Soul for a Girlfriend?

Chapter 214 - Fragments Of Our Moments

The other two periods went by pretty fast, as it was already lunchtime. Everyone was walking around talking with their friends. Kizhashi was over at Reina's desk talking with her and Saki.

Quite a few people were around Gaisen's desk, as they were all busy talking with Seryoku.

Seryoku Kuroi.

The new transfer student. And as Ms Tachibana said, everyone, mostly girls, was more than happy to help him with his studies. He was, of course, quite the good-looking guy, with luscious blonde hair and blue eyes.

I got up from my chair and headed towards them as I wanted to walk with Gaisen. As I was approaching them, I caught a glimpse of him talking with others with a soft and polite smile on his face.

.

Not paying much attention, I walked forward and noticed Tsumen talking with Gaisen talking with him too, as it was mostly the boys cracking jokes and all. I knew that I wouldn't fit there, so I turned around and walked towards the door.

I was walking towards the cafeteria as I needed my daily dose of chocy milk or I can't function normally. The hallways were crowded as usual.

I didn't join in on their conversation because I wasn't really the type of guy who would be able to converse in a group dynamics. Even though I knew most of the guys there more or less, so they wouldn't even have mind if I joined them.

Still, I would've felt like a sore thumb there.

I was returning towards my class while sipping the can of chocy milk in my hand. I'm glad they restocked this month's supply early. Or they could be laat month's too, but as long it's chocy milk, I couldn't care less.

Humans are 75% water, but I was an exception. I was 100% chocy milk.

As I was passing by the staircase, someone turned around the corner and bumped into me as I got a bit staggered. Shifting my eyes towards the person, I was a bit surprised as I said, "Sorry…"

"It's my fault for not looking where I was going." Naoto bowed down slightly to apologise as it was looking towards Yuna while walking down the stairs. They both seemed to be such strangers that it was surreal.

Only a month ago, one of them was my friend and I was dating the other one. But noticing them looking at me with such distant eyes were intriguing. It really made me question how the contract worked.

Magic is awesome.

Naoto was looking quite different as her vibes were quite different too. She was much more radiant now and Yuna seemed her usual cheerful self as there was a polite smile on her face.

I stepped aside, gesturing them to pass by as they proceeded to walk past me but Naoto stopped right before me and looked in my eyes. Her dark, round eyes staring into mine as she asked, "You're Sakamaki right?"

I was caught off guard as the certainty in her tone was concerning. She knew I was the guy she was looking for but still asked me. Yuna was confused as she narrowed her eyes at me. Shifting them onto Naoto, she asked, "You know this guy?"

"I'm Sakamaki. Do I know you?" I replied with nod as Naoto seemed a bit troubled. With a frown on her face, she looked at Yuna and said to me in a dumbfounded tone, "Um… sorry. I think there's been a misunderstanding."

"No problems." I said taking a sip from the can of my chocy milk as I bowed slightly and walked past them.

"You know that dude?" I heard Yuna's voice, as Naoto replied in an uncertain tone, "I don't know… he felt really familiar…"

"Wha…" Yuna's voice trailed off in the crowd as I continued moving towards my class.

I acted dumb because it was necessary to break her confidence. I knew what type a girl she was so if she sees even a hint of her being correct, there was a chance she would press on me and keep trying to acquire information out of me.

I was actually a bit nervous when she asked me that question in such a prompt tone. Yuna doesn't remember me at all, but seems like fragments of our memories were still active in her mind.

I've to be careful and avoid her at all costs.

This contract was really inconvenient.

I was done drinking the chocy milk, as I tossed the can in a trashcan right next to boy's washroom. Since I was already there, I thought it would be best to pee and then return to class since rhe second half was going to be quite hectic.

I was peeing in peace, as I noticed someone walk up to urinal right next to mine. Even though the whole washroom was empty, he chose the one right next to me which was suspicious.

Violation of the bro-code.

"You're from my class right?" I heard his deep voice as my eyes shifted towards him and it was Seryoku. He was concentrating on peeing while talking with me.

What a legend.

"Yeah… you seem to have sharp memory." I commented, as he nodded and replied, "Not really… I just happened to see you."

"And you remembered me?" I asked in a surprised tone, as he nodded slightly, "Pretty much."

"I'm Seryoku, as you already know. I don't think there was a need to introduce myself again." He awkward introduced himself again, as I was pulling up the zipper of my pants since I was done with the deed.

"Sakamaki." I said with a slight nod, as a smile formed on his face and he said, "You're the guy Tsūmen was talking about."

"What did he say?" I asked him as I expected something interesting but to my disappointment, he nodded and said, "That you two used to sit together."

He chucked as he probably understood that I was expecting something more spicy from him. He seemed like a chill dude, amd probably he was since he had the ability to start a conversation while peeing.

I needed to learn this ability too.
