Rise of the Legendary Emperor

Chapter 267: The Black Potion

Chapter 267: The Black Potion

Looking at that they had finally left the wooden pole formation, Knight sighed in relief. He walked forward and slightly paused, he had found that quite a number of Golems were neatly lined up in this drilling field. From the looks of it, their numbers exceeded the hundreds. Each Golem was the size of a fully grown Orc with seven to eight feet tall.

"Aren't they supposed to do something?" Lia craned her neck to look at them before she said doubtfully.

While Knight was looking at the drilling field, Lia's curiosity got the better of her as she started to poke the Golems. After poking a few Golems, she frowned as a disappointed look emerged on her face

"They are useless?"

"Useless? Their individual battle power is equal to a Peak Master"

However, just as she finished poking the Golems and was about to enter the drilling field, she heard Knight's voice.

Her body immediately froze, before her scalp suddenly turned numb. A Peak Master Golem? And there were even over a hundred of them?

"Oh my god, Ah!"

Her eyes widened as they were about to pop outside as she screamed and immediately ran away from the Golems and took cover behind Knight like a scared puppy.

Over a hundred Golems with strengths comparable to a Peak Master, If all of them were to rush over, even a few Peak Greatmasters would be forced to temporarily flee.

Thus, when Lia heard the Knight's words, she immediately showed signs of trying to escape. Although she was at the Low Master level and knew some powerful spells, she didn't think that she could defeat a single Golem by herself. With her current strength, it might be difficult for her to defeat a Peak Master, but, to defeat over a hundred...that would only happen in her dreams.

"What are you afraid of? Though these Golems have a strength comparable to a Peak Master, they are all broken" While Lia was being anxious, he could not help but chuckle at her antics.

"Broken products?" Lia was taken aback, only then did she take a closer look at these Golems. Sure enough, she found that there was not even the slightest bit of Life Energy trace in their bodies. They did not move at all and seemed like metal pillars.

"You're right, the runes inside these Golems have already faded, though they look terrifying, they are actually just a bunch of metaly statues"

Only now, Lia heaved a sigh of relief and took a step back to put some space between her and him.

But even though the runes in the Golems had faded and they seemed useless, he wasn't going to leave them here considering his space ring could simply contain them all.

"Let's take them with us"

Lia momentarily shocked while he waved his hand as a white bright light appeared from his ring and enveloped all the Golems standing in the hall before it disappeared along with all the Golems.

"Young Master, you? How?"

She stuttered and looked at him in shock

"You'll know when the time comes"

He wasn't going to share the fact that their space ring could contain an infinite number of lifeless things inside them. Even in the Divine continent, only a handful of people had space rings like Don's and Knight's and the shocking fact was, both of them stole a box of space rings from a powerful cultivator's tomb.

She was still shocked at seeing he took all the Golems into his space ring as she slowly walked into the drilling field. She gripped onto the edge of Knight's sleeve while she walked further and further into the fields.

There was no other sound in this quiet field, only their soft footsteps sounded out, while they walked through the numerous Golem parts. As Lia gazed at the ice-cold metal limbs around him, she felt a little dread in her heart. If these metal lumps suddenly came to life, it would truly be a tragedy for her.

Fortunately, the most tragic scenario did not occur. Although the Golems were dangerous if they came to life, she knew that the youth beside her is even more freaky and powerful.

After walking for a few moments, they arrived at the other end of the field, and finally, Lia let out a soft sigh of relief. He lifted his head and looked forward, as a vigorous medicine smell drifted towards him.

What appeared before Knight and Lia was a lake with water so clear that they could see the bottom. At the center of the lake, was a tiny pond that was built using a shiny greyish stone. Quite a few colorful liquids were bubbling within the tiny pond and from the looks of it, they seemed high-quality potions.

Upon seeing this scene, a surprising look surfaced in his eyes. He swept forward to the edge of the pond while his eyes scanned the area, before focusing on a black color potion inside the medicine pond. That potion looked very much like a coiled little snake, and gave out an extremely potent medicinal vibe, resulting in a layer of thick Life Energy covering the surrounding water. While looking at the black potion, he gently touched the black potion and moved his finger towards his mouth before he received a slap in the wrist from Lia.

"Young Master! don't lick it, it might be poisonous, be careful!"

"Jeez, relax, you sound like an old woman"

"Humph"

Her face slightly reddened as she pouted after she heard him calling her 'old woman'

"So do you know what this is?"

"I have no idea, Young Master but it seems like a potent potion,"

He was not surprised by her answer considering she was not an Alchemist like Kayako. But he didn't need to know about its details because he already chose to take all of it into his space ring.

A sliver of Knight's Battle Energy reached out and gently scooped off the potion. After which, it was very carefully placed into a jade bottle which they used in situations like this in the Divine Continent.

After obtaining the black potion, he inspected the other potions. The grades of the potions within this medicine pond were not low. Surprisingly, there seemed to be some remaining traces of extremely concentrated Life Energy energy at the center of the medicine pond, however, after discovering the stem which had been cut, it was clear that it had already been taken away by someone.

Seeing that the most high-grade potion had already been taken, he could only helplessly shake his head. This was likely done by Sterling and the rest. A potion that made them stop and collect it was definitely no ordinary item. Fortunately, they left the black potion and some others.

"Not bad."

Knight consoled himself in his heart before taking action, collecting every single drop of the potions inside the pond no matter what they were. Thus, a short few minutes later, the originally lush medicine pond had become rather empty. Only the faintly green pond water seemed to emit a faint medicine fragrance.

"Young Master, aren't you being too, I don't know, greedy?"

She became more and more familiar with him as time went by, so after looking at him taking all the potions in the pond with a greedy look in his eyes, she couldn't help but ask, besides she remembered that he took all those pure Life Energy pills without leaving a single pill behind.

If the previous cultivators who came here before them were greedy like him, she knew that there wouldn't be a single drop for him to take.

"You can't be too greedy, hehe"

One could not blame him for being greedy, after all, he did not have the Great houses and sects to provide him the vast resources that Sterling, Richard, and the others had. He completely depended on himself to increase his and Everlight's power, and though the rest would not give a second look to these potions, for Knight, they were still rather precious.

"Phew"

After collecting the last drop of the potions, he let out a short sigh. He lifted his head and looked at the stone door which had already been shattered, he could sense that perhaps Sterling and the rest were already not that far ahead. This place was after all considered as the inner part of the old tomb.

"Only if I knew the exact location of the Life shard!"

Knight's gaze slightly flickered, but he did not immediately leave. Since he didn't know the location of the Life Shard, he couldn't leave a single stone unturned, and just as he was scanning the place, he noticed Lia looking at the pond and poking at its surface like she was pushing a button.

"Wait a moment!"

When he was about to ask her, Lia stepped back a few steps as her gaze was not pointed towards the front, but instead staring at the empty medicine pond.

"What is it?" he was also taken aback by her actions. He looked at the green medicine pond, but did not discover anything, hence, he was puzzled as he asked.

"Young Master! there seems to be something underneath this medicine pond." Lia looked at the medicine pond as she waved her hands and cast a spell.

"Torrent"

The pond water started to swirl as if streams of water were being sucked out.

As the pond water in the medicine pond was being sucked out, the bottom of the pond was revealed, and Knight found that there was actually a copper head within the ooze at the bottom of the pond and there it was, a Golem.
