Chapter 1247: Qingling Palace and Dachen Dynasty

Chapter 1247: Qingling Palace and Dachen Dynasty

“The Qingling Palace is really daring indeed... You even dare to interfere with the internal affairs of my Dachen Dynasty... Do you really think you can do whatever you want just because you’re located in the Great Snowy Mountains?”

Shang Xia heard Duke Zhang sneering at a pair of male and female True Immortals as soon as he arrived.

What Shang Xia found strange was the fact that even after they were swallowed by the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman, they didn’t suffer much injuries. At the very least, they were doing much better than Shang Xia expected.

That didn’t really come as a surprise as Shen Chongshan wasn’t planning to injure or even kill them. He was only focused on escaping and didn’t bother whether Duke Zhang and the other True Immortal were affected.

After everything, the True Immortals of the Dachen Dynasty actually arrived at the Star Beast Nest before Shang Xia and he had to admit that anything could happen in the region of chaotic space.

Shang Xia’s attention turned to the male and female true Immortal from the Qingling Palace. Shang Xia was familiar with them because they fought back then. They were the ones he ran into when he first arrived in the Star Beast Nest. Shang Xia managed to snatch their Tribulation Pearl to obtain a large amount of resources from them. They were Lin Jingya and Feng Yasong.

They were clearly displeased with Duke Zhang’s lecture, and their expressions showed it. Liu Jingya snorted coldly in response, “Duke Zhang, what a joke. Does my Qingling Palace have to report our actions to you? Heh... Let’s not talk about how your emperor hasn’t reached the level of Extreme Harmonization. Even if your Dachen Dynasty produced a second expert at that level, do you think my Qingling Palace will be afraid of you?”

Duke Zhang chuckled coldly, “For you guys to be plotting so actively with the Wanyun Association... Aren’t you just trying to stop our Dachen Emperor from entering the level of Extreme Harmonization? It’s a shame all of you failed to plan properly. I managed to locate Shen Chongshan! That’s not all... I even know about the existence of the Talisman Grandmaster in this Star Beast Nest!”

Before Lin Jingya could say anything, Feng Yasong, the third tier True Immortal asked, “Did you guys kill Shen Chongshan?”

Duke Zhang didn’t respond, but the third tier True Immortal beside him started to chuckle. “Why should we kill him? As long as the Wanyun Association fails to get a third Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman, their territory will fall. With the power of our Dachen Dynasty, they’ll have to submit if they know what’s good for them!”

The Dachen Dynasty’s tactic to deal with the Wanyun Association seemed to consist of threats and intimidation...

The expressions of the True Immortals of the Qingling Palace sank even further after hearing what he said.

In order to let Shen Chongshan retrieve the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman from Shang Xia and return to the Essence Xing World, and also to bait out all the spies in the Wanyun Association, they not only sent out Gong Zhou, a fourth tier True Immortal to secretly protect Shen Chongshan. The Wanyun Association also invited the True Immortals of the Qingling Palace and Seven Pillar Island in order to play it safe.

What no one expected was that the Ten Winged Gate, the other great power that bordered the Dachen Dynasty with the Wanyun Association, would submit! They even joined forces with the dynasty to stop the experts of the Qingling Palace while the dynasty intercepted both Gong Zhuo and experts of the Seven Pillar Island.

If not for the fact that Hou Tang managed to free himself and run over to save Shen Chongshan, Shen Chongshan might have already been taken alive!

Whatever it was... Shang Xia pretty much understood what was going on after hearing so much.

The next moment, the fourth tier True Immortals turned at the same time to stare at the spot where Shang Xia was.

“Who’s there?!” Duke Zhang was the first to yell.

On the other side, True Immortal Lin Jingya stared at Shang Xia with lights flickering in her eyes.

Not too long after Duke Zhang yelled, Shang Xia emerged from the region of chaotic space.

“Is something the matter? Why are all of you blocking the entrance to my Space Beast Nest?” Shang Xia glanced at those who were there like they weren’t worthy of his time. However, because he had to remain polite, he turned to Lin Jingya and Feng Yasong. “Oh? True Immortal Lin, True Immortal Feng... We meet again.”

If Duke Zhang was still suspicious at Shang Xia’s sudden arrival, he understood everything. That was the Talisman Grandmaster they had been looking for!

Be it the experts of the Dachen Dynasty, or the members of the Qingling Palace, everyone turned to face Shang Xia in unison and cupped their fists respectfully.

“Lin Jingya and Feng Yasong of the Qingling Palace greet True Immortal Shang!”

“I Duke Zhang, Zhang Mingjie, and the Constellation Finding Marquis, Rui Baofang, of the Dachen Dynasty greet Grandmaster Shang!”

As it turned out, Duke Zhang’s real name was Zhang Mingjie...

Shang Xia was slightly taken aback, but he quickly replied, “Greetings. There’s no need to be so polite.”

“Our Qingling Palace is here to commission some talismans, and we have no ill intentions.” Lin Jingya quickly revealed her intentions.

Zhang Mingjie also quickly followed up, “We have also come to request for you to craft talismans. Also, we have received orders from our emperor to invite you to our Essence Xing World. His Majesty wishes to bestow you a position and provide all the resources you need to cultivate and craft talismans.”

Hearing Zhang Mingjie’s obvious attempt at pulling Shang Xia over to the Dachen Dynasty’s side, Lin Jingya couldn’t help but snort coldly. However, she didn’t say anything to stop him. Instead, her expression simply turned even more ugly.

Shang Xia looked at the members of the Qingling Palace before staring at the experts of the Dachen Dynasty. A smile eventually appeared on his face. “I apologize. I am just a foreign cultivator after all... I am still bound by duty to my world even though I am exiled and I still have to remain in the Star Beast Nest to finish the remainder of my sentence.”

Zhang Mingjie wasn’t surprised by the rejection. He simply raised an eyebrow and asked, “Isn’t there another fellow fourth tier True Immortal in the Star Beast Nest? Why do you need to punish yourself by staying there?”

“Haha... I only invited another expert to take my place because I had to take a break after crafting talismans. How can I trouble them to stay here all the time? Since I have returned, my companion will be going back soon.” After he spoke, he turned and gestured to the Star Beast Nest. “Fellow cultivators, please. Let’s chat inside.”

The 4 other True Immortals followed Shang Xia into the Star Beast Nest as Shang Xia restrained his aura. It quickly disappeared from Zhang Mingjie and Lin Jingya’s perception.

How is it possible for him to hide himself so effectively?

Zhang Mingjie and Lin Jingya glanced at each other and they saw the restraining fear the other had for the Talisman Grandmaster of the Essence Ping World.

After they finally found a place to sit, Hai Yuanyuan, who had already made preparations, brought tea for everyone. She retreated to the side and sneakily glanced at those who arrived.

Shang Xia was too lazy to bother with her at the moment and he chuckled in amusement, “Since everyone is here to commission talismans, why don’t you start by stating what type of talismans you want?”

The high-level True Immortals on both side glanced at each other and didn’t say a word.

Eventually, Zhang Mingjie couldn’t take the silence any longer and he burst out laughing. “I heard True Immortal Shang crafted Myriad Tinted Cloud Talismans for the Wanyun Association. I wonder if that is true?”

Shang Xia snorted silently to himself.

You saw the fucking talisman for yourself... Why the hell are you asking?

However, he wouldn’t reveal the fact that he noticed their battle and he simply laughed along. “Indeed...”

Zhang Mingjie turned serious all of a sudden. “I have been ordered by His Majesty to commission you to craft Myriad Tinted Cloud Talismans as well. We will pay any price!”

The True Immortals of the Qingling Palace sucked in a cold breath in shock.

Zhang Mingjie turned to look at the both of them with a smile that didn’t seem like a smile as he continued, “Heh... If I’m not mistaken, the 2 of you probably came to request for Myriad Tinted Cloud Talismans too, right?”
