Chapter 27 Erick
Vrom! Vrom!
The sound of car exhausts echoed loudly outside the building, louder than Amanda's Lamborghini exhaust. The people the car passed probably had the urge to slap the driver.
Arthur saw a modified old BMW enter the courtyard of the building, stopping right beside the Lamborghini.
Each of the doors opened, getting out of the driver's seat was a man in gold necklaces, wearing sunglasses. Arthur recognized him immediately the moment he saw him. He is Henry. Arthur didn't know how he suddenly got here.
As for the one who got off the passenger seat, was a bald man and had a tattoo on his head. He had a large body and wrists like the ankles of most people.
Due to his presence, the two security guards looked scared and doubtful.
Luckily, Amanda immediately stood up, took a step out of the building.
The presence of Arthur behind her surprised Henry quite a bit because last night they had a brief conversation.
He laughed and said "Arthur, I didn't expect to see you here, what are you looking for?"
"Help her tame some wild tigers," Arthur answered honestly.
Amanda didn't expect that he would be so honest. Of course, Henry and the bald man were more surprised. The first one laughed, before he could say anything the bald man, Johnny, spoke first. "Brat, where did you learn to brag? Even I don't dare say that."
"From my invincible power," replied Arthur.
It was an answer that made the man's mouth cover instantly.
Of course, he opened it again. However, before he could speak again, Arthur took a step, arriving in front of him. With a quick movement, he swung his leg up, towards his bald head.
BANG!
It was as if it had been struck by a hammer, shaking violently before being pushed down by that leg. And finally, it hit the ground which luckily was full of grass.
Amanda made her mouth shut while Herny subconsciously took a step back, his eyes widening as he looked at Arthur.
"Let's go!" Arthur said to Amanda, waking her up from the shock.
"Y-you're a martial artist?" she asked, taking steps to follow him.
Maybe she thought his moves were Chinese Kung Fu, Arthur chose not to answer.
Meanwhile, Johnny who was lying down tried to sit up, shaking his head as if to clear the stars that filled his eyes. He still looked like he wasn't sure what had just happened.
When he wanted to stand up, it was as if his body was being blown by the wind, almost as if it was about to float up.
"Bastard!" He cursed as soon as he recovered.
His eyes bulged as he looked at Arthur, he looked like he wanted to lunge at him, but Arthur's gaze instantly made him take a step back.
"Believe me, I can blow your head off with my punch," said Arthur. He purposely took this action because he was going to the tiger enclosure so he needed to show that he wasn't just a small cat.
___
"Arthur, it turns out that you are very strong, no wonder you are full of courage, why have I never heard of this?" said Amanda while driving her car. Now, she has the spirit, like wanting to explore Arthur further.
"What, charmed now?" Arthur asked back, causing Amanda to roll her eyes.
Whoosh!
Henry's old BMW was speeding past Amanda's car, quite recklessly, showing that the driver was in a bad mood.
Before he was in shock, after recovering, he might start hating Arthur given his personality.
Amanda didn't want to be left behind, so she increased the speed of her car.
They went to the area where the port was. About one kilometer from the port, there is a military port which is sadly empty even though it is actually much bigger, probably a remnant of the second world war.
Many immigrants gathered here, relaxing while looking at the sea.
Henry's old BMW pulls into the military port, passing immigrants relaxing.
Arthur watched their expressions as they saw the car and Amanda's Lamborghini. Their reactions were surprisingly flat, as if they had seen cars go by many times.
Only, Arthur still saw nothing ahead except a large wall made of old stacking containers. He guessed his place was behind that wall.
Henry drove his car around the wall. Once past it, Arthur finally saw a row of cars parked in an irregular manner even though most of them were luxury cars.
Right on that side of the harbour, there was a ship that was moored. It was about 50 meters long and about 20 meters high.
"So they use a ship," said Arthur.
"Yeah, that's why they only stop at cities connected to the sea or big rivers. Sometimes they transfer their trade to smaller ships." Amanda explained while parking her car.
The two of them then got out of the car, attracting the attention of the people who had just arrived. Some clearly recognized Amanda.
Meanwhile, Henry and Johnny came up to them again, the latter glancing at Arthur every now and then while the former pretended not to have seen him.
Friendly enough, Henry said, "Please come with us, Mrs. Amanda, boss Erick is waiting!"
Arthur nodded to Amanda and they immediately headed towards the ship.
The waves in the sea were a little bigger than normal, so the ship rocked constantly. Luckily, the bridge connecting the harbor and the ships had walls on either side.
"Ahh, Amanda, you seem to be getting prettier." A friendly voice that seemed excited echoed from within the ship.
It came from a man the same age as Amanda. He has a neat appearance where his hair is combed to the side, wears a brown suit plus a gray tie, and holds a wooden cane. Five black men followed behind him, they were tall and cold-eyed, even Johnny looked weak compared to each of them.
Amanda's lips twitched as she looked at him, looking displeased.
"Erick, I don't want to mince words, take us to see your tigers," Amanda replied.
That she used the word us made Erick look at Arthur who nonchalantly followed beside Amanda. His eyes narrowed for a moment and Arthur could feel the displeasure from them.
