Chapter 33 - Extravagant Weapons Pavilion
'Which family is that?'
'Does the bid come from the seventh chamber?'
'I wonder which new family is lucky to get the opportunity to enter that chamber?'
'Shh...keep quiet. The adventurer's guild strictly ordered that no one should ask about the family sitting inside the seventh chamber.'
Lucas's bid created a small buzz that quietened down within a few moments.
As for the top families bidding for the strength crystals, they only frowned for a moment before stopping thinking about the mysterious family in the seventh chamber.
The thing is every time the adventurer's guild hosts an auction, they could give an elite pass to a newly established family in the Silverstone town and no information regarding that family will be leaked.
As long as that family has the money, they could bid for any item without intimidation from the other families and guilds.
All the chambers were semi-open; however, the seventh chamber had a glass that could stop anyone's vision from the outside.
"Lucky family from the seventh chamber bids 510 gold coins for this box of strength crystals."
"Once"
"Twice"
"Thrice."
"This box goes to the lucky family."
Since the information regarding the family in the seventh chamber should not be known to others, the female host called it the 'Lucky family'.
'Huh? Why did no one bid against me?'
In the seventh chamber, Lucas was surprised as he didn't expect that no one would bid against him.
Nevertheless, he was happy with the item he got for only 510 gold coins.
'I still have 500 gold coins left with me and adding to the gold coins from the beast core, I can buy a few more things without any problem.'
Lucas muttered to himself as he waited for the third item.
The 1000 gold coins were made by the old man Bernard who killed some rank 3 spirit beasts but at some point in time, he might have been killed if not for the Lesser mage robe that Lucas had given and two rank 3 shorts swords he bought before going for the hunting.
"Third item, Dark lotus - sold to Alchemy guild for 600 gold coins."
"Fourth item, Apprentice robe - sold to Mages guild for 450 gold coins"

The beautiful host took out one after another item from who knows where and all the items were bid for more than their average price.
"Now, the tenth item is a half-used rank 3 beast core."
In no time, nine items were sold to various guilds and families and finally, Lucas' item was taken out for bidding.
"As you know how rare it is even for a rank 4 beast, not to mention a rank 3 beast core. So, the starting bid for this item is 500 gold coins."
The beautiful host showed the beast core to everyone as she stated the starting bid for the item.
"Mages guild bids 1000 gold coins."
Elliott, the guild master of the Mages guild directly raised his bid by a double, making others think that he needed that item and he would be going to pay any price.
"Sorry to say this Elliott, my Alchemy guild needs a rank 3 beast core in the preparation of an important pill. So, I will be taking it."
The old alchemy guild master stood up as he shouted his bid, "1500 Gold coins."
"Weapons' pavilion can pay 2000 gold coins."
Even the weapons pavilion head raised the bid by 500 gold coins, making everyone present in the auction house surprised.
'Holy heavens, they increase each bid by 500 gold coins as though it was nothing for them.'
'I wonder when I am going to reach that level.'
'You can just dream on and you will reach that level instantly.'
'I wonder who is going to win it.'
'From the looks of it, everyone needs it for their own purposes.'
The onlookers were excited about the bidding war between the top guilds.
As for the top families, they were still thinking about whether they should participate or not.
'I am rich...I am rich.'
Seeing the bidding wars between the guilds, Lucas was having an ear to ear smile and hoped they would continue to bid more and more and make him rich.
'2100'
'2200'
'2350'
'3000'
Finally, the price for the half-used rank 3 beast core had reached a terrifying price of 3000 gold coins.
Originally, a rank 3 beast core's price should be below 1000 gold coins; however, despite it being a half-used beast core, it went for 3000 gold coins which was not within Lucas' expectations.
"Congratulations to the Alchemy guild for winning a rank 3 beast core for 3000 gold coins."
The beautiful host finalized the deal.
"Everyone, clap for the alchemy guild's guild master for getting the rank 3….half used rank 3 beast core for 3000 gold coins."
Before the bid for the next item started, the weapons pavilion's head stood up and mocked the alchemy guild's guild master.
"You"
Of course, the old man was furious; however, it was strictly forbidden to fight in the auction house. So, he could only control his anger and decided to show it when the time comes.
As for the beast core, he didn't bid any further as he knew it was already overpriced.
"Let's go to the next item."
Nevertheless, the beautiful female host continued to take a few more items as the auction continued.
After a few more items, the much-awaited item appeared making everyone silent.
"The item for this round is the 'Life-saver talisman' for the dungeon which is opening tomorrow. Since everyone knows its value, there is no starting price for it."
The host took out a green-coloured talisman as she showed it in every direction before placing it in a box of suitable dimensions.
"Alchemy guild bids 3000 gold coins."
Until now, Alchemy guild got only a rank 2 rare herb and a half-used rank 3 beast core because they were waiting for this talisman.
Even though it was useless outside the dungeon, the talisman's value is priceless inside the dungeon.
As long as their genius disciple had the talisman in their hands, they didn't have to fear death and they could collect various spells along with other cultivation resources.
So, the alchemy guild went all out to buy that talisman.
"3100 gold coins."
Surprisingly, the weapons pavilion that got so many items in today's auction increased the price by 100, making everyone surprised.
'How much money do they have?'
Lucas calculated the gold coins that the weapons pavilion bade for, he was shocked by the total price which was more than 20000 gold coins and thought to himself.
