Chapter 246 The Board Meeting II
A bewildered expression appeared on the faces of the directors in the room after Eleanor spoke.
They were not expecting the force backing the government to be the Queen's family.
"H-How can this be possible."
"The Queens and the government had always been on bad terms for several years, how can they be a unification between the both of them, after years of going after one another."
Eleanor nodded her head after that response.
It was indeed true that the government and the Queens never, for once, got along, however, the information was also valid that both forces were going together.
"You're right about the hatred which Queens and the government have for one another, but is it as much as both of them dread the heroes league?" Eleanor asked.
As though in sync with one another, the seven directors simultaneously shook their heads.
While it was indeed true that the Queens and the government hated one another, the hate was nowhere near their hatred for the heroes league.
Even though the government simply to be in cooperation with the heroes league in public, there exists a severe conflict between the both of them internally.
"Eleanor, if the Queens and the government are uniting to take down the heroes league, they should be a way that we can benefit from this," Layla suddenly spoke.
A smile soon formed on Eleanor's face.
Knowing the sort of person Eleanor was, there was no way she would bring this up without wanting to take advantage of this situation.
"When an opportunity this good presents itself before us, it would only be crazy if we do not take full advantage of it,"Eleanor said.
There was an elated look on the faces of some directors as they heard Eleanor. Without a shred of doubt, this conflict between the government and the heroes league was going to benefit them greatly.
A few seconds later, and Eleanor began to tell the directors the plans and the roles they would play in them.
Every word that she spoke was filled with wisdom and decisiveness and if the directors, and the others in the academy were deemed the brawn of most of the operations in the school, with no doubt, Eleanor was the brains behind them.
The woman was extremely frightened that while others seemed to think one step or two steps ahead, she was twenty steps in front of them.
"This is brilliant, Eleanor."
"Yes."
"I simply can't think of a reason why this plan won't fall through. Only by achieving the first plans, we can be said to be close to making the Queens and the government our underlying."
The directors were not newbies to plotting, and even they had to accept that they were still far from attaining what Eleanor was capable of.
Kai, who was silent the entire time, suddenly, shook his head.
His action was quick to be noticed by the others in the meeting room, and as they turned towards him, one of them asked.
"What is it, Kai?" Iris asked.
"Do you think the plans won't fall through," She added.
If there was someone's opinion that mattered in the academy after Eleanor, then it was Kai. The director of the elite division, and the man considered to be one of the very strongest metahumans in the entire world.
Upon Iris's question, Kai glanced at her, and the others before returning his gaze to Eleanor.
"The plan will fall through, but the risk involved is simply too great," Kai said. "
The expression on the director's face and Eleanor suggested that they wanted him to expatiate what he had just said, and briefly, after he spoke, his voice rang out again.
"In summary of the plan, we are to deliver the final blow to whoever is at its weakest. The three forces are people we have been looking to exterminate all this while, and if the opportunity to do so arrives, it's ideal we use it to our advantage.
However, look at it this way, what if this is a plot to draw us out? We have always preferred to move in the dark, but when a chance this brilliant arrives, we are willing to not let it go.
What if this is a plan to take us out of our hiding? I believe just as much as we hate those three, they also hate us as well. And considering the problems we've caused for them this past few months, they might be willing to stage a conflict to bring us out, then attack together." Kai said.
The directors sunk into thought after Kai spoke. It was just as Eleanor's plan made sense to them, Kai's idea of it also made a lot of sense.
If indeed this was a plan to bring them out, then it was going to be extremely dire for them.
"What do you suggest we do?"
Upon hearing that question, Kai turned towards Eleanor. "Whether it's staged or not, we caused a rift between the government and the heroes league."
Eleanor, who had her hands, folded across her chest after Kai began talking, chuckled. She pressed a button on the remote in front of her, and the screen in the room changed.
"Y-You…"
"I'm not so foolish to not think the government, heroes league and the Queens might be plotting against us," Eleanor said, ignoring the shocked looks on the director, and stared at Kai.
A nod came from Kai as he looked at the screen. His mouth opened slightly and he said.
"You want to use Ultraman to drive a wedge between the government and the heroes league. If this works, the heroes league would do anything to erase the government from the world.
"Not bad."
"And the timing of it as well, I must say, Eleanor, I'm impressed." Said Vermont as he looked at the screen.
The truth was because of the power possessed by ultra man, the strongest metahuman in the world, he wasn't just a member of the heroes league, he also served the government in secret.
To keep the world within their grasp, even if it's a little, the government made sure that they had command over Ultraman just as the Heroes League had. This way, they would have a say in the affairs of the world.
"If there's one thing that's capable of making the heroes league go nut is if the person in the government's care is harmed," Eleanor said.
"You mean Ultra man's daughter,"
"Yes," Eleanor replied.
Wyatt frowned a second after. "That girl has two SS-Rank bodyguards protecting her openly, and other metahumans in the shadow."
"The protection she has is on par with that of the White House, it would be very difficult to get to her unless we go all out," He added.
Responding to Wyatt, Nicholas shook his head.
"That's won't be necessary. There's a secret meeting coming forth, and during that period the protection around that girl can be said to be at its weakest." Nicholas said.
"And that's when we make a move." With a smile on her face, Eleanor's voice rang out.
