed the void around the pillar of light. However, I only managed to stop it for a second. My true intention when using Breaking World was to use the spatial fractures to redirect the power of the strike before using Heaven Liberation to scatter as much of the remaining energy to the surroundings.”

“If I had to block it head on, it wouldn’t be possible...” Shang Xia sighed.

Kou Chongxue nodded slowly while deep in thought before chuckling in amusement, “Wait. Why does it feel like you’re showing off by saying all these?”

Shang Xia laughed in response. “Patriarch Kou, it’s up to you now. You should have decided if you want us to kill Dou Jie or not. If we wait any longer, the experts of the Star Origin Dao Field will probably start to arrive!”

Shang Xia’s External Avatar looked into the distance with a profound gaze and knew that they would soon take Dou Jie down. He nodded slowly. “Alright, I’ll take my leave. However, you should remember to get them to send some precious herbs over to me. I’ll need to rest for a good period of time.”
