Chapter 216 Is she even alive?
Chapter 216 Is she even alive?
In the middle of a dense forest, two slender elegant wolves were running at top speed. It looked as if one wolf was chasing the other.
"Calm down, Roman!" Isaac shouted as he took a deep breath and leaped forward with all of his might. The other party was far stronger than him so he knew that he couldn't catch up.
The only thing that he could do now was shout and hope that the bullheaded stubborn person listens to his words, but…
That did not seem like it was going to happen!
Roman acted like he did not hear him and kept running forward. Perhaps he really did not hear him.
Issac sighed at the thought of how much the woman had an effect on him. Roman had changed so much in just a few weeks.
Ever since she arrived on this land, everything about him had changed completely. The ruthless and cold lycan king who ruled with an iron fist was now replaced by this new person.
"Please listen, Roman. I can smell a lot of beasts up ahead. The scent of blood is thick. This entire place is putrid and reeks of death. We cannot go there. At least wait for our clan to arrive."
"You cannot fight all of them alone, ROMAN! Do not throw away your life!"
Isaac clenched his fist, trying his best to increase his speed even more. No matter how much he tried this person was not listening to him.
It looked like the only way to stop him would be to literally knock some sense into him but he did not have the strength to do so.
"ROMAN! Please stop! You will die! If Sylvia is there, she is already dead. Please stop and think rationally. Don't rush like this."
"ROMAN! Your entire clan is dependent on you!"
"You cannot throw your life away for one girl!"
"COME ON! Please listen to me. Stop and think for a second."
Isaac stopped. All his efforts seemed to be in vain, but he needed to do something. Otherwise… the wolf's eyes shone with anger as he lifted his head and let out a loud howl.
AWOOOOOOO!
This was it. This was the only thing that he could do for his friend. Call him!
"Please stop. Please stop. Please stop." Isaac prayed in his heart as he continued howling loudly.
AWOOOOOOO! AWOOOOOOO! AWOOOOOOO!
No wolf should be able to resist his pack's call.
Though shouting like this when a group of dangerous beasts was ahead was extremely foolish, he did not know what else to do!
He had tried everything and now he only had this last resort left.
"ROMAN STOP!" Isaac howled loudly at the top of his lungs, his eyes fixated on the figure that was quickly disappearing away from him.
As the sound of his agonized loud howls resounded in the huge forest, the man's figure slightly paused and shuddered, but the next second he kept on running.
Isaac's eyes widened in surprise. His next howl got stuck in his throat from the shock of what he saw. The lycan king had ignored the call of his pack?!
He cared about that woman so much that he ignored the call of his own pack?
Isaac no longer knew what to do. He dazedly resumed his chase, not even bothering to call after the man any longer. Clearly, Roman was already long gone.
The two of them rushed towards the source of the disturbance at full speed and Sylvia's scent was also growing stronger.
The closer they went her scent was more vivid and not just that, her scent was mixed with blood as well.
Isaac knew that this was what was probably driving Roman crazy. That girl was definitely bleeding and hurt. Chances were that she was already dead.
The two wolves dashed ahead as fast as possible. Their expressions turned even more solemn and grave as they neared the area.
Now they could clearly sense the powerful and strong beasts and there was also… the unmistakable aura of the draconic presence.
"She is still alive?" Isaac was dumbfounded.
Roman staggered a little and let out a small breath as if he was sighing in relief. He then sprang forward, closing the last mile of distance in just a few leaps.
However, just as he reached the final destination and looked at the sight in front of him, Roman was completely frozen still.
"What happened?" Isaac as well shortly arrived after him. He could feel that something was amiss. He quickly arrived to stand next to Roman and when he did, his face also changed.
The two wolves were utterly shocked to their core and simply stared ahead without moving a muscle.
And surprisingly, they were not alone!
Roman gulped as he sensed someone on his right and turned around to see another familiar figure standing next to him.
It was none other than Frederick Akhekh, the current draconian Emperor of the beast kingdom and also Sylvia's father.
But how was he here?
Roman's lips curled upwards. It seems that though the man acted outwardly as if he hated Sylvia, he was still very worried for her.
He probably did not have all the details that Roman had and yet he had managed to reach here before Roman did.
But this was not the thing that shocked him the most.
The two men looked at each other, silently exchanging words and their gazes turned back to the star of the show, the silver draconian princess standing in front of them!
To be more accurate, she was not simply standing.
She was ruthlessly massacring the countless beasts that surrounded her.
ROAR! Sylvia growled as she moved her claws around, skillfully taking care of the few beasts that were still left standing.
Not one animal was able to land a hit on her.
Her entire body remained pure and clean, even the blood drops not falling on her. Nothing could touch her and she was absolutely dominating the battlefield.
The group of royals had rushed here to save the damsel in distress but it turns out that she did not need any help after all.
