Chapter 328- One Delegation For The Medical Invitation (药函一行)
Xiao Hai Qing was also a little confused. The news she found all had different opinions, and she couldn’t tell which one was true.
But because it involved Jing Yun Zhao, her heart refused to settle if she didn’t ask a bit more.
“I did meet some dangers, but you also know how good I am in self defense so I didn’t suffer any losses. I managed to deal with them before informing Hua Zei. He’s also concerned about his brothers, so maybe he made a move because he was afraid Black Panther would come back for revenge,” Jing Yun Zhao didn’t lie regarding this.
Once Xiao Hai Qing heard what happened, her eyes almost popped out of her head, “Then, you mean you’re the fuse?!”
If Jing Yun Zhao had gone to Hua Zei back then, Hua Zei would not necessarily make things difficult for Black Panther, and neither would he ally with Black Devil King to take over his territory, creating this bloody massacre!
Xiao Hai Qing suddenly felt that the reality was actually so thrilling.
However, she was also afraid that Jing Yun Zhao would overthink, so she quickly followed up on what she said, “Hua Zei is still okay as a person...”
Jing Yun Zhao agreed.
Gan Jin Chen and Su Chu still haven’t recovered their wits. They never thought that Jing Yun Zho would come across such a serious matter, but seeing Jing Yun Zhao’s nonchalant attitude, they didn’t say much either. In case mentioning it gave her unneeded fear.
Once things were on the right track for the tea house, Jing Yun Zhao recalled the invitation from Old Man Xu.
The date on the invitation was coming up, so Jing Yun Zhao began thinking about how she should ask for a leave of absence from Teacher Qi.
The location was at Ning City and it was to be held in around another week or so. She was still a student, so it wasn’t possible for her to leave school as and when she wanted.
Still, when she thought that Teacher Qi would dig further, he actually looked her in the eye and gave her permission, “It’s a good idea to go back home for a few days and relax. Don’t stretch yourself so taut, otherwise you’d be even more stressed out by the time you reach your third year.
Jing Yun Zhao could only nod in astonishment.
Teacher Qi gradually let out a loud sigh.
If it were other students, he almost hated that he couldn’t make them work hard 24/7, but Jing Yun Zhao was different. He had never seen her behave like other teenagers and play hard before. Usually, she would still have her eyes on a book even as her friends were tittering around her, or she’d be writing this or drawing that. It was like she was possessed!
However, he understood. This child had been like this since her first year, making use of each and every second efficiently. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say she neglected sleep and forgot about food. If she continued like this, her grades would remain at the top yes, but her body would probably start to eat into itself.
This was the very reason why he gave his immediate approval once Jing Yun Zhao asked for a break.
Since everything was in order, Jing Yun Zhao gave a notice to her friends, Grandpa Gan, and Old Man Xu before she headed out to Ning City.
This was her second time at Ning City, so she wasn’t really that familiar with the roads.
Other than Elder Tang and her office, there wasn’t really anywhere else worth her attention. So she didn’t spend her time sightseeing and just took the bus to the location written on her invitation.
As written, it was in the suburban district of Ning City.
Jing Yun Zhao only arrived at her destination a few hours after she got on board her bus. Once she alighted, she noticed the place was serene, and that there were endless fields of medicinal plants on both sides of the road. There wasn’t a single business nearby, and even the number of houses could be counted on both hands. It was getting late, and the darkness of the setting sun cast an eerie glow on the area.
There was no one else in her immediate surroundings apart from her. She scrutinized the place and decided to walk towards a villa located a distance away, beside a trail leading from the main road.
The scent of herbs was strong, but the view was exceptional.
Because it was a long walk, once Jing Yun Zhao entered the villa, she was covered in the vapour from the fields. She looked travel-worn as she lugged her suitcase around.
