Chapter 175: Where is the Help?

Chapter 175: Where is the Help?

The clashing of weapons and the crackling of dark energy reverberated through the tunnels as Velara steeled herself for the fight of her life. Her heart raced, the blood in her veins surged with adrenaline, but her mind remained focused. The Demon King Generals had pushed her to the brink, but she would not surrender. She was a queen, and she would fight to the very end for her kingdom.

Garruk charged again, his massive axe gleaming with a wicked glow. Each step he took caused the stone floor to fracture beneath him, his raw strength enough to overwhelm any ordinary foe. But Velara was no ordinary foe. She tightened her grip on Stormbreaker, her warhammer buzzing with the pent-up energy she'd drawn from the earth itself. As Garruk's axe descended, she swung her hammer upward, meeting his weapon with a force that sent shockwaves rippling through the chamber.

The impact shook the ground beneath them, cracks spreading across the stone as their weapons collided with a deafening boom. Velara's arms trembled under the sheer power of Garruk's attack, but she stood her ground, pushing back with all her strength. Sparks flew as their weapons locked together, and for a brief moment, their gazes met-Garruk's eyes glowing with malice, while Velara's burned with defiance.

"You are strong, dwarf," Garruk growled, his voice rumbling like a landslide, "but you will break."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Not before I break you," Velara retorted through gritted teeth, channeling more energy into her hammer. With a grunt of effort, she unleashed a surge of electricity that raced through Stormbreaker and into Garruk's axe. The bolt of lightning blasted through the warrior's body, forcing him to stagger back, but it wasn't enough to stop him.

Before Velara could press her advantage, a flicker of movement caught her eye. Thalor, the shadowy assassin, appeared out of the darkness, his twin blades aimed directly at her exposed flank. Without hesitation, Velara spun on her heel, raising her Thunder Gauntlets just in time to intercept his attack. Sparks flew as his blades met the crackling energy of her gauntlets, and with a snarl, Thalor darted back into the shadows, vanishing before her eyes.

"You are getting on my nerves, dwarf!" Thalor spatted. He didn't expect the queen of the dwarves to be as nimble and strong to put up a fight against the three Demon King General. Velara's breath came in sharp bursts as she spun to face the shadows once again. Thalor's taunt echoed through the chamber, but she didn't let his words shake her focus. She tightened her grip on Stormbreaker.

"I've faced worse than you, Thalor," Velara growled, her voice dripping with defiance. "I'll send you back to the darkness where you belong."

Her eyes scanned the edges of the chamber, knowing the assassin would strike when she least expected it. The faintest flicker of movement betrayed his position, and in an instant, Velara swung her hammer in the direction of the shadows. A crackling arc of electricity surged from Stormbreaker, illuminating the chamber as it hurtled toward the darkness.

Thalor barely dodged the strike, reappearing in a blur of motion just beyond the reach of the blast. His twin blades gleamed as he darted forward again, his speed blinding as he aimed for her back. But Velara was ready this time. She twisted with a speed that defied her heavy armor, her Thunder Gauntlets flaring with power as she caught his blades mid-swing.

The impact sent a shockwave through the air, sparks flying between them as they clashed. Thalor hissed in frustration, pushing against her strength, but Velara held firm. Her eyes blazed with fury as she pressed back, forcing the assassin to retreat once more.

"You cannot win this!" Thalor spat, his form flickering in and out of the shadows. "You are outmatched!"

Velara's voice was cold and resolute. "I've already broken one of you. You'll be next."

Her eyes flickered to Garruk's fallen form-his massive body still lying motionless from her devastating attack. But even as she said the words, Velara knew the fight was far from over. Morgath was still raising the dead, and Thalor's relentless attacks would continue until she ended him.

From the other side of the chamber, Morgath's eerie laughter echoed. "You're a fool if you think you can hold us off forever, dwarf queen," the necromancer called.

Morgath's voice carried through the chamber, chilling as the shadows seemed to twist and writhe around him. His skeletal hands rose once more, weaving an intricate pattern of dark energy.

"You think you've gained the upper hand," he hissed, "but death is eternal, and I command it."

With a sweeping motion of his hand, Morgath conjured a vortex of swirling, black energy. The air itself seemed to warp around the spell as the vortex expanded, spiraling faster and faster until it was a chaotic storm of raw, destructive magic. Without hesitation, he thrust his hand forward, sending the vortex hurtling toward Velara.

Velara's eyes widened as the destructive force rushed toward her. The dark energy twisted through the air, growing in size as it closed in. She had no time to dodge; the vortex was too fast. Instead, she dug her feet into the ground and raised Stormbreaker.

The vortex slammed into her hammer with immense force. The sheer power of it sent shockwaves through her arms, but Velara held firm, pushing back against the onslaught. Lightning crackled around her as she channeled the energy into Stormbreaker, trying to disperse the vortex's destructive force. But Morgath's spell was relentless, pressing down on her with increasing intensity.

"Is this all the mighty queen of dwarves can do?" Morgath sneered, his voice filled with dark amusement as he poured more power into the spell. "You cannot withstand my magic forever."

Ever since they started fighting, twenty minutes have passed. Velara herself was impressed that she held on for that long. And ever since she took the fight, she was expecting help from the outsiders. Just where it is?

Suddenly-she heard a noise coming from the skies. She couldn't determine who was making it but there was certainly a sound being from the sky.

Meanwhile, in the command room of the dwarves. While the officials of the Dwarven Kingdom were scrambling, Vincent on the other hand was communicating with the AC-130 that had just arrived from Akarios Island.

"Do you see the target?" Vincent asked.

"Spooky-1 to Alpha Actual, three targets confirmed, one friendly. We'll take it from here."
