Chapter 127: Physical Battle
Chapter 127: Physical Battle
Sol looked at the referee, he was hoping that it was a mistake, he did not come to the arena to fight a Demi-titan.
"There is no mistake, Mad Dog's true form is a giant hell hound, we especially use some method to turn him into a human form, he won't be as strong as his true form," The referee explained to Sol.
"The organizer already takes this into account, if he breaks the human form restriction then he loses, as for you, you still forbidden to use conjuring ability to keep fairness," he continued his explanation.
Sol was glad that Mad Dog actually under restriction, if he really was a human Demi-titan then Sol's chance of winning would be nonexistent.
The problem was how much his strength was restricted under the human form, Sol never heard a method to give a titan with human form so the restriction must have some big disadvantage to the creature.
Sol could only find out how much strength the mad Dog could muster by fighting the Demi-titan, worse come to worse, Sol would only lose the fight.
"I have quite a bit of knife aura, and he had no equipment, this fight should not be so one-sided," Sol analyze the situation with the limited information he got.
When the fight started, Sol jumps back to gain some distance, with conjuring ability or not, the basic was still the same, never fight someone with superior physical ability in close combat.
Sol would be out of his mind to Fight Mad Dog in close combat, at worst his physical ability would be on par with lesser demi-titan, but there is a high chance that his physical ability is still beyond lesser demi-titan.
Once he lands at the edge of the arena, Sol raised his javelin and threw it at the Mad Dog in one smooth motion, booming sound explode when the javelin left Sol's hand as it was so fast that it breaks the sounds barrier.
Sol's speed was anything but normal to a lesser demigod, he had accumulated a lot of knife aura, which push his speed to the limit.
Sadly he could not use the knife aura to the javelin as he was forbidden to use his conjuring ability, manipulating the aura was considered as using the ability.
The javelin flies straight to Mad Dog's bare chest but the Mad Dog moves lightning-fast, dodging to the side and caught the javelin by the shaft.
The Mad Dog borrows its momentum and spins his body 360 degrees, throwing back the javelin back to Sol's direction.
The javelin got even faster than before, it almost reaches Sol in a blink of an eye, if Sol could manipulate his conjuring ability then he could just shatter the javelin as it was created by his ability, but he was restricted to not use his conjuring ability so he could only depend on his physical strength to dodge.
There was nowhere for Sol to move back as he was at the edge of the arena, his only option was to dodge to the side but it would take too long for him to do so.
Luckily the javelin was aiming at his shoulder as the Mad Dog movement did not allow him to return the javelin with pinpoint accuracy.
Sol raised his knife and parry the javelin to the side, sparks were flying from the knife from the friction, the javelin got pushed to the side a bit that it only grazes Sol's shoulder armor.
The shoulder armor edge got shattered from the impact and Sol's shoulder could be seen bleeding, but the injuries were not big enough to disable his arm.
Sol was alarmed by the power and speed of the javelin, it could shatter his armor like glasses, if he uses that as a reference then he could say that the Mad Dog's every attack would be able to pierce his armor.
Both of them are similarly unarmored in this fight, the Mad Dog was unarmored because he did not wear any while Sol was unarmored because his armor was ineffective.
The Mad Dog move toward Sol in a dash, he moved almost as fast as Sol's javelin, the audiences were barely able to keep up with the fight.
The fight had reached a different height than the previous two fights, in physical ability alone, the Mad Dog and Sol were beyond the minor Demigods.
It allows them to fight with much more strength and speed that they could do impossible tricks.
Seeing the demi-titan was closing the distance, Sol threw his knife straight at the man's face and ready his sword to welcome the man.
The knife flies at such a speed that it was a few millimeters in front of the man's eye, but right before it could touch the man, he tilts his head to the side, dodging the fast moving knife that it only cut a few strands of his hair.
Sol did not wait for the knife to land before he resummoned it, his speed in resummoning his armament got faster than before that he had it in his hand before the Demi-titan reaches him.
Mad Dog swung his tomahawk sideways, cutting through the air, and went straight to Sol's neck aiming to behead him in a single motion.
Even if the fight was not a dead battle, it was not forbidden to kill each other, accidents happen from time to time, and it was up to the one fighting to protect their life, so it was important to know their own limit.
Sol crossed boh his sword and knife to block the incoming attack, the impact was so big that it created a shockwave through the colosseum.
If it had connected with Sol's neck then there was a hundred percent chance of his head leaving his body.
He had no plan to receive the full brunt of the impact, Sol bent his body backward before letting the tomahawk continue on its path right above him.
If he blocks the hit fully then his weapon would be broken to pieces and the tomahawk would continue to his neck, even his armament would be broken by it.
Armament was one of the hardest weapons to break, it grew stronger with the owner so it needs to be really durable so the owner won't outgrow the weapon.
Sol had no plan to find out whether his knife strong enough to block such a strong attack, the cost was not worth it.
Sol was in a difficult position, with his body bending backward, he was full of opening that it was impossible for the Mad Dog to miss it.
The Mad Dog swipe his foot under Sol to make him fall, but Sol exceptional reflex let him jump up, he looked like he was laying on the air in the middle of a swinging tomahawk and Mad Dog's swiping foot.
Sol kicked the Demi-titan in the stomach while at it, borrowing the impact to push himself away from the Mad Dog.
Sol rolls away on the edge of the arena while the Mad Dog stagger half a step back from his kick, Sol quickly get to his feet to correct his form as the Mad Dog was already upon him again.
He could feel his feet tingling from kicking the Mad Dog, his body was so hard that Sol was barely dealing any damage with that kick.
Sol tried his best to maintain the little distance he gained in the exchange, he would throw his knife while moving back in a circle, luckily he was fast enough to maintain the distance.
As long as he did not get cornered again, the Mad Dog would not be able to force him into a melee fight.
The Mad Dog tried to catch his knife but Sol would resummon it before it could be thrown back at Sol.
Sol already knows that the Mad Dog could use his weapon against him, so he would not give the Demi-titan to do so.
After a few minutes of maintaining the balance, both Sol and Mad Dog knew that they could not keep the status quo, they need to do something so the fight would progress.
Sol was contemplating his option when the demi-titan suddenly raised his tomahawk back, Sol got a bad feeling when suddenly Mad Dog threw the Tomahawk at Sol.
This time the tomahawk went straight to his chest while spinning to the side, there is no way for Sol to block or parry it.
The spinning motion makes it very difficult to block and parry, his only choice was to dodge but it was too fast to be dodged.
Sol was out of options, he was thinking if he should use his conjuring ability and risk getting disqualified, there is a high chance that the referee would be able to detect his conjuring ability even if it was an invisible ability such as healing dome and knife aura.
"Fuck! They give me no choice!" Sol cursed in his heart as he resolutely used his ability.
