Chapter 75 Failed
'It seems that things within the Hidden Heaven are indeed complicated,' Qin Yuan thought as he continued to stare at Jian Yixue.
He wanted to know, so he nodded.
"Tell him I agree," he said later.
Jian Yixue remained silent, she seemed to be in communication.
Click!
Right after that, Qin Yuan heard as if the sound of a lock opening from the Immortal Devouring space.
His eyes shone brightly.
"Wait for me here," he said to Jian Yixue.
He then stepped into the air, pierced through spacetime with full power until he arrived at a remote territory.
This he did just in case a foreign power came out.
Meanwhile, within the Hidden Heaven, the mysterious figure's eyes widened as he saw a portal suddenly appear on the seat Jian Yixue had previously occupied.
He then looked at the Dragon and shouted loudly. "Damned brat, what are you doing?"
His loud voice instantly blew away the mist that covered the dragon's body, revealing his true figure.
He was a young man with pale white skin and silver hair and white eyes, similar to the figure's eyes.
What is quite unique, under his ears to his hands, there are black scales that faintly emit a destructive aura.
The members who saw his body couldn't help but wonder if he really was a Dragon.
"Brat, I'll take care of you later," said the figure in a hoarse voice.
Right after saying that, he suddenly jumped down.
No one was interested in paying attention to him now that people were more interested in the two hands that suddenly appeared from within the portal.
Only the appearance of those two hands made the space tremble violently. All the members looked as if they had lost their souls.
Hihhhh!
The sound of breathing resounded before the figure of a man passed through the portal.
His golden eyes flashed light, turning the dark sky bright.
Qin Yuan looked at the people sitting at the table one by one.
When he appeared in person, no barrier could block his gaze.
But he wasn't interested in observing them, his gaze quickly falling on the figure leaping onto the ground below.
The thing that made it strange was that there was a thin energy suddenly appearing from each side, they seemed to be in the process of forming a dome, which would cover the land.
"Does he also have control over this place?"
Qin Yuan wondered and quickly stretched his hand downwards.
Rumble!
A gigantic black hole appeared, it was focused on the figure so that its suction power was only directed at it.
"God damn it!" He suddenly shouted.
Right after that, black flames blazed from his body, becoming a gigantic black dragon.
It let out a loud roar before charging towards the black hole.
However, in front of the black hole, the black dragon's figure became chaotic before disintegrating, turning back into flames that were quickly absorbed by the black hole.
Qin Yuan couldn't help but knit his brows as he didn't find the figure anymore.
"It looks like he has destroyed his body, but it still hasn't stopped, so he must still be alive."
When he said that, the dome was already fully formed.
Whoosh!
Qin Yuan then dropped a giant star onto the dome.
The star exploded instantly as it hit the dome, filling the place with fire.
However, even though it was an explosion that could shatter a continent, the dome remained unscathed.
Qin Yuan had his own estimates and he knew that his strength was not enough to destroy the dome. At least for now.
His gaze then turned to the Dragon.
"Kid, what does this mean?" He asked.
His majestic power was still radiating, so the dragon was instantly intimidated to the point his body shivered.
"S-sir, Y-Your Excellency please calm down, I will explain," he said in a trembling yet fast voice.
He showed his fingers which were full of mysterious lines.
Qin Yuan didn't see them at first until the Dragon actually showed his fingers.
"I control half of the Hidden Heaven and 9 of its 18 entrances," the Dragon continued.
"And he controls half of it?" Qin Yuan asked as he glanced down.
This kind of thing wasn't unusual, like a formation where two people controlled each half.
While the Dragon nodded, Qin Yuan continued, "So who is he and where are you two from?"
The black scales on the Dragon's body were similar to the human form of the Dragons, perhaps he was also a Dragon.
However, the aura this youth emitted was quite different, especially that aura of destruction.
"Your Excellency, we are from the Hell," replied the Dragon.
"But what the Hell is like, I actually don't know much either because I'm just a small figure there while the Hell is vast like a Universe."
"Hell?" Qin Yuan was almost dumbfounded at the word.
He couldn't help but approach the young man and look at him more closely.
"So it really exists, but what are you guys doing here?" he asked.
"To return to this Universe," the youth replied, leaving Qin Yuan even more confused.
"Basically the Hell has been expelled from this Universe and we are on our way back. The first thing that was sent was this Hidden Heaven."
"Are you saying that it is your duty to pave the way?"
"Yes!"
The young man's answer made Qin Yuan's gaze at him even more strange.
"I know what is confusing you, Your Excellency… The reason I'm here is because I am the owner of half of the Hidden Heaven and it was possible because this artifact was once held by my Ancestor who sacrificed for the Hell. My ancestor had already arranged various kinds of formations so that half of this artifact had to be handed over to his descendants or it would expose itself... I, his surviving descendant was finally summoned and given this before being sent here."
"Oh, I see!" Qin Yuan nodded.
"So the other half is under that person's control?"
"Yes, he's the one who was sent by Hell to arrange everything because I don't know much either. He said that he was stronger than the highest experts in the Divine World. Luckily he was seriously injured while we were on our way to this world...
"When he arrived, he also used the rest of his strength to create a tunnel that would later become the entrance for the people of the Hell. I'm sure you know about the Unknown Vortex."
"That vortex?" Qin Yuan's eyes became very serious.
He didn't think about why the young man was still a Sovereign while the vortex had already appeared generations ago since he could have sealed his body from then on.
"Then why did you betray?" Qin Yuan asked.
"That person wants to use an evil technique to forcibly increase my strength, that's not a good thing for me," he replied.
"Oh, didn't your ancestral formation protect you from that?"
"The result is that this artifact will be exposed, my fate will become even more unclear when that happens… I think surrendering to you is much better."
"Okay, I understand now!" Qin Yuan nodded.
Right after that, the Rabbit suddenly said, "So the task you've been giving us all along, like spreading some of those weird things is to help people from the Hell come to this world?"
The woman's expression turned pale as she said that.
The others are the same.
They stared at the Dragon with unpleasant expressions.
The dragon seemed unconcerned, he just continued to stare at Qin Yuan.
"Your Excellency, you are a great person, I believe your words can be trusted," he said.
Qin Yuan responded by extending his right hand to him.
"Come on, leave it to me, your little life means nothing to me, but you must erase your ancestral formation from here," he said.
The dragon took a deep breath.
After that, he made a strange movement.
Mysterious lights appeared in various places and entered his body.
"I have already canceled my ancestral formation," he said.
He then grabbed Qin Yuan's palm.
Immediately after that the lines on his fingers moved to Qin Yuan's fingers.
It was fast and there were no strange phenomena.
As all the lines appeared on Qin Yuan's finger, he immediately felt a connection with half of the Hidden Heaven.
"Mmm..."
He sensed the nine entrances the Dragon said.
In addition to the one entrance that was in his hands, others were scattered in various places in the Divine World, moving as if teleporting, able to appear in faraway locations in an instant.
Only, Qin Yuan found he was not completely able to control them, he could only move their direction in general or open them up.
"Why can't I control these entrances?" He couldn't help but ask.
"Your Excellency, it can't be done because the Hidden Heaven is a Heavenly Artifact with its own consciousness. Even without an owner, it can still move," replied the Dragon.
"You mean there's an Artifact Spirit here?"
Qin Yuan had heard of such a thing although he had never seen it personally.
"Yes, in order to fully control this artifact, you have to become the controller of the spirit, but until now, it never appeared."
Hearing that, Qin Yuan knitted his brows and looked around, trying to detect the spirit's presence.
Now it's understandable why the Dragon can only summon random people.
However, compared to that, he was more interested in one thing.
"System, why didn't I get the reward?"
[According to the rules, you still can't be considered to have obtained this Artifact.] The system replied.
"..."
"It didn't get to the point of me controlling that spirit, did it?"
[No, it will be another mission later.]
Phew!
Qin Yuan breathed a sigh of relief.
...
Note:
Hidden Heaven was not the Heavenly Treasure sought by the Epoch Giants who wished to come to the Divine World. As for what it was, it had actually been mentioned very vaguely. You will know if you search carefully. Of course, it was not a treasure that belonged to the God Clan and Devil Clan.
