Returning From The Magic World

Chapter 104 Hidden Danger

"It's about my business" Arthur replied before starting to explain the problem.

Isabel already knew about the agarwood branch, she held her charming chin after hearing his words. She said, "well, later, you bring one as a sample. I'll show it to the Minister of the Environment, I don't think the old lady will mind if it's as you say."

"Okay, I'll make it tonight!" Arthur nodded.

"Right, what were you doing on that island? I heard something happened there?" Isabel asked.

The incident that happened last night did not really make a scene in the media, it was only seen as a small battle between the mafia in which several people were shot dead.

This was naturally because Hunter and the others had cleared the area plus some people just didn't want it to be fully exposed.

However, Isabel probably got information from several people, so she knew more.

Arthur wondered what he needed to tell her about this. Either tell her or deny it.

After a moment of thought, he thought maybe he should tell her some things because in the end, she too could be involved because the Mossad definitely didn't stop even though they were probably in a state of deep shock right now.

"Aunt!" Arthur stood up and called out to her while signaling for her to follow him.

He would talk about this in the backyard showing her the thing he stole.

Seeing his movement, Isabel quickly stood up. However, just as Carla wanted to follow, she said to her. "Wait here!"

The woman guessed that Arthur wasn't planning on telling Carla, so she said so.

Her mother's orders naturally made Carla take no steps to follow them. She pursed her lips and pouted slightly before plopping herself down on the sofa.

___

"So the incident was really because of you?" Isabel asked as they reached the backyard.

"I heard it involved the Mossad."

"I stole something from them," Arthur replied, causing the woman's eyes to widen for a moment.

She took a deep breath, and maybe because she was worried, so she looked a little angry. She said, "I asked you not to conflict with the mafia there, but look, you chose a stronger enemy instead."

Arthur chuckled, he replied "I didn't intend to do this originally, but they have something too useful for our magic training. You must have noticed it, try to sense the spiritual energy here now."

Isabel knitted her brows at that. She pointed her hand in the air and was immediately startled.

"It's almost five times as dense, I barely noticed," she said.

"What happened?" She couldn't help but ask.

Arthur looked back briefly, making sure that no one was peeking before flicking his hand downwards.

Rumble!

The ground in front of him opened up, revealing the same hole as before.

Isabel's eyes stared at the hole. When she saw half of the skull's mouth, she narrowed her eyes.

"What is this thing?" she asked.

Arthur didn't leave the hole open for too long, he closed it again after his aunt saw enough clearly.

"It's the skull of a very powerful magus," he answered without elaborating.

Isabel stared at Arthur's face and sighed again.

"It looks like our life will be full of twists and turns since we started this path," she said.

"This can't be helped!" Arthur didn't argue. "And that doesn't mean our lives will be forever peaceful if we don't embark on this path," he added.

"What do you mean?" Isabel asked. She felt like Arthur looked like he was thinking about something very serious.

"I didn't know either at first, but after the trip on the island, I found out there are more things hidden in the earth. Some are something very scary to the point where even nuclear weapons are meaningless."

Independent dimensions? They were negligible from Arthur's point of view even though they were also very dangerous from earth. What was truly terrifying from Arthur's perspective was them or the unknown people mentioned on the gold foil coupled with the fact that time might be stopped for thousands of years was something even a Great Magus like Arthur could not predict.

It wasn't that he had never heard of stopping time.

It's just that it requires a complicated process and countless resources. At least in the history of the Sky World, no one had attempted that.

Isabel opened her mouth. Whatever the threat, one might not take it seriously if one didn't see it in person. However, if even nuclear weapons were useless, then how formidable would that threat really be? Was it a threat from a god?

In the end, she couldn't say anything because she really didn't know what she needed to say.

"The key is power," Arthur said again. "Aunt, as long as you are stronger than others, you will be fine."

"I see!" Isabel nodded. She no longer looked like she wanted to scold Arthur for his actions.

"However, if danger really is coming, when do you think it will come?" She asked.

"It's unpredictable, but we can definitely slow it down."

Arthur thought certain things like making the middle east empty of humans had something to do with either of the things mentioned on the gold papers.

Is it from those independent dimensions or those unknown people?

Which of them is not important.

Most importantly, he needed to find the masterminds who carried out the various plans as they were most likely connected to the real masterminds.

Maybe one way to find them is to come into conflict with them. Sooner or later, he will definitely run into them.

"Well, for that matter, I can only leave it to you," said Isabel. "However, whatever it is, I will definitely help you as long as it doesn't go against my conscience."

"I will definitely tell you, aunt." Arthur nodded. "And don't worry, I may not be the same as I was a few days ago because I have lived another life, but my roots are still the same. My beginning of life is here and you are the one who raised me, so I will definitely obey you."

"You really are good at talking huh." Isabel laughed and pinched Arthur's waist.
