Solo Cultivation in The Apocalypse

Chapter 82 Magic Resistance.

Kamiya raised his wand and called for a wave of fire that engulfed the swarm of venomous Tsetse flies. It was easy to take down the flies and it was necessary.

If only one of the Tsetse flies had managed to bite Kamiya, it would have been his end. He did not have a spell that would cure poison, nor did he have a berry or poison heal potion.

After the swarm of flies was burned down to crips and the flies' dust fell down, Kamiya felt someone staring at him from behind.

And he knew just who it was, "but your hammers can smash your heads." he heard a deep raspy voice behind him.

His head hesitantly tilted and turned around along with his body. He clearly saw Kazon as it lifted its hammer.

Hammer was not the problem but the two straight spikes were the problem. Kazon roared and took its hammer near its head.

He suppressed his racing heart and jerked his body to run from Kazon's radius once again.

A strong blow of air ripples was created when the hammer missed Kamiya but banged on the ground.

Kamiya was thrown forward by the air ripples, he rolled on the ground, got back up then started to run in the right direction.

Kazon pulled its hammer back and took a step forward when suddenly, it found something on its hammer.

Kazon's eyes went wide and a smirk spread on his face. Kazon stared at the sprinkles of red blood on the head of its hammer.

"I need to hide," Kamiya muttered to himself as he searched for the best hiding place.

He had run to the right side just to fool the Duergar. In reality, he took a detour to the left side of the forest from behind Kazon.

Kamiya took a U-turn after running for two seconds to the right and rushed down the path.

Kazon stood on its spot calmly with a smirk as it moved its head to the right side, then behind.

"It would not see me in the dark." Kamiya had guessed. He ran from behind Kazon and reached the left side of the forest.

Kazon made sure Kamiya was out of its sight and that Kamiya could not see it. When the coast was clear, Kazon turned and took a step to the left.

Mud hung down the silver hammer as Kazon lifted it. It gave its hammer a tight swing and threw off all of the mud.

Kazon shook its head and scoffed at Kamiya's actions. It kept its hammer on its shoulder and continued walking.

When Kamiya had reached the right side and found a hiding spot behind a few trees, he received a message.

[-18 health]

Kamiya frowned. He remembered when Kazon had swung its hammer and an energy wave pushed him forward. But, at the same time, he felt as if Kazon's hammer had touched him.

Kamiya's arm reached his back and touched the scratch formed by the hammer's spikes. When Kamiya pulled his hand forward, he saw blood on his palm.

Kamiya lifted his head and glanced around when he heard some rustling sound. On focusing, Kamiya realized that the farby trees were falling down.

Someone was cutting down the trees. Kamiya quickly got to his feet and searched for the best option for a retreat when suddenly, his message window popped.

[Leonine: Kamiya!! Help me!! Please, please, I am badly hurt and have no potion left, please find me! I am in the middle of some… some forest]

Kamiya stared at the message with a solemn look. What do you think I am? Kamiya wanted to ask but another message popped.

[Leonine- I am in The Dreadful Retreat, it is a forest in the middle of the floor. Please, please find me!]

She was in an emergency. It was clear to Kamiya from her urgent texting tone. But his situation was no different from hers. Well, maybe he is not as hurt as she is.

Kamiya did not try to open the dungeon map cause it was a dungeon and dungeon maps are only available for conquered dungeons.

This was a conquered dungeon but Kuzu had turned off the 'map' option, making things hard for the raiders.

"How foolish…" the same rusty voice startled Kamiya, "...to think that you would be able to escape my Darkvision."

Kamiya's mouth dropped open, and he closed it, "Darkvision?" he frowned at Kazon.

Darkvision- an ability to see in the darkest places.

Kamiya closed the message window and equipped his magic dagger. If magic does not work then he will use the dagger only.

"Those weapons are useless," Kazon spoke as it took heavy steps towards Kamiya.

'It is no use.' Kamiya thought, 'I can not keep running.' Kamiya bit his lips.

Kamiya hid his dagger behind his waist and got ready to attack the Duergar.

"I am dead anyway," Kamiya muttered as he glanced at his mana bar and his health bar. It will touch the bottom soon.

They both bolted from their spots. It is just that Kamiya was lighter and faster than the Duergar so he managed to get under the Duergar.

But a little scratch was not enough to kill it. So Kamiya decided to stab the Duergar's stomach that was visible from the gap above his hips.

This Duergar's stomach was different from the other two, it did not have a big belly like the other two. Kazon's stomach was… well, rather ripped.

Blood sprung on Kamiya's hand. He stared at the dagger that was stabbed, then looked up at Kazon.

Kazon brought his head down to glance at a dagger that was stabbed in its stomach.

Kamiya gulped. He pulled his dagger out and stabbed it once again.

This time, Kazon grunted in pain. Soon, its grunt turned into a roar as it lifted its thick arm and landed a strong punch in Kamiya's face.

Blood flew out and Kamiya landed a few feet away on the ground.

Kazon threw its arms open and screamed at the top of its lungs. With a snap, Kazon pulled its arms forward and its biceps popped up.

Kamiya slipped on the muddy ground. He took support of his knee and stood straight.

Kazon's eyes turned red and increased in size. Kamiya stared blindly as Kazon's chest plate along with other equipment increased in size.

Kamiya found it strange to see that even his dagger had grown in size and it was still in Kazon's stomach.

"Ah-uh. I should get out of here," Kamiya stuttered as he jolted his feet. He wanted to run, he did not know where, but he wanted to run. Away from the Duergar.

Behind him, Kazon had increased in size and became a fourteen feet Duergar. He snorted while staring at the ant-like Kamiya who was running away from it.

While on his way, he realized that his hand was empty but Kamiya did not dare to snatch his dagger from the raged Kazon.

But without the dagger, Kamiya has left no weapon and no weapon means… well, nothing to defend himself against Kazon.

And his mana? He did have his wand at the ready but he was low on mana, even one spell would cost him his life now.

As he ran through the forest the ground had started to stiffen up, but he had only one thought on his mind- "Are you alright?" he muttered, "where are you… Hitori?"
