Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 103: Apologize

While Zhao Kai and Xu Feng occupied themselves with reverse tracking, back at the outskirts of Riverwood Town, a new crowd formed by the entrance of the Scorched Caverns.

"Damn it, we're so close again!" A member wearing a Fist emblem on his chest shouted in regret.

"I know right. That Inferno Tyrant boss' attack pattern is no joke."

"How are we supposed to counter those lava golems?"

These players were members of the Tyrant Fist Guild, led by none other than Herald Fist, who was currently standing by the side.

He was in deep thought as he couldn't comprehend why they couldn't complete the Hell Mode difficulty.

'The guide is real and we did reach the boss room, but it's not detailed enough.' Herald Fist cursed silently. During the first attempt, Herald Fist had already concluded the guide to be real as they reached the boss's room.

However, they were still wiped out in the end, given they lacked the necessary information on how to counter and retaliate against its attacks.

The Burning Blaze, Inferno Pressure, Incinerate, and numerous more attacks were a pain for him and his subordinates to deal with.

Thus, he decided to pay the remaining half, obliging the contract, and proceeded to ask if there was a more detailed guide. Yet all he got was a cold shoulder, with the opposing person not bothering to respond.

"Was it because I didn't pay upfront and caused them to be displeased with me?" Herald Fist muttered, feeling quite the headache. As much as he wanted to threaten the opposing party to cough it up, he could not afford to do that.

Just when Herald Fist was wondering how he could make amends, the entrance of the Scorched Caverns had some activity again.

"Look, it's Guild Leader Gentle Wind again!"

"Ahh, Silver Wind Guild is really built differently. They were already doing the Hell Mode difficulty as if it was a walk in the park!"

"Indeed, just look at the equipment from her guild. I'm so envious of them!"

Nearby players began cheering, with some even lamenting and expressing their envy of Gentle Wind and her guild members.

Meanwhile, Gentle Wind kept her usual appearance and simply gave a nod to them, but spotted Herald Fist by the side.

'Oh, he's wearing some drops from the Searing Specters.' Gentle Wind recognized one of the items and realized he must have figured something out.

Either that or he bought a guide from somewhere, just like her. Though it was quite evident that his guide was far inferior to hers, considering she had nearly fully equipped her members with the equipment from the Inferno Tyrant boss.

Taking a step forward and advancing toward Herald Fist, some of his subordinates attempted to block her path.

"What do you think you're doing?" Herald Fist quickly snorted and reprimanded his subordinates for attempting to block Gentle Wind.

This was a matter of discipline and how a subordinate should act when a person of similar or equal status appeared. Gentle Wind could be said to be in the same status as him, so to have his subordinates act so rudely toward her was equivalent to slapping him on the face.

With a wave of his hand, those subordinates lowered their heads and retreated. "My subordinates were rude, so don't mind them."

"Heh, I thought I was not welcome here with how aggressive your subordinates were acting." Gentle Wind chuckled softly, taking a jab at him for his clear failure to teach his subordinates.

Herald Fist twitched his brows, clearly understanding her taunt. He forcefully suppressed his emotions and kept a calm smile.

"I'm sure you are enjoying life. Your guild members' equipment isn't bad." He responded, taking a glance at her subordinates.

When compared, Herald Fist already knew he had lost this round, and miserably at that. It was no longer even a fight, but a complete beatdown.

At first, he thought Gentle Wind had hired a helper to assist her since he didn't recognize one of the names in the achievement list.

However, the thoughts became invalid now that she was completing the Hell Mode difficulty repeatedly with different types of people.

Who dared to question any foul play or cheat when everyone had attempted the dungeon and failed miserably?

"Hehe, thanks for the compliment, Herald Fist." Gentle Wind smiled amicably, but it was hard to mask the gloating feeling she was displaying.

"I still have a few elites of mine that need equipment upgrades, so we'll be doing the raid again in a few minutes. You can just continue to uhh-- camp here?" She added, preparing to turn around and leave him alone now that she completed her gloat.

"Wait a minute, Gentle Wind." Herald Fist suddenly called out and stood in front of her.

"You're completing these easily because you have an extensive guide on how to fight the boss, right?" He lowered his voice and proceeded to ask.

Gentle Wind didn't respond to him and merely kept a smile on her face, smoothly walking around him to return to her guild.

Nevertheless, the silence of her was enough for Herald Fist to know the answer to his question.

She didn't deny it, which meant the possibility of her having an extensive guide was high.

'So this person is the one that provided her with an extensive guide? Why not me?' Herald Fist's thoughts spiraled into frustration as he opened up his messages.

His face twisted in anger, veins bulging on his forehead. He clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles turned white as his brows furrowed deeply.

Was it because he was too skeptical and unwilling to pay upfront?

"Uh- Guild Leader, that Gentle Wind is entering the dungeon again with a new batch of people." Ardent Lance nervously stepped forward and reported.

"I got it!" Herald Fist shouted, gritted his teeth, and decided to throw away his pride temporarily as he proceeded to send a message.

Herald Fist: Hello, Sir, I was somewhat rude earlier to you in the business negotiation so I beg for your pardon. Hopefully, we can continue to collaborate further.

With the message sent, Herald Fist patiently waited for a response.

Meanwhile, back in the Verdant Valley, Xu Feng told Zhao Kai to continue the hunt while he took a mini break to rest.

'Taking the initiative to apologize huh. It's faster than I thought.' Amused, Xu Feng began thinking just how much of an apology fee he should request.
