Reincarnated to Bonk in Another World

Chapter 98: Healer

Chapter 98: Healer

In the next two days, Albert went back and forth between the city and the forest, refilling the monsters inside the Horny Jail.

At the same time, he was also satisfied with how much EXP he had gotten from killing some monsters.

Surprisingly, Yale didn't follow him to the forest because he wanted to get better at utilizing his own power. He realized that he was nothing compared to Albert, so this was the solution to slightly decrease the gap between them.

On the other hand, Albert was smiling because after two days of hunting, he had gotten far stronger than he expected.

Name: Albert Gran

Level: 69

EXP: 69%

Race: Demon Dog

Title: Bonk Senior

Not only was he one step away from level 70, but he also had become Bonk Senior. This way, his power increased tremendously.

Even Erica couldn't believe Albert's improvement as though defeating the slime king had actually released the hidden potential within Albert.

She didn't know that Albert was simply leveling up and completing his missions.

On the third day, a few hours before the slime king subjugated, Albert decided to go somewhere.

Erica decided to work with the subjugation force to report about their experiences in the past two days.

On the other hand, he had reached the place he wanted to go.

It was a huge building with a dome-shaped roof. The building was none other than the temple.

Albert entered the temple and found a female inside. The woman had pinkish skin and long pointed ears. Albert thought it was an elf in a single glance, but he soon found a pair of horns that were similar to that of goat's.

She wore a long white robe that covered her entire body.

"Welcome to the Demon God Temple. Do you need any help?" The female smiled.

Albert frowned and checked her status.

Name: Maya

Race: Druid

Level: 91

Gender: Female

Jail Time: 50 hours

Albert never expected to see a druid, and a strong one on top of that. Even so, he smiled so as to not give her any weird feeling. "Yes. Actually, I want to learn a healing spell. The Magic Shop told me that I should go to the temple to learn it. I wonder if it's possible"

"Ah!" The druid smiled. "Of course. It's possible."

She assumed Albert possessed Healer Job since a person could only have one job normally. There was no way she would push such a person away.

"Please come in."

Albert nodded and followed the druid, leading him inside.

"What is your name? My name is Maya." She smiled sweetly.

"I'm Albert. How do I learn a healing spell?" Albert introduced himself and asked.

"The process is basically the same as the Magic Shop. However, because we're directly connected to the power of Demon God, the Magic Shop leaves everything to the temple."

"So, do I need to have, uhm, Dark Element?"

"Nope. It seems you have been hearing the doctrine the human temple has. They always told those people that Dark Element is bad because the demons are the personification of darkness.

"That's not true at all. We are simply living beings just like humans with different appearances.

"We still need the Light Element to wield healing magic. So, you don't need to worry about not having the qualification to wield healing magic.

"The demons can easily be healed with healing magic. Hence, I need to remind you not to trust their propaganda."

Albert fell silent for a moment and nodded. "I understand. Thank you for your explanation."

"So, I'm assuming you have a Light Element, right?"

"Yes," Albert confirmed it without hesitation.

"That's good. Then, I will get you the book for healing spells." She then opened the door on the right side of the temple, leading them to a room with so many shelves filled with books inside.

She looked around and picked up a book. "Here it is."

Albert reached the book and read the title.

'Basic Healing Spell.'

'Ehm? The book is not that thick, probably only twenty pages or something. But still this is the first time I see a spellbook this thick for a single spell.' Albert thought while making sure there was no 's' behind the spell, so it meant it was singular.

He opened the book immediately and realized the book was actually a story.

Albert furrowed his eyebrows, wondering if he should learn all the story. And he doubted that he could learn a spell from this.

But Bonkey worked like magic as the notification flashed before his eyes.

Skill: Healing Light

Effect: Summoning a light from the Demon God to increase the metabolism speed.

Requirement: 60 Bonk Bites

Since he had enough Bonk Bites, he immediately learned it without hesitation. Surprisingly, he found something new in the description.

Skill: Healing Bonk - 5 Bonk Bites

Effect: By converting the horniness inside the Bonk Bat to Magic Power, the user can transfer the Magic Power into the person, resulting in increasing the metabolism's speed. (Can only be used by consuming Bonk Bites.)

'Bonkey, what's the meaning of the last sentence? The one inside the parentheses.' Albert asked.

[I think it's clear enough. Even if there are horny people around you, you still need to consume 5 Bonk Bites to use the skill. And just hit them with the bonk lightly]

'But doesn't that mean they will be bonked if they're horny?'

[Take a look at your inventory again.]

He opened the inventory for him and realized he had got another bat.

The bat seemed to have 'Healing' written on it, so it was a similar case to the Horny Jail.

[Though, I suggest you finish reading it or just pretend to finish it. It will make you less suspicious.]

'Well, that's true. Alright.' Albert continued reading it and handed the book a few minutes later. "I've learned it. Thank you for your help."

"Eh?" The druid widened her eyes in disbelief. Never in her wildest dream would she hear someone learning a healing spell with a single glance. "You're lying."

"Not really. Anyway, it's a great read. Thank you." Albert waved his hand and started walking away.

Suddenly, Maya grasped Albert's arm to stop him. She looked Albert in the eyes as if she felt challenged. "You said you've learned it. Prove it!"

"Ehm? Isn't this my right whether I want to prove it or not?" Albert raised his eyebrows, wondering what was wrong with this druid's head.

"Ah, ehm" Maya flinched for a moment and looked away, thinking for a reason. In the end, she explained herself. "I'm sorry. It's just my first time hearing someone learning the healing spell in a single glance. My pride feels a bit hurt, so if you don't mind, I would like you to prove it."

She became polite, making Albert reconsider his choice.

There was truly a difference between when you asked someone politely and genuinely and when you demanded it from them.

Albert thought for a moment and chose to be a bigger guy, forgiving the girl. "Alright. How do you want me to prove it?"

Maya fell silent for a few seconds while staring at Albert's arm before she took out a knife and cut her own arm.

She endured the pain, knowing that she shouldn't hurt him since she demanded him to prove himself.

"This Please heal me." Maya extended her hand with blood flowing out of it.

Albert sighed and took out his Bonk Bat.

"What? Space Element?!" Maya widened her eyes, thinking she had been fooled.

However, Albert ignored her and used his Healing Spell, Healing Bonk.

The Bonk Bat started glowing, releasing the warm white light.

Maya was stunned when she felt the familiar light coming out of the bat.

When Albert touched the wound with her bat, she surprisingly didn't feel any pain even though it should be hurt when someone touched it, let alone a bat.

To her surprise, the blood stopped flowing outside and the wound gradually closed on its own.

"That is Healing Light." Maya widened her eyes and started becoming suspicious. "Have you learned this beforehand?"

"No. That's up to you whether you believe it or not. For now, it's time for me to leave." Albert waved his hand.

"Have you ever healed someone?" Maya asked again.

"You're the first one." Albert shook his head while walking away.

Maya followed him from behind and asked another question. "Then, do you want to heal a few more people? I have been summoned by the guild. They said there's something going on and they're receiving many injured people."

When he heard it, Albert's expression brightened, thinking this was a perfect opportunity to heal someone.

"Hoh?" Albert came to a halt and said, "That's interesting."

"Good." Maya smiled. The only reason she said this was because she wanted to see Albert's proficiency. If he was someone experienced in dealing with wounds, she would know by how he reacted. If he was inexperienced, then it meant she had met a genius.

Albert and Maya immediately came out of the temple, making their way toward the guild.

Little did they know, there was a succubus sitting on the temple's roof, looking at them with a bored expression.

It was Lilith.

'Hmm' Lilith closed her eyes in disappointment. She was about to surprise Albert after coming out of the temple, but it seemed to be not possible.

After all, the moment she came to the city, her charm would stun everyone.

Even the ministers had a hard time suppressing their desire when they worked together with Lilith.

That was why there was a sense of loneliness on her back as she had been alone this whole time because no one could resist her charm. This was the reason she was a bit desperate in befriending Albert.

Albert, on the other hand, never knew any of this. He simply walked to the guild, hoping to meet many injured people so he could finish his mission and get the Healer Job.

When they opened the guild's door, they found multiple people lying on the floor with wounds on their bodies.

The receptionist of the guild immediately came to Maya and said, "There are a total of 67 people injured here. Can you heal them all? The guild will also help to pay the healing fee."

"You can give the payment to him." Maya pointed at Albert.

"Eh? Ah, alright." The receptionist didn't understand her, but she thought Albert was Maya's man.

On the contrary, Maya glanced at Albert's expression and asked inwardly, 'How's that?'

She expected Albert to not react to this statement if he had some experience. After all, it wasn't fair to take her money.

However, Albert frowned and asked, "Why give it to me? It's true that I'll help, but I'm not here for the money."

Albert answered righteously and added inwardly, 'I'm here to complete my mission.'

This statement bewildered Maya for a second before she said, "Alright. We will split the money according to the number of people we heal."

"I don't know how fast you can heal them, but I would like to heal 29 people" Albert paused for a moment and continued, "Because I don't have too much Magic Power."

"Ah. This should be a good experience for you." She nodded in agreement, feeling a bit convinced that Albert was an inexperienced healer.

They then began to heal the people inside the guild.

It was the first time Albert helped people like this and his respect to the doctors that helped a huge number of patients in an emergency room increased drastically.

Even though he wasn't on Earth anymore, he thanked them for fulfilling their duty.

After one hour, they finally finished healing all of them and received the notification from Bonkey.

Without hesitation, Albert claimed the reward and received the Healing Job along with the Healer Panel.

Bonkey even gave him an additional message about Healer Title.

Albert just took a single glance and brushed it off his mind before looking at the Healer Panel, feeling interested in it.
