Chapter 62 Collapse
"It's a good game," said Arthur. In contrast to Rose, his eyes were still calm.
An unarmed fight against a group of mortals is not a challenge for him. These people may be skilled, but their strength is weak. For a magus like him, all one needed to watch out for were their weapons.
Whoosh!
Robin was the first to move, he lunged at Arthur, jumping over the sofa in front of him.
Before moving, Arthur still had time to talk to Amanda. "Don't move from here!"
Right after that, he jumped while still in a sitting position and his jump was quite surprising, over Robin's head.
"You?" Robin was stunned while Arthur responded by swinging his leg in his face.
It landed squarely on his cheek, which immediately distorted before being pushed forcefully onto the floor.
BANG!
His face hit the floor hard to the point it cracked, a sight that quite shocked the people on top of the stairs as they saw everything clearly.
Robin didn't scream or anything, but her eyes opened wide from the shock she felt more than the pain.
"As expected, you know how to fight." Rose finally moved. She climbed onto the couch she was sitting on then sent her long foot towards Arthur's chest.
Since Arthur was in the air, he would be practically unable to dodge, only able to parry the kick.
However, he didn't even try to fend it off, only allowing Rose's foot to hit his chest.
"Mmm!" Rose was the one who was surprised because when her foot hit Arthur's chest, Arthur was not pushed at all. Instead she felt like she was kicking a steel wall, the force of the resulting rebound caused her foot to hurt so she couldn't land properly.
"Too bad, your physique is quite weak, let me show you what good physical strength looks like." Arthur sent one of the soles of his feet wearing black boots into Rose's chest as a countermeasure.
At first, the woman was still quite calm, but as Arthur's foot got closer to hers, she suddenly felt a chill down her back, like she was being attacked by a wild beast.
"Shit!" Hmshe quickly moved her hands to block Arthur's foot only to fail as both hands were immediately pushed back to the sides.
BANG!
It ended up landing right on top of her breasts, causing her to get dizzy instantly as she felt like her heart was being shaken.
Of course, the biggest effect was the force of the foot's push that threw her body into the air.
"Ahhh..." She screamed until her body landed.
"Rose, what happened?" Hunter who was elsewhere seemed to lose his composure when he heard his little sister's screams.
As for Ryan who still didn't move, he stared at the men above and shouted, "quickly, beat him up!"
They were still in a state of shock because they didn't expect Arthur to be able to defeat Robin and Rose in such a short amount of time. Hearing Ryan's call, they immediately moved, some immediately jumped from the second floor, and of course, they did it while shout, an action that was clearly intended to intimidate Arthur.
"Hmm..." Arthur smiled coldly as he looked at them.
"A group of monkeys, well suited to guard my things," he said, increasing their anger.
"Kid, eat this!" Ryan moved, still holding his sniper rifle and he swung it at Arthur's head.
"Stupid!" Arthur countered by hitting the sniper. Surprisingly enough, it snaps in half.
"You?" Ryan stopped moving, his eyes wide, looking almost out of his sockets.
The sniper was undoubtedly made of high-end materials, something that could withstand extreme heat. How could one punch break him, wouldn't that mean he could easily break his bones.
On the other hand, Arthur said, "time to end it!"
He closed his eyes and when he opened them the house was shaking as if there was an earthquake.
"What?" Everyone in the house panicked, including Amanda, she looked up and found the ceiling of the house was cracked.
The vibrations get stronger with time. The jars fell, breaking into small pieces. The pillar supporting the ladder suddenly collapsed, causing the ladder to collapse as well.
"No, get out quickly, this house will collapse," said Ryan.
"Hey, what happened?" Hunter finally fell into a panic. Of course, no one answered.
Everyone frantically ran outside except for Arthur and Amanda. The latter had turned deathly pale, but forcibly held herself there.
BANG!
Eventually, the house collapses, causing Amanda to scream as the ceiling above is about to fall on her head.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, Arthur appeared beside her, he hugged her waist before jumping up.
His body was enveloped in spiritual energy and his jumping speed became extremely fast. The moment he met the ceiling, it suddenly shattered, creating a hole in the middle.
"Ohhh, cough! Ouch!" Rose and the others arrived at the yard with their bodies covered in dust because the house dust was flying at them.
After brushing the dust off their faces, they saw the house behind them. It was now a pile of rubble, like a small hill, impossible to dismantle without construction equipment.
"How could it be?" Rose took a deep breath. She looked at the other houses and found they were okay, meaning there had been no earthquake.
"Look there!" Ryan suddenly pointed at the top of the ruins. When the people looked there they saw Arthur who was hugging Amanda's waist standing there without a bit of dust on his body.
"H-he's not human," said one of the mercenaries.
The others immediately thought the same after hearing his words. After all, they were people who had visited various places, so they knew many unknown things.
Meanwhile, people in the village started coming to take a look. The sound of the house collapsing was too loud, reverberating throughout the village and the resulting tremors could be felt by all of them.
Seeing that what had collapsed was actually the home of the much feared mercenary group, they couldn't help but be confused.
"What did they do? Did they set off a bomb in their own house?" they wonder.
"Probably not, there are no signs of the rest of the bomb exploding," said another.
"By the way, who are they?" Some people eventually find Arthur and Amanda.
"Go!" Suddenly Rose shouted into the crowd and she pulled out a pistol hidden in her pants.
BANG!
She shot it in the air and it was enough to scare the crowd away.
It's a pretty embarrassing condition, no one likes to be seen, plus, it's also something that needs to be hidden.
