Colt tilted his head.

"Also?"

"We knew that you would have easily agreed to it."

The man's lips arched to a grin. But, Colt's face constricted to a frown.

"Why is it, may I ask?"

'Easily agreed to it? Why I never planned to… Don't tell me Klautz's had involvement with these people?'

It was because of Klautz that Colt was driven to this state. Colt couldn't help but have Klautz under his radar as the very first.

But what he heard next made him throw his thoughts out of the window.

"Your loss at the showdown against Klautz had certainly been unexpected for us and an eye opener to you. But evem if such a thing were to not happen we had a leverage worthy enough to make you join our side. But since things worked out well. We won't be needing it anymore."

"Is that so? I wonder what it might be?"

Colt glanced at him with a closed eye. But the man never bothered to reply. It was clear that he wanted to keep it a secret. Instead he changed the topic.

"Klautz… he is also someone we are planning to capture, if you would be so as kind enough to help us for this."

'So Klautz is not with them it seems?' Colt thought.

"Klautz? But why?"

"…"

An awkward silence followed as the man refused to reply. The silence itself implied many things.

'I thought that they were just a bunch of kidnappers. Why would they target Klautz then?'

"You understand that despite Klautz's strength which I certainly accept that is greater than mine, he had no intrinsic value?"

Colt tilted his head.

"While it is true that there are many people in hell who advocate for the newbies to be protected. None of them would rise up at the death of a single one of them even though he might be the strongest.. You wouldn't be paid a penny for someone like him. He might be strong here but in our world he is but a prey."

The world of hell is harsh after all. No one would pay attention to a single person menat missing. Klautz might be the strongest but he was but a frog in the well. He was just strong here. In the world of hell, he wouldn't be among to much. And such a person would certainly hold no importance in the eyes of anyone present.

But the man nodded.

"I am aware of that… but he has uh… other uses."

'You certainly have no idea. He is a piece that if used well has the potential to demolish the whole camp all alone,' the man thought.

But it was better for the man to not inform Colt of any of their classified information. Colt might be helping them but in the end he was just a partner. He was not one of them.

"Hmm, but I am not sure that I would be able to help you guys with him. That is unless he chooses to become my follower which is certainly impossible. He would probably recruited by Benton this year."

Colt shrugged. There was no point in arguing over it. He had doubts that even the weakest newbies would follow him, let alone Klautz who had himself defeated him already. What worth did he have now?

"Ah, is that so? That's quite a pity then."

The man's lips pursed. It seemed like Colt too had some limitations. But he couldn't complain either as Colt's role was irreplaceable by all means.

Klautz was the one who had changed history. While it might seem like a small matter for some, there were many whose eyes had been caught up onto him.

'I wonder if I should give up on him.'

The man thought. Klautz would have been a great stepping stone for him. But he feared that if he tried to be too greedy, he might lose the whole mission altogether. He is playing with fire after all.

The man held his chin. Which could only lead for Colt's suspicion to grow further. Leaving aside the fact that the man was interested in a newbie, he couldn't trust him much in the first place. The whole thing seemed like a trap but it was the only thing he had to rejuvenate his lost reputation.

Sometimes for the sake of keeping a heroic and untainted image in front of the public one has to dirty his hands. After all, that perfect image is but a facade to draw the masses. Everyone has and would always have some faults. No one is perfect. Colt was no different and neither was Klautz..

'I have to find out if I can continue this with them or not.'

The last thing that Colt would want was to throw his image further into the mud. If it were to be revealed that he was amongst these hooligans, won't it be a complete mess for him?

Colt shook his head.

"No, I cannot let it happen," he whispered to himself.

Colt clenched his fists.

"So, when are you planning to carry all of this out? Even before thinking of the teams of our deal you must let me know exactly how it is you are planning to accomplish it. I have to brood over it whether you guys are even competent for this or not," Colt asked.

The man let go of his chin as he shrugged. At least he was quite confident on his team.

"It's simple actually, We will do it old school. You draw them out and we will take over from there. We will carry it out in a swoop before anyone can be alerted. You don't have to worry about anything, my men are well trained. No trace would be left behind."
