Chapter 30:

Huge thanks to Isaac and Arriel for buying my Patreon! It really means a lot to me! anyways, onto the story!

[3rd POV] [Mount Justice]

"You aren't going with them. You have a different mission" Bruce said, turning to his daughter who had entered the mission room.

Pouting, Gwen replied "But I wanted to hunt a gorilla..." Hunting down the gorrila would go towards her mission, allowing her to get closer and closer to evolving her system, something she wanted done as soon as she possibly could.

"You have a more important mission" Bruce said with a shake of his head, before turning to the rest of the team. The team had frowns on their faces, not liking that Gwen was getting missions by herself, without any of them to help her.

"You all know your mission, get to it. Gwen, come with me" Bruce said, before turning to Gwen. Gwen sighed at her dad's attitude, before nodding, but not before pecking M'gann on the lips. M'gann blushed slightly at the peck, before smiling shyly.

"Have fun, and make sure to be safe" Gwen whispered, before walking after her dad. M'gann muttered a soft "I will" as she watched Gwen walk off, a sigh escaping her lips as she watched her now girlfriend, walk away.

The two promptly disappeared from the Mountain, leaving a still confused team behind them.

Reappearing through the zeta-tube, Gwen turned to her dad. "So, what's this mission, and why is it so important?" She asked, deciding to not even wait before asking the important question.

"You'll get briefed in the mission room" Bruce said simply, as the two walked together towards the mission room, in the Watchtower.

Walking into the room, Gwen immediately noticed the slightly tense atmosphere. Within the room, was Zatara, Flash, and a couple of others.

"So, what's this missions that has everyone so nervous? It can't be that bad, right?" Gwen asked, looking to her father, before her eyes scanned over the rest of the League. The almost worried looks on their faces, wasn't exactly a comforting sight.

Sighing, Bruce pressed a button, as a hologram of an individual appeared. The second the hologram appeared, Gwen's eyes inwardly widened in surprise, as she knew exactly who it was, and who it was related to.

'Oh shit, that's...that's brother blood!' Gwen inwardly cursed, realizing who it was she was fighting now. The guy was very recognizable due to her previous life, but mostly because of the being he and his cult worshiped.

"This is Brother Blood, the leader of the Church of Blood. A cult that heavily worships a demonic entity known as-" "Trigon" Gwen cut Bruce off. She breathed in deeply as she realized exactly who it was she was going to be fighting against. The father of Raven, and one of the strongest beings in the entirety of DC Comics. Even in this much weaker universe, she highly doubted she had even an iota of a chance against him, not without the aid of the League.

'Wait...if Brother Blood exists in this universe, same with Trigon, does that mean Raven exists too?' Gwen thought, realizing that one of her childhood comic crushes could actually be alive in this universe.

While excited at that idea, she was still slightly nervous. She knew that she had absolutely zero chance against Trigon, and would get completely obliterated by the being, even with all the power she possessed. The only thing she had that could probably aid her in fighting him, would be her senses, powers from Doctor Fate, and maybe her connection to the other, if it gets really dangerous, otherwise? She'd be fucked.

"You know of it?" Zatara asked in surprise. Trigon's existence wasn't public knowledge, and those that did know of him, dared not speak about the being, in fear of incurring his wrath. "I know everything Kent Nelson knew about magic and the occult, and Trigon...that is a very dangerous and powerful name, one that Doctor Fate cannot ignore" Gwen replied, beginning to formulate plans on how to fight off the being, should it successfully breach into this world. There was few that she believed would actually work, but a couple of them would be able to stall him, even if only for a short amount of time.

"I see. Then you must also know, that Brother Blood will try his hardest to summon the being to this plane, and we simply cannot allow that to ever happen. Otherwise, the world as we know it, would almost certainly be doomed" Zatara said in response, knowing that there was little they could do against Trigon, with very few beings being on par with him.

"And what is it you want me to do?" Gwen asked, looking to Zatara. She didn't really see what Zatara saw in her, the chances of her actually beating Trigon, was really really slim.

"Stop him. My...sources are telling me that he is planning on attempting a ritual that will allow Trigon to breach the veil into our world" Zatara responded. Gwen raised an eyebrow at the word "sources" causing her to realize that the League had been keeping an eye on the cult for a lot longer than she was initially expecting.

"I'm flattered you think I have enough power to do such a thing. Even if I was to go all out, with the power of Doctor Fate, I am rather certain I'd get crushed like a bug. My martial arts, senses, and other powers, only go so far when fighting what is basically a nigh-omnipotent demonic god" Gwen said with a chuckle, knowing she had no chance against a being of Trigon's level.

"You won't need to fight Trigon, as long as you stop Brother Blood from summoning him" Bruce cut in, a serious glint in his eyes. Gwen noticed this and sighed.

"That should be doable. But the real question I have, is, am I doing this by myself?" Gwen asked, turning to her dad. She'd much rather have some actual teammates to do this mission with, preferably a decently strong one that could actually pull their own weight, and not weigh her down.

"No, you have a partner that will work with you on this" Bruce replied.

"Who?" Gwen wondered.

"Me" A soft feminine voice sounded out, causing Gwen to turn, before her eyes widened ever

so slightly.

Standing there was an incredibly attractive teen, with dark hair, powerful blue eyes, thick thighs, a tall form, and various other...appealing features. The most notable, was her skin color, that was quite...pale to say the least.

'Oh shit, it's...'

"Gwen, meet Raven, you're teammate for this mission"

That's the end of this chapter!

Next chapter will be longer by a bit, and will have more happening. This event is all Oc, so bear with me on some of this, as my knowledge on comics is not even remotely at the level

required for this to be perfect.

Yes, Raven is a waifu, it would be a crime for her not to be. Gwen will probably only have one

or two besides her and Artemis (and M'gann of course).

Like I said, there will be more and more OC missions showing up in the future, as I want Gwen to have some unique adventures of her own. This is just one of those adventures that I thought would suit her current character.

Anyways, have a good day, see you tomorrow!
