Chapter 89: Kill The Pest [2]
Chapter 89: Kill The Pest [2]
Unaware of their current situation the Guild leader along with his right hand were discussing the failure of their hunt. Other Guilds would've given up after receiving a report of their Fifth failure, yet they kept on searching for the wielder of the Black sword. Not knowing that their greed would be their downfall as a player along with a few who aid his journey were tearing down their numbers
[Guild Leader: Razor Zenova
Standing: Alpha
Race: Beast, Hyena clan
Traits: Greedy, Unforgiving, Murderous
Class: Brawler
Weaponry: Gauntlets]
A man that was eight feet tall accompanied by a bunch of trinkets around his body that was granting him an increase in stats even with a simple glimpse anyone can tell that he mostly relies on his stats. While a man that was 5, 7 feet tall that wasn't carrying anything in his body had a mysterious air dwelling inside of his body, they were different from the rest. Yet their personalities remained to be unfair they would hunt their prey in an overwhelming number and use any means to acquire victory
"Sieg why haven't the six troops that we deployed haven't brought even a clue about the Owner's whereabouts?" Razor was seething with rage after he received the news about their Fifth failure that was close to achieving the death of the Owner along with retrieving his sword
[Vice Guild Leader: Siegfried Dross
Standing: Right hand
Race: Human, Insider
Traits: Strategic, Mysterious, Silent
Class: Summoner
Weaponry: Whip]
"I told you countless times if you have a problem with the results then might I suggest that you accompany our troops? Not only will you have a better chance of getting what you want having the Guild Leader with the members will boost their morale. If you want an answer then I already have a hypothesis the Owner has fled to the other Districts and left the Western side or he resides in a place where Detection skills are ineffective. Or it could be both who knows of his whereabouts but aren't you taking this lightly?" Siegfried hinted at the possibility that they attracted a monster by targeting a player that can grow if they allowed him to live
"Aren't you a little paranoid? Even if that player grew up to become a monster, our troops along with our Guild have already grown too much for him to take his revenge against us. Ever since you've heard the reports of a bug being found amongst our own made you a little jumpy. Don't forget who we are The Raging Hyena's not only known for its terrible reputation were also known for our large number that's comparable with the top Guild in The World Of Trials," Razor reassured him with their advantage against a single player he wasn't able to brush off his concerns which leads him to send reinforcement to guard the entrance of their base
Without any word reaching the two of them after Morris hides the player's corpses after they were dealt with, even with the fact that the Guild he was fighting wasn't in his novel. He acknowledges their feat of having a ton of members that were on their way to his post, holding a shovel that he used to bury the ones he slaughtered he encountered his enemy at the worst possible time. He was burying his newly killed target while the rest were bewildered by his actions
[Morris, another wave of players just arrived]
"Hello There, can you give me a few seconds im not finished with your ally here, don't worry you'll get your turn look there's a line that you'll have to wait on," Morris pointed at the trees where he hanged the corpses that he poured a liquid that made them glow at the dark accompanied by a different variety of colors. The black and withered tree looked beautiful from afar but from a closer perspective it was only a gruesome sight of their ally's humiliating defeat
Furious they were they attacked him without any concerns about their surroundings were a little peculiar to a few that remember the area having lesser trees compared to the other routes. Their bruiser tried to ram its shield to his location but was dodged when Morris leaped into the air that making him vulnerable to attacks that would come from their Mages or Archer, the number of arrows along with the spells fired at his location was too much for him to counter. Leaving him with no choice but to use the trees as his footing launching him from one tree to another to reach his first target that was the Archer
[System: You're injecting a ton of Mana within the shovel it's Power and Durability have been temporarily increased]
He swings the shovel every time he leaped from a tree building it's the momentum that he gained to be released at the Archer, that perfectly severs its head from its body. He takes a seat on a nearby wood after he killed the Mage by throwing the shovel that impaled him into a nearby tree, they tried to call for help yet their Exclusive chat box won't work. They were stuck with an agile player that killed two of their allies in a matter of seconds, the strangest part is that he stopped once he killed their range attackers
*Yawn*
"That was a great way to start our meeting, hello my name is Christoper Morris if you finally realized my strength I guess that you tried to reach for help in your chat box? You see im here in regards to my child, I heard that you were bullying him so why not stop by and teach you guys a lesson or two? Do note that this will be your resting place as I don't have any reason why I should spare your lives," Morris disappeared from their view, along with the arrival of a Blinding mist that engulfed the entirety of the area. They were scattered throughout the area in search of the exit only to see a ton of trees that blocked their way making them think they were far from the path they took
[They're finally making their move]
Slowly they realized that their area was getting thinner after a certain time had passed the trees that were far from their location seemed to have moved. Making them wary of their surroundings, it felt like it was alive until one of their own was dumb enough to attack the trees, that meet his end. The trees would gather around the corpse until they grew a pair of arms along with a face that was accompanied by a mouth, the scenery they saw was frightening the trees tore apart the corpse sharing it with the others. Eating their ally's body parts while it made a crunching noise that broke his bones
Morris was sitting on top of a tree while he enjoys his time reading a new book that had taken his interest, the Guild-affiliated players were screaming their lungs after they saw the horrors he bestowed upon them. A nightmare for the players and a gift for Morris he can laze around while the trees would do his job without him lifting a single finger
[Looks like they finally angered the trees, can't you even do something more productive than reading a new book? I can't understand how you find joy in reading for me reading is but an act to gain new knowledge of the world]
Morris ignored his Deity and continued with his hobby, he didn't want to strain his body seeing that he hasn't taken a nap. Which made him rely on one of the Options that were inside of his staff an Option that created the hell that the players were currently experiencing at the bottom of Morris's location
'Dark fellin oak, their known to be a dark tree that resides in the Dark Forest, yet no one knew that it was but a corpse. The tree's origin came from a monster called the Fellinarus a tree-type monster that's an omnivore, it will eat anything from fruits, vegetables, and meat as long as it met its criteria. Mana for it to remain in The World Of Trials it would have to eat a chunk of Mana that would satisfy its need. Once they die their bodies would root themselves to the ground, and their hands would turn into a branch, Dark fellin oak is none other than a monster corpse. They'll grow as long they kept consuming Mana and they can use the stored Mana inside their body to regenerate their bodies, truly a monster that belongs to the Dark Forest,'
The Fellinarus marched to the players, their arms were armed with a sharp and pointy end that they used to pierce through their enemies, panic they were the players that were desperate to escape charges at the Fellinarus for the kill. Even with his superior stat line, he wasn't able to continually swing his sword when his opponent was regenerating their wounds and if one were to fall they'll shield them for it to heal. In the end, no one was left to save them, the reason why Morris killed the Mage and the Archer a while back was to make sure that he leaves the only players that doesn't have any sort of skill or range to deal with his lackey
Without any hopes of escape, they met their end by getting their bodies impaled to the Fellinarus and the unlucky ones had their limbs ripped out while they were still breathing. The area was filled with blood and screams of the victims of the Fellinarus, whilst they consumed their bodily fluids they grew bigger than before. And once more they moved to their assigned post awaiting their next meal to come, disguising themselves in a harmless black tree that was scattered around Morris's post
[System: You've leveled up from 26 to 27]

"Cool now off to the next page," The mist dispersed and he continues to read his book while he wait for his next victims to come to his post
