Chapter 10: Misunderstanding
Chapter 10: Misunderstanding
[Horny Targets: 2]
[Bonk Bat is amplified.]
He never thought that he would be hyped for such a thing, but with this condition, there was no doubt that he was at his peak form.
Not caring about the blue-skinned cyclops, Albert raised his bat high and charged toward the left goblin.
"Ha." Albert swung his bat with a smile on his face. He couldn't help but shout, "Bonk Smasher!"
The swing was swift and precise as if Albert poured all his frustration in this swing.
The bat struck the club and crushed it together with the goblin's head.

"Heck yeah. Bonk is powerful." Albert unintentionally shouted as he made his way to the second goblin that was about to strike him.
"Once again Bonk Smasher!" Albert struck the club again and shattered the bat into pieces before hitting the goblin's face.
Bam.
The goblin was sent flying as Albert received another notification.

[You leveled up.]
Albert panted a few times and looked around, finding the cyclops looking at him in shock.
"To crush the clubs along with their heads You're quite strong, aren't you?" The cyclops said. "And I don't think I have seen you anywhere. Are you new to this place?"
Albert scratched the back of his head and nodded. "Y-yes. My name is Albert."
"Welcome to this town then." She nodded.
"Yes. Thank you."
"Then, I won't bother you any longer." The cyclops waved her hand and walked away.
Since there wasn't anyone here, he finally assessed his situation.
'I have leveled up?' Albert tilted his head in confusion.
[Yes.]
'I don't feel much different.' Albert thought for a moment and tried to wave his golden bat. 'Ha!'
He felt the same weight in his swing and the speed was pretty much the same.
[It's not that easy to see the difference. But before you know it, you will realize you have gotten stronger as you keep leveling up.]
'Is that so? Well, whatever. As long as I can get stronger, I don't really care.' Albert shrugged. 'Besides, fighting doesn't really make my mind clear No wonder when it's a street brawl, you will only punch your opponent until you defeat him.
'The adrenaline rush is distracting me. I should be careful and keep a cool head this whole time. The same applies to the Bonk Bat.' Albert let out a sigh, realizing his mistakes in this fight.
After that, he turned to the two goblins as the smell finally entered his nose.
"Ugh." He couldn't help but cover his nose. "What is this foul smell? The blood? I haven't bled for that long, so I think they won't release this kind of smell easily. In that case"
When he took a closer look at the goblins, he realized the blood wasn't red. The goblins had purple blood and the smell seemed to come from their crushed organs.
"I see. That's quite disturbing. I have watched people dying a few times, but it's still disturbing when you're the cause of it. But this world is not that lenient I need to strengthen my resolve." Albert raised his hand and clenched it as he swore in his heart.
Not knowing what to do, Albert thought for a moment and tried to raise the body.
"Ehm? This is not as heavy as I imagine." Albert was surprised by the goblin's weight. "It feels like I am carrying a small kid."
Upon realizing their weight, Albert grabbed both of their heads and dragged them back to the town, trying to ask Aran what he could do with these goblins.
It wasn't that far from the town, so he arrived pretty quickly.
Aran was surprised when he saw Albert dragging two goblins. He rushed to him and asked, "Albert. Did you kill them?"
He inspected the goblins' injuries as he realized the thing that killed them was one powerful smack on the head. In that instant, he understood Albert had powerful strength.
"To think you're this strong." Aran nodded a few times before patting his shoulders.
"They attacked me when I was searching for Haze Grass. And now, I don't know what to do with them." Albert sighed.
"Oh. When you encounter goblins, you should cut their ears as this would be proof of your kill. You can ask Fila for a reward later by presenting that proof."
"Is that so?"
"Yeah. Anyway, I will lend you this knife" Aran took out a knife from the right pocket and said, "Use it to cut their ears."
"Okay." Albert reached for the knife, only to have his hand jolted as if there was electricity covering the knife. He ended up knocking the knife away while jumping out of reflex. "Aaaahhh!"
Aran was taken aback by Albert's reaction and stepped back.
"Ah, I'm sorry!" Albert hurriedly apologized to Aran, bent down his knees, and grabbed the knife. However, he still felt that electricity as if it was burning his palm. "Argh!"
Albert gritted his teeth and closed his eyes as if he was in pain.
Seeing that expression, Aran frowned. 'His expression seems to be genuine? Does this mean he can't use a knife? Wait a minute, is this a curse or something? Or Is this his trauma? He has been tortured by his abusive parents and this is the after effect. If this is the case he's too pitiful.'
Aran looked at him worriedly and placed his hand on Albert's shoulder. "That's enough. You don't need to do this anymore."
He bent down, checked Albert's hand that showed no indication of pain, and realized it was a trauma. He then grabbed the knife and cut the goblins' ears before handing it to Albert.
"Sorry. I don't mean to hurt you." Aran apologized with a serious expression as if he felt the same pain as him.
Albert was obvious to his thought as he recalled the reason he couldn't grab this knife.
Name: Bonk Bat
Effect: The only weapon that a bonker can use. Increase the user's power when encountering a horny opponent.
Little did he know, Aran had misunderstood him once again, thinking it was the trauma his parents inflicted.
