Chapter 30: Regret

Chapter 30: Regret

The person in the portrait seemed to be very irresponsible. Half of her body was at the edge of the portrait frame, and the other half leaned out of the portrait frame. It was unknown where she went.

Seeing this, Gryffindor Prefect was a little embarrassed. He quickly glanced at the eighteen new students. After a light cough, he called out loudly, "Lady! Lady!"

"Coming, coming." In the portrait, the fat lady retracted her body, assumed a posture, and said with a smile, "I'm chatting with my neighbor, Madam Mary. Okay, password."

"Phoenix." The senior student could not wait to respond.

"The password is correct. Please come in." The fat lady nodded slightly and raised her left hand to make a gesture of invitation.

The next moment, the picture frame slowly opened, revealing a door less than two meters high.

"Come in." The senior shouted behind him, "This is our Gryffindor common room."

As he spoke, the Prefect walked into the door as he spoke, and Coven and the other freshmen followed him.

Through the narrow corridor, they walked down the stairs. Soon, they arrived in a circular hall

The entire hall was red in color, with red carpets, red curtains, red sofas, and red carpets. There was no learning atmosphere in the entire public lounge. Instead, there was a sense of warmth in the living room.

"Alright, everyone." The senior Prefect clapped his hands and said to everyone who was observing the lounge, "On the left is the boys 'dormitory, and on the right is the girls' dormitory. Your luggage has been placed in your respective dormitories. I hope you will have a beautiful night."

The freshmen obediently separated into two sides, and the boys and girls went upstairs.

...

After Coven went upstairs, he quickly found his own dormitory. After pushing the door open and entering, he found that it was a circular room that was about 70 square meters.

There were five single wooden beds in the room, and all of them were hung with hand-made bed curtains. The five beds were divided into five stars of the entire room, and the end of the bed was facing the center of the room, forming a small circular space.

Before Coven could continue to observe, there was the sound of the door opening behind him. Two little boys walked in together.

Seeing the two children looking timid, Coven could only open his mouth to change the atmosphere. He said first, "Are you also from this dormitory?"

"Yes, yes." The boy with a slightly fat body and a small face nodded repeatedly.

"I am Coven Quinn." Coven extended his hand. "From now on, we will be classmates in the same dormitory."

"Hello, hello!" The freckled boy hurriedly stretched out his hand. "Celter, Celter Levien."

"My name is Dana Morale." The other thin boy introduced himself and shook hands with Coven nervously.

"It seems that there are only the three of us in this dormitory." Coven smiled and tried to find a topic. "There are only eight boys among the freshmen. The other five seem to be in the same dormitory."

"Oh, yes." The freckled boy, Celter, hurriedly and cautiously responded.

Beside him, Dana Morales did not know what to say. He could only nod his head in agreement.

"Alright..." When Coven saw this, he put away his thoughts of continuing to chat. He turned to look at the bed and said, "Then let's tidy up our own beds first and then rest early."

"Okay!" The two boys responded in unison.

Next, the three of them arranged their own luggage and beds. Of course, Coven would not keep the atmosphere silent all the time. As he tidied up, he looked for topics to ask.

In the end, he found out that both Dana and Celter were pure ordinary people, which was also the Muggle family that wizard mentioned. It was no wonder that they had to be careful when facing Coven.

Coven also explained to them that he was from the same Muggle family. This way, the other two relaxed and became enthusiastic.

However, Coven immediately regretted it because he was not interested in the topics the two of them talked about. Dana and Celter did not even preview their textbooks before school started. This made Coven not know what to say to them even if he wanted to change the topic.

Silently sighing, Coven could only accept his fate...

....

The night passed peacefully.

The next day was Friday, and then there were two more days on weekends, so the freshmen had three days to familiarize themselves with the academy.

In these three days, Coven stepped on all the places he could go in the entire castle. Finally, he sighed again and regretted choosing Gryffindor. Because it was really inconvenient to go up and down from the eighth floor. The moving stairs looked magical, but it was the biggest obstacle to going up and down.

In these three days, Coven could only see Penelope in the auditorium when they were eating.

But since they had just entered the school, so it was not good for Coven and Penelope to visit each other. After the meal, Coven and Penelope had their own small circle to date. Therefore, the two of them didn't say a few words in total during these three days. They just briefly introduced to each other what the college lounge was like...

...

A weekend passed in the blink of an eye, and the first magic class would be officially held tomorrow.

In the evening, while the two roommates were chatting with the students in the public rest room, Coven returned to the dormitory alone, opened the course scroll he got after the branch and looked at it.

Hogwarts had five days of classes a week, with two classes in the morning and two classes in the afternoon.

On a Friday, other than the Broom Flight classes on Thursday and the Astronomy classes on Wednesday night, most of the other lessons required two classes.

Among them, the Defense Against The Dark Arts and Potion classes were considered big classes, and two consecutive classes were given.

Herbology was a special case. It got three classes a week.

After memorizing it, Coven pasted the curriculum on the bookshelf beside the bed, then lay back on the bed and sighed.

"Boring..." Coven whispered in Chinese, "Those little kids only know how to play chess, gossip, and play childish card games all day long..."

"The library is also closed at this point..." Sighing again, Coven continued to mutter, "Why did I choose Gryffindor... Although it is a bit troublesome for Ravenclaw to enter the lounge, Penelope said that the lounge of their academy is a small library..."

"How good would it be for me to choose Ravenclaw for the first time? I don't have to be as bored as I am now. At least I have books to read..."

Speaking of this, Coven turned to look at the bookshelf beside him.

In the first grade textbooks on the bookshelf, the defense of black magic, primary magic spell, and transformation spell that needed to be used had already been read and mastered.

Coven did not recite the history of magic, but he only knew a little about Potionology and did not study it in detail.

There was no other choice, and he could not go down to the public lounge to play with the group of little children.

Helplessly, Coven could only use the 'Flying Curse' to summon the Potionology textbook, sat up, and looked at it...
