Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Salem, Brother Gods, and It’s True Name
[3rd POV]
Standing within the Beacon Academy's headmaster office, Gwen let out a yawn as James Ironwood continued to grill her for information on the grimm she had killed. She had been there for around 10 minutes listening to the man go on and on about safety and other bullcrap. Crap that the man didn't actually care about, not as much as what that grimm could have been used for at least.
"What did you do? How did you kill such a large grimm! Who do you work for?!" Ironwood yelled, as Gwen sighed dramatically, the man slammed his hands against the table enraged, as Ozpin struggled not to crack a small smile at the girls action.
"You done yet?" Gwen asked, looking up at the man with zero care for what he was saying. The man looked a bit taken aback from her response, but before he could respond, Gwen continued.
"Good. Now, I killed the grimm known as the "Wyvern". It was on its way to invade Vale for that Queen of its" "How-" "Do I know? Easy, I'm not just a normal teenager, that much you could have understood. All you need to know is that I can and will help deal with Salem, I already am, actually" Gwen cut Ironwood off, before continuing.
"I've already taken care of the Grimm around the world, and the one at the center of the world. All that is left is killing Salem herself, as well as Ozma here" Gwen said, as Ozpin blinked.
"Kill me?"
"Yep, your immortality is linked to one another. One cannot die permanently as long as the other lives. That's why she's able to come back constantly, and you are too. If I kill both of you at the same time, and use a rather...special item of mine, she won't come back, nor will you" Gwen responded, not sugar coating it. She was done "Hiding" and just wanted to get this world over with.
"Ozpin you cannot seriously be-" "I am, and while Gwen does not trust me - which I understand - I trust her. I will not ask how you can do the things you do, or how you know them, as I am sure you won't tell me, all I'll ask is, what will you do after?" Ozpin asked, as Gwen smirked slightly.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"I'll be continuing my adventure with my girlfriends, preferably somewhere more interesting. So don't worry about a superpowered teen that could obliterate cities as easy as breathing sticking around, because I won't be" Gwen replied, before getting to her feet.
"I'll leave one of my clones here. When the time is right, it will kill you in a painless way, when that happens, you can know that Salem is no more. Actually...I'll just let you watch" Gwen said, blinking as an idea came to mind.
Forming an item out of magic, she smiled as small drone floated around her, and a screen appeared in front of them. "There, this'll show you guys the battle with Salem. I'll be showing this to my girlfriends as well. Team RWBY should probably be shown too, if you guys will handle that part" Gwen said, as Ozpin raised an eyebrow.
"May I ask why?"
"Because Summer Rose is very much alive, and I'm going to save her. I thought it right for Ruby to see her Mom. Ah, I guess that old Crow and Tai can watch too" Gwen said with a hum as Ozpin's eyes shot wide.
"How-" "Salem is keeping her alive in order to find a way of meshing the Silver Eyes with her Grimm, making what is essentially the ultimate grimm lifeform. She was failing of course, but she wasn't exactly kind to Salem, and did some heinous shit to the woman, which will require some...rather extensive healing that I'll personally take care of"
"How would we get Tai-" "Just use this. It'll teleport him here, but do it once I'm gone, I can't be bothered to explain things to him" Gwen said, as she tossed him a small paper that had a rune on it, one that would teleport the man to them.
"Can you-" "Nope! I wanna get this crap done, so I'm in a bit of a rush. My girlfriends are already on their way up here with team RWBY, so...have fun! I'll be back!" Gwen said with a grin, enjoying the frustrated faces of Ironwood and Glynda, who both were trying to ask her questions, but were basically just being ignored.
Teleporting off, Gwen laughed as Ironwood let out an annoyed yell, not giving them a chance to even do anything.
Reappearing in the Land of Shadows, Gwen smiled as she began to walk through the dark land. She felt the gaze of Salem on her, and the gazes of Ozpin and them from the drone, said gazes were soon followed by her girlfriends, team RWBY, Qrow, and Tai, but only after she had walked for around 10 minutes.
Gazing at the large castle in front of her, Gwen's gaze slowly lowered to the woman standing in front of her, the Queen of Grimm in all her glory, standing before her.
"You!"
"Me!" Gwen sarcastically gasped in response, grinning as she felt her clone end the life of Arthur Watts, leaving only Salem.
"What have you done?!" Salem roared, her magic flaring around her, showing just how furious she truly was.
"Hm? Just took care of the problems that have been ailing this world of course! What else? What, did you expect me to just sit on the sideline and watch as you ruined this world?" Gwen
asked with a snort, amused with the woman's reactions.
"You ruined everything!" Salem snarled, as magic slammed against where Gwen was previously standing the instant before.
"Nah, the Gods ruined this world the second they appeared here" Gwen said, standing behind Salem with a sigh, the woman twirled around, attempting to throw another blast of magic at Gwen, only to miss once more, as Gwen effortlessly appeared in front of her, landing a singular mighty blow against the Queen of Grimm's stomach, launching her back as she spat blood from her mouth.
"Stop-" "Dodging? Nah, make me" Gwen replied with a grin.
Every attempt at harming Gwen was either dodged or swatted to the side effortlessly. The various abilities she held were more than enough to easily block or dodge the weak attacks of the Queen of Grimm.
"You know, I don't disagree with your desire to kill the Gods, considering they are stuck up pricks who have doomed this world, but my God did you go by it the wrong way" Gwen sighed, sitting on a nearby rock.
"But I'll be taking care of them for you, Salem, so...you may rest now" Gwen said, and within an instant, she was in front of the Queen of Grimm. The woman couldn't even react as a blade was thrust deep into her heart, one made by Gwen, and specialized in the killing of immortals.
Far off in Beacon, Ozpin smiled as he too began to meet his fate. Not in the same room as team RWBY and the rest of them of course, but within his private bedroom, laying peacefully on the bed, as Gwen's clone killed the man.
"H-How? H-how are you so strong?" Salem stuttered, looking up at Gwen as she felt the blade puncture her dark heart. She felt it deep within her bones, felt the mortality that the blade had given her, and her end nearing.
"I wasn't always, but...I was given a gift, and I have...made good use of it. You had a gift too, Salem, and you could have done a lot of good with it, but...you chose this instead. And for that, I am sorry" Gwen said softly, as Salem felt a singular tear streak down her cheek, as she allowed the embrace of death to overtake her.
"Alright then...time for the God's" Gwen muttered, the corpse of the Queen of Grimm being absorbed into her. She felt bad for the woman due to the circumstances, but she also knew she was a horrid person, and deserved this death.
"What does she mean by "Taking care of them"? She can't kill the Gods, can she?" Weiss asked, watching the screen with wide eyes. Her day had been somewhat normal, until Korra's team dragged her to the Headmasters office, and her mind was promptly blown with the truth behind the grimm, and the fact that Gwen was going to be killing the woman that had been killing humanity for centuries.
Ruby, who stood close to Weiss, looked a bit worried at the idea "She'll be okay, right? I
mean, I know Gwne is strong, but not that strong!"
"She's crazy" Blake said bluntly as Yang snorted.
"That's an understatement" Yang said, as Korra and the girls just smirked.
"Oh trust us, she'll be fine" Korra replied, grinning slightly.
"How can she summon the Gods? You can only do that with the four reli- " Glynda wondered,
only to stop as she, Qrow, Tai, and Ironwood went wide eyed at the sight of Gwen summoning
the four relics in front of her.
"What is she doing!? Does she have any idea what this will-" "Just shut up and watch you annoying prick!" Artemis cut the man off, yelling at him, as M'gann flexed her telekinesis, forcing his mouth shut with a small giggle.
"She'll be fine, just...watch"
Summoning the four relics in front of her, Gwen watched as the four relics glowed brilliantly,
a beam of light shooting to the skies above, as her eyes hardened. She could feel them coming, the Brother God's. Their power was immense, but she felt that it was not as much as she thought, and was manageable. She'd have to kill them quickly, unless she wishes to accidentally end the world of Remnant, something she'd rather not do.
Slowly two brilliantly glowing figures began to lower from the clouds above, power radiating
off of them, as Gwen smirked slightly. These two figures were the God of Darkness and the
God of Light, aka the Brother Gods.
"You who has summoned us-" "Yeah I'd let you speak, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be some bullshit about "Judging humanity" so I'm gonna stop you right there. I'm going to kill the both of you, and you won't be stopping me, alright? Alright!" Gwen said with a grin, as the Brother Gods both blinked as she appeared in front of them, a singular strike landing against the God of Light's chest, launching him to the grounds below.
"You DARE?!" "Yes, yes I dare! Now, Brother Gods, give me a good battle!" Gwen said, the battle maniac in her beginning to rear its head as the God of Light glowed powerfully. "You will regret that, mortal!" He said, as a burst of light slammed against where Gwen was previously standing, as the teen blurred to the man.
The God of Light was her first target, as without him, the God of Darkness would get a lot weaker, for she could absorb him, and then get the power that would give her the edge over the God of Darkness. The Speed force and negative speed force gave her all the speed she needed in order to speed blitz the God, forcing him to his knees as she slammed a fist against
him.
Growling, the two looked at one another and nodded, as they began to glow brighter and
brighter.
"You have brought this upon yourself, mortal!" They roared, quite literally this time, as they slowly began to get larger and larger, forming into large draconic entities.
This, however, was exactly what Gwen had wanted from the beginning. For they were in fact
"Gods" but they were Draconic in nature, and she had a weapon specially made for dragons, and...it would be wielded for the first time today.
As the two brother God's roared and barrelled towards her at breakneck speeds, Gwen grinned, as a greatsword began to form into her hands, and she began to chant. "Awaken from the Golden Dream..." The sword began to glow a powerful blue color, as it's blade became coated in an aura of pure power.
"Release yourself from it's cradle" The sword became akin to a beam of energy, as she held it
in both hands, ready to swing it downwards.
"The evil dragons must be destroyed" The world around her began to shake and quiver, as her magical energy filled the blade with pure and unbridled power, the rocks in her surroundings floated, as Gwen grinned widely, and she spoke the name of the mythical blade that had killen the great dragon known as...Fafnir, and the name of this beautiful blade was...
"Balmung!"
As it's true name was uttered, Gwen swung towards the Brother Gods, and everything
went...white.

That's the end of the chapter!
Not sure how well this was written, as I wrote half of it in a sleep deprived state, so it might
have been a bit rushed. Next chapter will be her absorbing the Gods, completing more of her
tasks, and a timeskip.
Gwen will be leaving RWBY within 2 or 3 chapters, as this arc is...just not good, and for that I apologize. Next arc/volume will 100% be better, as it is the main arc of this fic, the one where everything comes to a head, and where Gwen WILL struggle.
Fanon Maker will likely get updated today. Anyways, have a good day!
