Chapter 359  358: I Have A Way

The instant Corey's flames from his dreamfire engulfed the entirety of Erik, a shrill scream resounded in the sewers, shaking several surrounding rats and several living creatures.

"STOP!"

Ariana screamed with a tone filled with horror and disbelief as she watched her teammate getting burned alive by the most beautiful flames she had ever seen.

Although the flames were beautiful, what it was doing was not at all.

"Didn't you hear me? I said, N-O… No."

Corey chuckled with a wide bloodied smile as he kept on burning Erik.

Although Erik's screams sounded like that of banshee, it was pleasant in Corey's ears. Erik had given him a lot of trouble during the fight, and he even dared to treat him like a punching bag.

If he didn't retaliate, then wouldn't he look like a weakling?

Corey chuckled once again as he increased his output of his dreamfire while also using painful echo and soul entropy along with it.

Although dreamfire burns a person's physical body, Corey knew that it also burned and hurt a person's spirit.

Although his proficiency with dreamfire, painful echo, and soul entropy was not high, he could feel his proficiency for these two skills increase with every second that passed as he burnt Erik's body.

Before Corey could engross himself in the improvement of his two skills, his Eyes of Omniscience noticed Raphael pointing his guns at him and Ariana's change in her posture.

Corey quickly moved and placed Erik's body in the direction of Raphael's guns.

Raphael shouted with a voice filled with rage and horror as he watched his bullets pierce through Erik's body, leaving two bullet holes in heart.

If Erik had any chance of survival before being shot, it was obvious he was now dead.

"I'LL KILL YOU!"

Raphael screamed and fired multiple bullets at Corey. However, Corey calmly placed Erik's body in front of him, using it as a shield against Raphael's bullets.

"Shit!"

Raphael exclaimed while cursing Corey internally for his ruthless nature. He swung his hands without firing his pistols at Corey, and an extremely thin wire flew towards Corey.

Corey who was now able to see the thin wires clearly smiled, and just as he wires were about to ensnare him, he vanished.

"What?"

Raphael's eyes widened in disbelief, and so did the eyes of Ariana and Divine.

Puchi!

Raphael's eyes widened, and he looked at his chest with disbelief. He could see a hand protruding out of the left side of his chest.

"H-How?"

Raphael coughed out a mouthful of blood. He shakily turned his head to the back, and his bloodied mouth opened to speak.

However, a cold and low voice flowed into his ears,

"Burn for me."

Raphael's eyes widened in horror, "Wait!"

He shouted, but just like Erik, Corey's reply was:

"No."

Before Raphael could respond, an azure, silver, and violet flame engulfed Raphael's entire body, burning both his physical body and his spirit.

"AHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Raphael screamed in pure horror and fear as he felt death encroach him.

Silver's eyes were frighteningly cold, and he increased the output of his dreamfire.

He could see Ariana running towards him, but he didn't release Raphael at all.

"Leave him!"

Ariana shouted, and Corey smiled.

His senses and eyes saw that Ariana was already behind him. He shifted his body slightly, and in the next moment, a dagger protruded out of Corey's chest.

The dagger had narrowly missed Corey's heart.

Ariana was about to remove her dagger and continue her attack on Corey, however, a hand grabbed her outstretched hand.

"Don't go. Stay a little longer."

A terrible premonition appeared in her heart when she heard Corey's words, but before she could react, she felt her hand vibrate.

A baffled light flashed in her eyes, and a second later, it turned to one of horror.

Her entire body began to vibrate intensely, and she tried to move but she found out that her body was not listening to her.

Everything in her, every internal organ she had, her mystic core, and even her brain vibrated intensely and she found it difficult to think.

"Die for me would ya."

Corey mockingly said, and with a ruthless light in his eyes, he increased the output of his Vibration Manipulation.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!"

Ariana screamed in pure horror as she felt every orifice in her body secret every liquid in her body.

Crack

A crack resounded in her mind, and she knew that her mystic core had cracked.

"P-Please."

*Please stop."

She pleaded, but Silver did not stop. He increased the intensity of his Vibration Manipulation as his proficiency over it improved the more he used it.

Just as Ariana thought her life was over, her body stopped vibrating.

"Huh? Why did you not kill her?"

Divine's voice resounded in the sewers, and Corey who was drenched in sweat turned to look at him.

"Won't we need her to get out of the central area?"

Corey asked with an exhausted voice, and Divine furrowed his brows.

"Don't worry about that. I should be able to figure out the way out using the sewers."

Corey's eyes widened slightly in surprise, and he shrugged nonchalantly.

Meanwhile, Ariana's eyes widened in horror when she heard Divine's words, and she tried to plead.

However, Corey did not care.

With an indifferent expression, his dreamfire appeared in his hands and he burned her. Her screams echoed in the sewers, and the taxi driver had a fearful and regretful expression as he watched his boss getting burned alive.

"Do you have any plans for him?"

Divine gestured at the taxi driver who was beneath him, and Corey furrowed his brows with a thoughtful expression.

"I do. I think I can use him to figure out the location of the Assassin headquarters."

Divine raised his brows in disbelief.

"You can? How?"

Corey looked at the taxi driver with a light smile.

"It's a secret of mine."

Divine raised his brows, and looked at Corey's pure white eyes.

"You sure have a lot of secrets."

Divine chuckled, and Corey scoffed.

"And so do you."

Divine smiled, "True."
