Reincarnated as the Son of Conglomerate

Chapter 66 Taste Of Victory

Everyone on the auditorium benches was dumbfounded. Their expressions were enough to say what they were thinking.

"Damn it," he muttered.

He hadn't expected this situation to happen to him. A Death Bringer who had lived for hundreds of years would feel stage fright. This was his first experience. He was really upset.

He had only taken lives and destroyed anything that got in his way all his life. For him, finishing them all off was easier than speaking in front of them.

The pressure he felt was different. Not the pressure that requires Klaus to save his life. It wasn't even about life and death. It was something else and unfamiliar.

Klaus was disappointed and angry with himself. But he had a presentation to finish. They were still waiting for him. The longer silent he was, the more deeply they looked at him.

Time was ticking away. He had to present his product soon, or else the promotion of Elemental Gun would fail. If it failed, his plan to monopolize also failed. It was a domino effect.

Suddenly, he heard a soft voice calling him. Klaus turned his head to the side of the stage, seeing Terry pointing at his ass.

"What the f...?"

Terry continued to point at the butt. The flamboyant man wanted Klaus to use his advice, imagining the entire audience as a butt.

Huffing, Klaus followed the advice. Closing his eyes, he imagined the shape of a butt, but he couldn't find one. He forgot the last time he had sex with a woman.

"Damn it, I never thought I'd do this. Laplace, can you make me hallucinate?" Klaus muttered.

<Yes, my liege. With your permission.>

"Make me hallucinate; see them as buttocks. Give me the best ass shape."

<...>

There was no answer from Laplace, and he felt her. Assuming the spirit had done as he was told, Klaus opened his eyes, and the audience's head turned into butts. There were butts wearing shirts, butts wearing suits, and butts carrying Gucci laptops.

His face turned dark as he saw this surreal scene.

However, the pressure on his shoulders disappeared. Klaus felt his body lighten, and his mind began to clear.

"It's work."

Klaus smiled. The look in his eyes became confident. He raised his head as he saw those buttocks.

"How do you react when someone cusses in front of your face? Like I did earlier."

The buttocks swayed.

Klaus walked around the stage.

"You must want to punch him in the face, right? Because I also get annoyed when people yell in my face. If they are ordinary people, there might be a fight. But what if the person yelling at your face is an awakener. You can't do anything about it."

The buttocks nodded, understanding what Klaus meant. Not every awakener became a superhero who saved the city from monsters.

Awakening happened randomly, and anyone could experience it, even for assholes.

And people like them would do whatever they wanted if they felt superior to others. And the non-awakener people could only stand by when these people messed with them.

In the police force, there were very few awakeners. Every police officer who experienced an awakening chose to resign and became an awakener because the salary they received was negligible. They would rather become professional awakeners or join a company.

As a result, there was no one to protect ordinary people.

"You have no power to fight back. It sucks," Klaus continued. "But you don't need to worry anymore. Mors Industries has the solution."

Klaus opened the suitcase and took out the Elemental Gun. Its shape was different from last time. It was black with blue neon stripes on it. The buttocks swayed as Klaus raised the futuristic-shaped gun.

"I present to you, a next-generation projectile weapon, the Elemental Gun!"

The buttocks made an echoing sound. Klaus could not translate their reaction, but he was sure they were enthusiastic.

"Allow me to show you the power of this gun."

Klaus threw the suitcase. As it floated in the air, Klaus focused on the target and pulled the trigger. Blue lightning shot out of the muzzle and struck the suitcase.

Bam! The suitcase fell to the floor.

The lightning left a 30-diameter hole on the surface of the suitcase. The edges of the hole melted, glowing red and billowing smoke. Klaus pointed the hollowed suitcase at those buttocks, and they said "waah" simultaneously.

"As you can see. The firepower of this gun is extremely powerful, surpassing the lightning casters. And you should know, this is just the beginning."

Klaus adjusted the weapon settings and threw the hollowed suitcase into the air. He pulled the trigger, and the suitcase shattered into pieces though the muzzle released nothing.

Naturally, the audience was shocked.

"The Elemental Gun could fire 5 types of elemental bullets. Lightning, fire, air, light, and ice. What you saw just now is high-pressure air."

Clicks echoed, and white light poured down on Klaus. The butt-headed journalists snapped pictures of him though the rules prohibited them from using flash cameras. Klaus grinned; for him, it was a good sign.

"This gun is much more powerful than ordinary conventional weapons. Many awakeners and monsters are immune from AR-15 bullets, but they won't withstand the damage from this gun. Because the Elemental Gun uses 'mana'."

Klaus took out a magazine and showed it to the butt-headed audience. It was a long box and contained a blue light.

"We use monster cores as ammunition. Elemental Gun absorbs its mana and converts it into elements. So far, no company has managed to do it other than us. The good news is that you can use Elemental Gun, awakener or ordinary person."

Click! Click! Click!

The click of cameras echoed as butt-headed journalists snapped pictures of Klaus, and securities came to a stop them. Meanwhile, the butt-headed bloggers were busy typing on their laptops.

"You might be wondering? How can human technology manipulate the elements when researchers say we can't do it for another 10 years? The answer is that our weapon is not technology. It's artificial arcana."

Loud filled the entire auditorium instantly. The audience was in disbelief.

Klaus had predicted this situation would happen. But the real surprise just began.

"Elemental Gun will hit the market for 30,000 dollars. This is not a promo price. This is our fixed price."

The audience erupted. They rose to their feet in standing applause to praise Klaus for his presentation.

The price of the Elemental Gun was far below that of the Caliburn X21 and Shiblade. Mors Industries won against its competitors. Especially Morning Star and House of Blacksmith.

Klaus told Laplace to remove the illusion, and the audience's heads returned to normal. He could clearly see their enthusiasm.

Elemental Gun's promotion at the Golden Hammer Expo was a success!
