Chapter 200 - Hidden Side Of Each Other
Ever since the day Shiraishi kissed me, she hasn't talked with or even came to my class after saying all that poetic shit, "You're mine, that's all." "That's all there is to your stupidness!" is what I would've said if I met her again.
Yesterday Lilith told me that Shiraishi was my target, and I also got to know about the fact that the name of the crazy ginger head was Shiraishi Suzuha. But I still didn't know anything about her as the best thing I did yesterday was stare at her.
Even though Lilith said that I wouldn't have to go through the pain of approaching her again, it was easier said than done. I had to think of a way to talk with her, at least since. But for that I needed to gather intel on her.
I had a slight image of her inside my mind, which was completely based on how she looks and the way she behaved. It appeared as if she was more of a gyaru than I could tell by those open shirt buttons and knee-high socks. She was actually quite hot, if I was being honest.
I decided to meet with Kizhashi as she was the best source for me to gather intel, so I told her to meet me after school and she didn't have any problems with it.. So, as planned, I was waiting outside the school gate.
It was half an hour past our home time so there weren't many students around me, but still a few were leaving the campus now and then. The sun was setting too since winter was creeping upon us. The days were getting smaller.
The orange hue was illustrating the sky as the slightly chilly winds blew past me while I could hear frequent chirping of birds. It was quite peaceful as I took out my mobile from my pocket and started fiddling with it.
"What is it?" I was looking through my texts when a sharp voice pierced my ears as I glanced towards the source and there stood the figure of Kizhashi with an annoyed look on her face.
The tip of her nose was red as she was wearing the cardigan of our uniform which was slightly bigger than her so she was holding the sleeves, as I asked, "The fuck you feeling so cold for?"
"None of your business." She shot back and started walking, as I put my mobile back in my pocket and walked behind her and asked her sarcastically, "Damn, that's how you greet others?"
She turned towards me with a soft smile, which I knew was fake because she would never smile at me like that. In a soft voice, she said jokingly, "No, it's just you."
Of course, it would just be me because she hated me even before she knew me and after realising how I really am, her hatred for me just multiplied. Though she was doing her part of the deal, we made correctly so I had no complaints.
We kept walking in silence as my eyes shifted towards her and she was smiling cheekily while covering her mouth with her oversized sleeves, which for some reason; I found very cute at that moment.
She turned towards me and our eyes met as I slowly shifted my eyes towards the road and asked her, "Why is that every time you talk with me, you are pissed?"
I again gave her a side glance, as her eyes moved diagonally upwards and she appeared to be thinking about something. At last, a smile formed on her face as she replied, "I don't know… looking at you makes me pissed off."
"Huh?" I looked at her with pure confusion as she chuckled to herself and asked me in an annoyed tone again, "And what do you need? You don't talk with me for months and then suddenly drop by."
What was she even complaining about? It's barely been three months since I met her and what the hell am I even supposed to talk about with her. We were completely different people at the far end of the spectrum. And I thought she didn't want to talk to me. That's why I never really tried to strike up a conversation with her.
I looked at her with confusion as she shook her shoulders, expecting me to say something. Narrowing my eyes at her, I said in a plain tone, "It's not like you would reply to my texts."
She instantly replied with a more confused expression, "Your texts are weird… how am I supposed to reply to them!?"
"Jeez…" I mumbled under my breath, as she rolled her eyes and kept walking with the annoyed look on her face.
What does she even want me to do?
I remember that it was her request to not talk with me when we were at school, but she was fine with talking with me outside school. I was curious about her reasoning so I ended up asking, "What's up with you talking with me after school but not in school?"
She glanced at me and with a nod, she said casually, "It feels weird talking with you in school."
I had an idea as to why she would feel awkward talking with me in school. And since the dynamic between us wasn't something normal, it would be difficult for both of us to talk with each other in school.
Both of us knew the hidden side of the other, but talking comfortably in front of others can risk its revelation.
"Because I'm weird?" I asked, and she instantly replied in a cheerful tone with a bright smile on her face, "Exactly!"
This girl sure loved messing with me, even though she could actually be telling the truth again. I couldn't care less about what her opinion about me was, but it was still fun to tease her. "You… little piece of…"
"Kizhashi-san!" I couldn't finish my sentence as an unfamiliar voice broke our conversation by calling out her name. Both of us turned around and saw a boy standing there with an embarrassed expression on his face.
