Secret Killer

Chapter 29 - Weird People

"Where are we?" Anna asked with an anxious look on her face.

Leon stabbed the knife into Anna's waist and said, "You talk too much. Just keep walking."

Of course, the knife was only 1 centimeter long. Anna's wound was nothing more than a little cut.

After getting her into his apartment, Leon locked the door and threw her on the floor. He was about to take his mask off because it was making him feel uncomfortable, and it was hard to breathe.

RING RING!

However, he received a phone call. When he checked, it was from Layla. He would have ignored the call if it was from someone else, but he couldn't ignore Layla. Although it wasn't as though he ever got any call from someone else, anyway.

After receiving the phone call, Leon said, "Hmm."

[Hello~]

"Hmm. (Hello)."

[Are you busy?]

"Hmm. (Kind of.)"

[Today is Friday, so I was wondering if you are coming home like every week.]

"Hmm. (Yeah, I was planning to.)"

[Great. I was thinking of cooking your favorite dish. So can you bring some vegetables on your way?]

"Hmm. (Okay)."

[Okay then. See you soon.]

"Hmm. (Bye.)"

For some reason, Layla could understand everything that Leon was trying to say.

Leon sighed and put his phone in his pocket. He was planning to torture Anna, but he had no time for that. However, he couldn't kill her just yet. There were some questions he wanted to ask Anna about the college campus and its security systems. He was planning to commit more crimes there.

Leon handcuffed Anna's hands and legs, tapped her lips, and locked her in his closet.

"I will deal with you later." He grabbed his bag, dropped his mask inside it, and locked the apartment door before leaving.

He could have taken a train or taxi, but he had to buy vegetables from the store.

'I don't know why but I am always excited to see Layla. Even now, when I should be dealing with Anna, I changed my mind after hearing Layla's voice.'

Neither Leon nor Layla had realized that the country… no, the world's fate was dependent on Layla's wish. If she desired for the world to be destroyed, Leon would destroy it without any questions. Similarly, if Layla ever asked him to stop doing something, he would stop it. However, Layla knew she wouldn't be able to suppress the monster inside Leon, so she never asked him to stop killing people.

If something were to happen to Layla, the world would be doomed.

Leon's bag, the bag he used to take to college and everywhere else, was Layla's favorite bag. They found it in their home, and Layla gave it to Leon on his birthday last week.

It was his first gift after ten years, and its value was priceless as it was given to him by Layla. It was a treasure to Leon.

But… things were about to get heated soon.

Leon was on his way to the store when a masked robber snatched the bag from his hand. Of course, Leon was holding it tightly, but as it was old, the material was weak. When the robber snatched it from Leon's hand, it was ripped.

Leon ran after the robber and ended up in a closed alley. After seeing he had nowhere to go, the robber raised his hand in the air and said, "I am sorry, bro. I am just a novice robber. You can have your stuff back. Please let me go, and don't call the cops!"

Leon looked at the stuff the robber was carrying, and he had a few more bags, purses, and wallets with him. However, Leon didn't care about that. He didn't even have money in his bag anyway.

The bag was all he had from Layla, and the robber ripped it. Even millions could not sum the value of the bag.

Leon took a deep breath and slowly walked to the stuff the robber dropped on the ground. He picked up his ripped bag and looked at it in shock. He was experiencing the same feeling he felt when he thought he would lose Layla.

"You can take anything you want, bro. Just leave me a little—"

Leon grabbed the man's face and smashed it to the wall next to him. He smashed it so hard that his head shattered into pieces of bones and minced meat, and the wall cracked.

"If you don't know how to rob, then don't rob," Leon muttered in a solemn voice.

The man's headless body slid on the wall— leaving a blood trail and eventually fell to the ground between the garbage.

He checked all the wallets and took all the money from there. Then, he started taking money from the purses, but he stopped when he heard the sound of footsteps.

He looked back at the entry of the alley and saw a woman with light brown hair and black eyes standing in front of him. She was looking at the headless body of the robber. However, the body was between the garbage, so more than half of his body was covered in trash.

'I need to kill her too.' Leon had to act calmly.

If the woman yelled, it would catch more attention, and Leon simply wanted to buy some vegetables and go home to Layla.

The woman slowly walked to the body and covered her mouth after seeing he was dead.

Leon slowly moved his hand to kill the woman the same way without making any noise. But instead, the woman kicked and stomped on the corpse and shouted, "Fuck you! How dare you steal my purse!"

"..."

"This is what you get!" she shouted. Then, she picked up her purse and murmured, "Good. Everything is safe."

She glanced at Leon, who was staring at her with a confused and puzzled look on his face. "Thank you for catching him." She moved her hand forward to shake hands with Leon.

"...." Leon raised his brows and wondered, 'I am meeting weird people today.'
