Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 373 Not For Sale

Previously, Xu Feng's mind was so occupied with how to take care of the Mini Earthrender that the thought of a possible achievement went over his head.

Now that he recalled there was an achievement for pets, Xu Feng quickly wasted no time in entering the Pet Association and looking for a clerk.

Upon entering, Xu Feng saw many uniformed NPCs addressing numerous people with pets.

As he glanced around, searching for a shorter line, the entrance door suddenly entered a group of new people.

There were two men and three women within the group, each clad in exquisite clothes and exuding a powerful aura. They weren't acting haughty or arrogant on the surface, but from their aura and expression alone, one could tell they were looking down at most people.

At this moment, one woman who seemed bored noticed a creature on someone's shoulder.

"Oh my goodness," the woman exclaimed in amazement and rushed toward the person.

"Where are you going, Kiara? My uncle's office isn't that way." Her fellow companions called out in shock.

Their outbursts were rather loud, instantly attracting the attention of many, including Xu Feng.

Just when he turned around and was about to wonder what was going on, he noticed a woman dashing straight at him.

'What the?' Confused, Xu Feng stepped aside and attempted to avoid her dashing, thinking it was just someone rushing toward somewhere else. After all, he had just arrived here and was fairly new to the place. There was no way anyone would recognize him.

However, to his dismay, the woman actually changed its trajectory and her gaze was actually looking at him. No, more specifically, her gaze was looking at the creature on his shoulder.

"What are you doing, Miss?" Xu Feng remained alert and questioned, seemingly ready for a fight.

With the question raised, the woman finally halted her movement, a few meters away from him.

"Where did you find such a beautiful creature?" The woman asked, smiling playfully at the Mini Earthrender.

While Xu Feng was startled and confused by her actions, the woman's companion finally caught up to her.

"Kiara, what are you doing alarming other people?" One of the women asked with an exhausted tone.

"Oh, I just found a beautiful creature and wanted to ask the person for its source, Lara," Kiara explained casually.

Speechless by her attitude, Lara turned to Xu Feng with a stoic expression.

She glanced at his clothes and determined it wasn't anyone important. Without even bother offering any apology, she proceeded to drag Kiara away.

From start to finish, the woman, Lara, barely glanced at Xu Feng for more than 3 seconds.

'What a bunch of weirdos.' Xu Feng thought to himself. He turned around and was about to continue to walk toward a shorter line, only to have an arm extended in front of him, blocking his path.

Unamused, Xu Feng glanced at the man who blocked him.

"What's the meaning of this?" He asked, his tone somewhat unfriendly. Find more to read at empire

Without a doubt, this man was in the same group with the women called Kiara and Lara. If it wasn't because nothing serious actually happened, then Xu Feng wouldn't have minded teaching them a lesson.

"What are you doing, Chris?" Startled, Lara was dumbfounded by her companion's behavior. They were here to visit her uncle and to discuss getting a pet that the Pet Association had recently received in batch.

"Heh, I like this person's pet and merely wanted to buy it from him." Chris smirked and asked, "How much do you want? 20 gold coins?"

"Hey, no fair. I was the first to lay my eyes on it." Infuriated, Kiara freed herself from Lara's grip and offered, "I can give you 25 gold coins for your pet instead."

In their mind, such a pet shouldn't cost much, especially with its miniature size. From a glance, one could tell it was recently born, so the resources required to grow it would be massive.

Additionally, they didn't notice any registration link between them, meaning the pet was still considered ownerless from the Pet Association's perspective.

Despite their offense, Xu Feng remained calm and turned to the woman named Kiara.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Ah, so you offer 25 gold coins for my pet?" Xu Feng mused and retrieved 25 gold coins himself. "I have 25 gold coins here, so why don't you become my toy to screw around whenever I feel like it?"

At first, the group thought Xu Feng was going to sell it, but never did they expect he was audacious enough to talk about purchasing the woman as a toy.

"What did you just say, kid?" Chris' murderous aura brimmed through the roof.

"My sympathy for you." Not a bit affected by the murderous aura, Xu Feng sighed. "Not even that old yet but your hearing already has problems. Here, let Daddy here tell you again. If you want to buy my pet for 25 gold coins, then likewise, let that woman become my toy. It's a fair exchange."

Only now did everyone finally realize their ears didn't hear wrong.

"I'm not for sale!" Kiara shouted back, clearly offended by his remark.

"Oh, then my pet is also not for sale. I'm glad we came to a compromise." Xu Feng smirked.

These people were so rude and outright wanted to snatch his pet.

Who the fuck do they think they are?

He rarely sought trouble, but that didn't mean he was afraid of trouble either.

And no, he was not letting his emotions get the better of him.

Since he was bound to have closer ties with Paradise Plains sooner or later to further his goal, then if this incident of his cowering were to spread.

Who would want to do business with him?

"What's with all the commotion!" Amidst the tense atmosphere, an elderly voice echoed throughout the lobby.

"U-Uncle?" Alarmed, Lara turned around and noticed her uncle, Theodore, had arrived.

"Niece, didn't I tell you to come to my office once you arrived?" Theodore was unamused as he glanced at her companions.
