Solo Cultivation in The Apocalypse

Chapter 50 Fifty.

The Kori dungeon, Hogosha Phoenix dungeon, Pontianak lair, and the Yuki lair. All these four properties had merged together.

The total radius of dungeons under Hitori, Kamiya, and Reon's rule stretched out to a total of three hundred and five-meter radius. So Kamiya had to use three thousand yen to relocate the dungeons near the Hogosha dungeon.

Since the entry to Hogsha dungeon was a hidden passage that would unlock due to luck or previous knowledge, Kamiya had placed the Pontianak lair over it with the other dungeons surrounding the rest of the area.

It was somewhere around the middle of noon, Reon had logged out for the day since she was sick of staying in the game for more than two days.

Hitori had sat on his throne in the lair while he browsed through the game's shop. Hitori's forty percent share of the Pontianak lair was divided further into twenty percent. The rest twenty perfect belonged to Kamiya.

Kamiya on the other hand, well, was sitting on the third throne that had appeared on the left side of Reon's throne. It was obviously shorter in height and smaller in dimensions compared to the other three thrones.

"It would not take them long to discover our position," Kamiya spoke, he broke Hitori's concentration, "and we are low on money,"

Hitori looked away from his screen and turned to Kamiya, "how much do you need?"

"Well, we have forty thousand in the treasury but surely, we will need much more to upgrade the defenses, set the traps, upgrade the monsters to the next level, and… hopefully, replace useless creatures such as goblins with other monsters,"

Hitori sighed, "how much?"

"Too much."

"Will seven hundred thousand be enough?"

"No, no, we need more than seven thousand–" Kamiya's eyes went wide and he realized what Hitori had said, "s- s- seven hundred–"

Hitori had gained a sum of one million when he logged in as a lucky ten-millionth player of the game. Money was not the only cheat. His base stats grew tremendously, his starting level was ten, and he got a pretty good skill set.

Hitori opened his status screen, and he transferred seven hundred thousand yen to the base's treasury.

Kamiya was further shocked when a message appeared.

[seven hundred thousand yen has been transferred to the base's treasury by Ryu #1845]

[ownership of Ryu over the territory has increased from forty-two point five percent to fifty-three percent]

"W- where did you get so much money from?" Kamiya's mouth dropped open.

He shrugged, "Luck. I got lucky," Hitori replied as he went back to surf through the shop. He was silently doing his work when another message popped.

[God's Hell has added seven thousand yen to the base's treasury]

,m [God's Hell's stakes have increased from twenty-nine percent to thirty-four percent]

Hitori glanced at Kamiya, "you do not have to, you should save your money, Kamiya." Hitori leaned forward from his throne.

"Thirty-four mines, fifty-three yours. That leaves Reon-san with twelve… no, thirteen percent." Kamiya shrugged.

Hitori kept staring at Kamiya for a few seconds before he shook his head and went back to browse the shop. The reason Hitori was going through the shop was to find a good pair of equipment, a weapon to replace his gun, a skillset module (it is hard to find a reasonable skill set module cause players to keep the best skillset to themselves and sell the ones they do not need).

And, he needed a hundred or two fire mana gems to feed Fierce on them, the more she eats, the stronger she will become.

Kamiya went back to edit the dungeon's defenses, to arrange the dungeons in a particular order. Set a few traps, import new monsters, feed gems to the monsters to level them up.

He had a digital screen opened in front of him which gave him a view outside of the dungeons, a view around and above the dungeons too. So it was easy for him to set the defenses and traps.

Kamiya did not need to go anywhere, everything was possible just from sitting comfortably on his throne.

Unfortunately, one can not mix the monsters of this dungeon with that dungeon. The monsters of a dungeon stay in the dungeon. But yeah, one can alter the number of monsters that stay in the dungeon.

Even while increasing the number of certain monsters, the dungeon might overload and burst into nothingness. One shall always keep that in mind while altering the population of monsters.

While surfing the shop, Hitori's eyes caught a pretty badass fire mana gems deal. It sold a thousand fire gems at the rate of one thousand and five hundred yen when in reality, the average price of fire mana gems ranges from two to four yen per gem since fire mana gems are the most basic gem and can be found easily.

Whoever this person was, he surely had a stack of fire gems and wanted to sell them off somehow or was really a generous person.

Whatever the case was, Hitori was happy that he found such a great deal. A thousand mana gems at such a cheap price. He was about to purchase the stack of thousand fire gems when suddenly, a message popped on his screen.

[chat with 'Emperor's Scrap Picker' has started]

[Sunday, at zero O'clock, shit is going down between us]

Hitori's heart took a leap when he read the message that had popped out of nowhere. Hitori called Kamiya over to show the message.

[We would not attack before the scheduled time, you have my word] and he went offline.

Hitori and Kamiya exchanged glances without saying anything for a while. Kamiya went back to his throne and gulped hard.

"Looks like our position is exposed."

"Today's Thursday," Kamiya started, "t- t- that means, if we count today, we have Friday, Saturday-"

"Three days. Zero O'clock means midnight on Saturday, that is when Sunday starts."

"Right." He gulped once again, "only… three days." They both glanced at each other again before they went back to do their work.

Inside a room where Kuzu sat, the sunlight was shining brightly through the glass doors. The big buildings and most parts of Tokyo city were visible if anyone stood on the balcony.

He had already ended the chat with player Ryu but still, Kuzu kept staring at his monitor's screen for a while. He pulled his fingers away from the keyboard and moved them towards an orange color mouse.

"Finally," he lifted his scary yellow eyes with a glint of anger in them, "I have found you," he got up from his big, dark yellow, and faint orange gaming chair that had a wide headrest and long armrest.

The room he was sitting in was another large room with ten more gaming consoles. It had less number of stations compared to how big the room actually was.

Kuzu pulled out his card from the card scanner, shut down his computer, and started to walk out of the room. The door automatically slid open for him.

He turned to his right, he stood in a wide hallway that seemed to never end. They took a few steps forward and climbed into an elevator.

He pressed the digital button on the side of the elevator which read- seventy-five. The elevator started going up. After a few seconds, the elevator slowly came to a stop.

The door slid open, Kuzu stepped out. When he walked down a short narrow hallway, a big door stood in front of him which had 'Onogi' written in Kanji in the middle of the door.

Kuzu knocked politely on the door. The door automatically opened into two parts and Kuzu entered the room. This room was big too but it only had a single table in the center and a gaming station on the right.

Behind the table was a chair and behind the chair was a wall of fame which held numerous awards, medals, certificates, and… a few monsters' mana hearts.

"Erabu?" called the voice of a young man in his twenties, "good timing,"

Kuzu walked inside, he saw a tall man with a muscular body frame standing on the balcony, viewing the hundreds of buildings around and below him.

"Yes, sir?" Kuzu politely bowed.

"The mage users are gaining more and more quests these days… the guilds of some lower science users are on the verge of being demolished…" Kuzu listened, "I received a quest request to clear a dungeon in Hiroshima," the man turned around, he pulled his hands out of his pockets.

There were a few deep marks of wounds and a few slight scars on his forearms. He had dark red hair and a pair of dark brown eyes. He was rather handsome, with the looks of a playboy.

"I will be leaving tomorrow, it might take me three or more days to clear the dungeon and settle things with the client."

"Yes, sir," he nodded.

"I will take my gaming card with me if I get a chance to play but I will not be active so I am afraid… you will have to do it on your own,"

"That is no problem. I have already tracked Ryu down, and we will be attacking his base on Sunday."

"I will be back by Monday, make sure you have some good news for me." Ongi walked to his table and picked up his premium card.

"I wanted to ask… what about Darkness, Onogi-san?"

"Darkness… he is the one who provided us with information, right?" Kuzu nodded, "but he is a mage, after all…"

"A third-year, yes," Kuzu confirmed.

Onogi turned his eyes at Kuzu, "well, you know what to do with him then," Onogi shrugged, he looked at the balcony again, "all these mages must meet their fate… sooner or later." Onogi clenched his fists.

"I will take my leave, Onogi-san,"

"Hm."

Kuzu nodded, turned around, and left Onogi alone in the room.
