Returning From The Magic World

Chapter 91 Auction, Part 5

She placed the book again on the table then sat beside it and crossed her legs so that the slit of her dress opened, revealing her long, shapely legs in full.

A sight like that is a little disturbing, especially if you can only see but not touch.

"For the price, there's no need to worry too much." Mia finally opened her mouth again. "Let's start with the price, 1.5 Million Euros, each increment must be above 100K!"

"1,6!"

"1,9!"

"2,3!"

"2,5!"

In no time, the price increased high enough that those who weren't interested looked at each other. This is practically the highest price until now. And that's definitely not the end. Some who took part in the online auction also started to raise their prices.

"2,7!"

"2,9!"

"It's really expensive," said Amanda. Although she had just boasted that 3 or 4 million would be fine, such a high price still made her want to discuss.

"Boss, do you know how to read it?" Rose asked Arthur.

"No, but there is a spell that allows me to read letters I can't," Arthur answered.

"What if it's just a normal topic, like a love poem for example?"

"It's not that simple!" Arthur smiled without saying more.

The letters were complex, perhaps people could still imitate, but there were some details that no mortal hand would be able to reproduce. It was precisely because of those things that he was attracted.

Hearing Arthur's confirmation, Amanda finally raised her hand.

"3.5 million," she said softly so that the hall became silent though not for long.

On the screen, the number 4 million suddenly appeared.

Amanda rolled her eyes and then said, "5 million!"

"Oh my god, this is too high," said some of the rich women there. They stared at Amanda in amazement.

If anyone looks the most pleased, it's naturally Mia. Even when she tried to calm down, her lips still curved up. She began to wonder what the commission she got from the sale of the ancient book would be used for.

As for Arthur, he started to knit his brows. Of course, he also felt uncomfortable spending too much on a woman's money.

The screen didn't change anymore after Amanda raised the price to 5 million. However, one of the men there suddenly opened his mouth. Arthur who didn't want the price to be higher finally snapped his finger at the man.

A beam of light flashed from the finger, hitting his neck, causing him to cough so hard he couldn't speak.

His bodyguards began to panic and check his condition.

People stared at him, wondering what had happened to him — did he want to bid or was he shocked by the price?

Mia waited for him to recover, but unfortunately, even after a few minutes, he was still coughing so his bodyguards carried him out of the hall.

Amanda glanced at Arthur, smiling slightly when she knew it was his doing. She was happy that he helped her. She then said, "Mrs. Mia, if there's no more bidding, please strike the gavel immediately, it's not fair if other people have the chance to think too long."

Mia rolled her eyes as she looked at her before looking at the others.

"Does anyone still want to bid?" She asked.

"Once, twice..." She paused to wait again.

Fortunately, there was really no one to bid on anymore so she sighed.

Pa!

She hit the auction gavel.

"This book was sold to Mrs. Amanda," she said, taking a deep breath, looking sorry she couldn't get more.

"Aron, what do you think of the two gold papers?" Saul asked Aron.

The latter shook his head. "It must be unique, but I have no knowledge in that area. However, as long as we defeat that guy, Arthur, we will get our hands on the book. I'm sure the higher-ups are happy with that."

"Something worth five million euros I hope the higher ups give us a bonus." Saul laughed softly, looking impatient with the end of the auction so he could beat Arthur as quickly as possible.

The book was then handed over to Amanda who paid smoothly.

She was even given the highest VIP card so that the next one, she could enter the auction without an invitation and sit in the VIP seat.

"Here it is, dear!" Amanda immediately handed the book to Arthur after she received it, causing everyone to stare at Arthur with jealousy.

"Thank you," Arthur replied to Amanda with a faint smile that made her a little embarrassed.

Rose who saw that pursed her lips, thinking that it would not be easy to take Amanda's position.

Then, Arthur opened the book, going straight to the page where the two gold papers were. The other page, he really didn't care, it was just the Ancient Bible. Not to mention that she was a Magus, even if he wasn't, whether it was him, his aunt, or Carla, had no connection to any religion.

When he saw the two gold papers, he narrowed his eyes, scanning each letter up and down while stroking them gently.

There was no doubt that they were made of gold, which was mixed with some special materials to increase their durability.

After a few moments of caressing them, he closed his eyes, trying to connect with them.

There was nothing he found, but when he opened his eyes, he couldn't help but say, "interesting!"

Of course, unlike the skull's mouth, which was still full of aura, the two papers had no aura at all. However, that doesn't mean that their uniqueness is lacking.

In fact, they are far more unique in that their creator actually erased any trace of his own completely.

Arthur began to wonder what exactly was written. He was also curious about the other papers.

"Rose!" He then called Rose.

"I want you to gather other paper information," he tells her.

Knowing that he wanted to gather them, Rose nodded. She replied, "please give me one day!"

The auction continues with another urn, and it is from a more ancient era.

However, it was still just an ordinary item. Arthur kept waiting for the next item, he wanted to see if there was still anything interesting.

Unfortunately, until the end of the auction, the blue sword and gold papers were the only items that could be said to be spiritually related.
