Chapter 190 - 190 chapter 189
190 chapter 18The red dragon kneeled down and glanced deep into her eyes. “From this day from on, I promise you. You, baby Xia and our babies will be my life. I will do anything for you all. I will even give my life.....” he whispered, kissing her pink jade like knuckles.
Yukiya closed his mouth firmly. “Don’t say that. Instead you should say, ‘I will live for you all’,” she whispered with a loving smirk.
The red dragon nodded and laid his head on her lap. She slowly raked her finger through his long hair, pulling out some tangles. “Ki~ I love you.” she whispered close to his ears.
Long Ki glanced up and smirked. “I love you to wifey,”
Saying this, he dragged her onto the bed and pushed her under him. Gasping, she clung to his shoulders softly. But all of a sudden he pulled the duvet over her naked form and tucked her in with a gentle smile.
Yukiya, who was closing her eyes awaiting a kiss, blinked awake. “eh!”
Noticing her questioning glance, he smirked. “don’t tire yourself too much. It’s not good for the child,” Long ki caressed her face lovingly.
Yukiya grunted and rolled over to the other side of the bed. Sensing that the dragon was getting into the duvet, she dragged it all to herself. “You tease, go sleep on the couch,” she mumbled.
“wifey, you can’t punish me like that,” he grumbled and hugged the rolled up duvet. She felt a small wetness next to his cheeks. “You have not dried your hair yet,” he whispered softly and pulled her hair out. Heating his hands up, he slowly caressed her smooth jet black hair. The water vapor evaporated, leaving her hair dry and glossy.
.....
Yukiya subtly glanced at him and pulled him down by his collar. “Get to bed on time,” she mumbled and covered him with the duvet. Rolling over, she hugged his waist and dozed off to sleep.
In the middle of the night. She felt a weird itch near her shin. Blinking awake, she scratched it. Her skin felt very dry and flaky to touch. Puzzled, she sat up and pulled the duvet off. Her skin was pink and irritated. “What happened? Did I get bit by something?” she mumbled.
Her skin had always been healthy and glossy. Dry skin was never an issue that she had to face. She leaned to the bedside stand and picked up a bottle of castor oil. She dripped some onto her palm and applied it to the itch.
After doing so, she went back to sleep.
Sometime later she woke up again by the unbearable itch. This time it was accompanied by a small pain around that area. She frowned and glanced at the affected area again. It was slightly red. Sighing, she applied some healing medicine on it. All of a sudden, the red skin started pealing. Reviling the bloodied under skin. “what the hell?” she mumbled and poured her healing potion on it.
The wound did not heal rather it started expanding. Her skin started pealing little by little, revealing a skinny layer below. The pain was progressively getting worse.
“Ki…..” she whispered worriedly, but the dragon was deeply asleep. Not wanting I disturb him, she silently went over to the bathroom. Gritting her teeth, she washed off the painful layer of wound. Her skin slowly washed away to reveal a small orange scale in the area there.
“Scale! Why am I having scales? This is bad,” she anxiously pranced around the bathroom. “Yukiya don’t be scared. It’s just your scales. What’s there to be afraid,” she whispered, glancing at her reflection.
The pain in her shin slowly progressed over to her thigh. At first she was puzzled about what was happening, but from the weird feeling in her lower stomach she knew that the baby was reacting. ‘Wait, Ling Hua said my baby was a fish egg. That’s why my body is forcibly transforming,’ she thought with a sigh of relief.
A small pain originating in hr tummy made her shudder. “Fine, fine baby. Mommy will transform please make less trouble,” she softly touched her tummy.
Even though she was talented enough to swim out of water, she was unsure how this pregnancy had changed her boy. So just in case, she prepared a small jar of water on the mirror table. Glancing at her reflection one last time, she closed her eyes and imagined her small Koi form.
Unknown to her, all her spiritual energy revolved around her body gently and accumulating near her baby.
Yukiya opened her eyes. “What the…” she was still in her human form. “Why…” she glanced at her hand. Closing her eyes tight she tried again. But this time also she failed to transform into a fish.
The scaled area on her legs was slowly creeping closer to her thigh, leaving behind a bloodied skin all over the floor. “I need Ki,” She frantically rushed out. Before she could reach the door, her legs lost strength. Her lungs also stopped working.
‘I need to get to water fast.’ gasping, she crawled over to the bath tub. Her dragon had forgotten to drain the water, so it was still filled with their dirty bath water.
Pulling her weight was hard. “Long Ki!” she shouted as she was panted hard. Her legs were completely useless at this point, it just dragged behind her. She gripped onto the wooden walls of the bath tub and pulled limp legs up. Lopping into the cold water she softly gasped in fresh air.. Somehow, her gills had opened up next to her abdomen making her completely aquatic. “Long Ki!” she shouted again, making the gills flap up and down rapidly.
This time she heard some shuffling outside the door.
“Ki, help,” she cried, touching her aching legs. Biting her cheeks, she pulled her limp legs inside the tub. Suddenly something cracked. Her legs curved inside. “AHHH!” she muffled her screen, biting into her palm. Her entire mouth tasted bloody.
“Yukiya!! What’s wrong! Open the door,” Long Ki banged the door from outside. He tried slamming it open, but the door was sturdier than he expected. “Are you closing the door?” he shouted anxiously.
“N—No!” she gasped softly.
“Okay cover your ears. I’m going to break the door,” he said and pulled out his sword. His black fire slowly enveloped the sword, making it ablaze. With just a swing, the door was sliced into two. Pushing through the rubble, he rushed inside.
The entire bathroom reeked of her blood. Eh frantically glanced around to find her hands hanging on the side of the tub. “Yukiya!” he held her limp hands. They were biting cold. “Yukiya, baby,” he whispered, cupping her face softly.
She sobbed into his palm. “The baby...how is the baby. Check the baby…” he gripped onto his hand and led it to his flat tummy.
Gulping, Long ki gently inserted his spiritual energy inside. Like a gentle ribbon, it flowed through her veins towards her abdomen. The little spiritual energy jumped up cheerfully and enveloped his energy. “The baby is fine. What is wrong? Tell me… where are you bleeding?” he whispered, glancing at the bloodied water.
“My legs….my legs….. its peeling off,” she cried.
“Peeling! Why?” he touched her legs tenderly. It felt very soft, and some are felt smooth. “What is that,” he gently pulled her legs out of water. To find it covered in orange scales. “Are you transforming into a Koi?”
“Y—yes,” she whimpered and pulled her legs into the water. The cool water soothed her aching legs a bit.
Worriedly Long massaged her cold hands. “Are your transformations always so painful?”
“No, I can’t transform at all,” she cried. “The baby….. I think it’s coming soon,” she whispered anxiously.
Long Ki gulped hard. He was not at all prepared for childbirth. “umm, do you need some towel and warm water… something?,”
“No, just stay here…..” he cried.
Long ki frowned and gripped tightly onto her hands. He was not able to do anything for her but to watch. “umm, what should I do?”
“Just sit tight, AHH…..” she screamed all of a sudden. Her legs distorted and went crooked. A small film of skin started forming in between her legs, fusing them together.
“I think you have a tail….” Long Ki whispered, astonished.
“You think,” she chuckled even under the unbearable pain. She glanced at her orange tail and panted. “I have not had a tail before. I was just trying to change into a koi….but I guess I’ve got a tail now,” she whispered without any energy.
Long ki chuckled as well humorlessly. “At least let me change the water,” he rushed over the nearby tap and paused. He did not have any buckets or anything to catch water. “Yukiya, where us the pail,”
“I don’t have any,”
“Why…..”
“I’m a water cultivator. I have no use for a pail or a bucket,” she shouted loudly. She gestured for him to come closer. “Come here please, let the water be,”
With a frown, Long ki dashed to her and hugged her from the back. “it will get better.” He whispered, inserting some of his spiritual energy in her body.
