Chapter 411 Portals
411 Portals
"You know about their mysterious leader?" Aleyria asked him in surprise.
"Well, not really. I haven't met him yet, but in my multiverse, my friend would be negotiating with him to "share" the Shadow Realm and the Higher Realms in exchange for treasure and their Dark Runes upfront.
Basically a milking strategy before we slaughter the cow." Elliot grinned.
"I see. We were unable to get any information about him in our own multiverse. But he was the one who broke through the confines of reality, and somehow found a way to create this endless demon army." Aleyria said seriously. "Just like the way you broke through with your clone portals. I daresay this Devil has something similar."
"It doesn't matter anymore. With my clone portals, your defensive line would soon be filled with your strongest generals. The battle here would reach a stalemate, and a final deciding battle between the top fighters would take place. By that time, it would depend on your personal strength and ability to take down this devil.
But that is if your clones do not kill the devil first. You really are aggressive!" Elliot said with a laugh.
"We have been fighting this final battle for several days non-stop. I have lost many good fighters. Many of my friends are injured. I cannot let this war drag on any longer." Aleyria said grimly. "Your clone portals are a real life saver. They would give my men some breathing space and buy time for them to rest, heal their wounds and recharge. But I do not think that they are truly endless, are they?"
"For powerful beings like us, no they are not endless. But for your generals, they might as well be." Elliot said.
"Hopefully they are. That way we can truly force this main battlefield into a real stalemate." Aleyria said softly as her sharp eyes took on the developments of the battlefield.
By then, the hundred portals had grown to ten thousand, and were churning out ten thousand powerful generals every half a second!
The defensive sphere were very rapidly stabilizing and they were no longer losing ground at a rapid pace.
Within a few more minutes, they would even be able to halt the demon horde's advance!
However, at that moment, Aleyria's face turned extremely pale.
"A second portal has appeared behind our lines!!" She cried out in anger and in shock. "We need to contain the demon horde's advance there before we get pincered!"
Elliot immediately created a few hundred more of his clones and sent them to hold the line there.
He also maximised the clone portal which he had created to produce more clones of himself until he reached a grand total of a thousand clones.
He did not want to test the fates by creating more than a thousand clones. Already, his sixth senses was starting to give the smallest of tingles.
A few million powerful demon Ancients and Primals had already burst through the portal, and were about to attack the defenders from their rear.
Thankfully, Elliot's clones reached their positions in time, and started a wholesale massacre of the Ancients and Primals.
Still, Elliot's clones were hopelessly outnumbered, and were very quickly surrounded by a huge mass of demons.
"Sometimes, numbers do matter." Elliot sighed. "Very well. Numbers it is. Summon your beasts."
What was a cheat code? A code that allowed game breaking actions to be done, of course!
The fact that Elliot was able to create clone portals was already a cheat code.
But for each and every clone of his to be able to summon ALL of his powerful beasts as well, including the Dragon Apostles?
Elliot might as well type "Allyourbasearebelongtous" in his system's chat bar!
His hundreds of clones immediately became tens of thousands as his Darklight Summons, Tamed Beasts, Beast Apostles and Dragon Apostles appeared. They charged into the mass of demon Ancients and Primals ferociously and very viciously pushed them back into the portal!
That way, they narrowed down the space which the demons could appear and held the line there.
But the demons had sensed the shift in momentum, and they were growing desperate.
At that moment, three more portals appeared in quick succession, and millions of demons started to surge into the realm from there!
Elliot glanced at Aleyria, whose face had turned very gloomy.
"I will take two of them. Can you handle the last one?" Aleyria said as she recalled her clones from the enemy's portal.
All ten Aleyria clones had immediately appeared before two portals and were unleashing massive area of effect spells which were holding back the demonic advance for the moment.
Elliot too had diverted a hundred of his clones from the second portal to deal with one of the three new portals.
"Sure. I will need to go all out, but I can deal with two portals while you deal with the other two." Elliot nodded.
"Right. And at the first opportunity, dive into their realm and hunt down that Devil." Aleyria said.
And with that, the two of them split up and went on to stem the disastrous flow of demons still rushing through the portals!
All at once, both Elliot and Aleyria started to summon their Elementals from the adjacent Elemental Realms.
Powerful Fire, Ice, Earth, Wood and Metal Elementals surged through their own minor portals and charged at the demons.
From a distance, the clash between the two Realms was a swirling, colourful mess of violently interacting energies, ebbing and flowing like waves upon the beach.
At that moment, they were just about equal in strength.
The main army of Alexander and Aleyria's multiverse were holding back the demon horde from their main portal, while Elliot and Aleyria were racing with all of their strength to deal with two portals each.
Elliot had wisely left two of his clones behind to continue creating clone portals so that his Dragon Apostles could replicate themselves and help turn the tide around, but there were only so many beast cores he had on hand.
After creating so many portals, he could only create a thousand more.
They would have to make do with a thousand Dragon Apostles being cloned every half second!
But alas, the devil still had aces up his sleeve.
At that moment, two more portals appeared!
And they were even larger than all of the portals combined!!
