Chapter 14: Deserted from afar
Chapter 14: Deserted from afar
"Really?" The half-dog demihuman questioned the goddess known as Kuso, and she answered her question as she stated.
"Yep, of course. This will be a long term investment for me to build a decent city here. So yeah, I think I have seen it."
The gang had walked out from the forest and seen the deserted city from afar of their very own point of view. With the fairy mentioned.
"This is our village, Kamakura. Sorry that we could not be able to give you any good facilities here."
Unlike typical dogs, she had her ear being lowered down naturally like a golden retriever. So the goddess could not react with anything when she saw her look to guess what was on her mind. That alone had made the goddess tried to read her mind, and she had patted the half-dog demihuman gently again with her statement continuing from her mouth.
"Don't worry, Reili. You are doing what you could do already. Besides, we need to think about this how we can restore this city without others' help. And for now, from what I have seen, you guys have a decent amount of forest resources that could be able to use. Do you guys had ever thinking about that before?"
Reili shook her head at the question from the goddess, and she replied to the goddess's question.
"Many of us had no choice but to become a thief, pirate, and so on, thanks to the lack of the knowledge and resources we had. So, we have no choice but to do this. And, this forest is too big for us to be clean and managed on."
"Corona." The goddess called Corona, the goddess soul in her former body that led him to reply.
"Yes?"
She requested him.
"Can you go with Reili and find four men who want to cut the trees. I will check the progress of the Cathedral building and once the Cathedral is done. I will ask the other twenty who I will pick later to demolish all of those places. And we will rebuild it again by using all of the resources we have."
Reili, who heard it, shocked as she said.
"Do you really want to help us at this far? How much money do you need for us to give? And we don't even have money anymore... Yet... I will serve my life for you in exchange if you want a pay!"
"I won't ask any pay here until this future city will be earning, for now. I will find a way to let you guys be able to cope on your own first. Now, you both should go to the city and find four men to help me with wood carpeting and three women to help me with cooking. I will provide the tools for them if they don't have the tools. We have to refrain from being a criminal now. Let's make this become second Australia*."
"Australia?" The god questioned the goddess in curiosity. And she explained to them.
"There is a place in my world called Australia. And do you know that their non-natives were England's prisoners who being sent to there?"
Both of them shook their head in the confusion that led the goddess smiled at them as she continued.
"Said, they are the exiled person as well like Reili and those who live in this deserted city. When I was thinking about this deserted city, it does remind me of that country's history. And if they can do it. Then why can we not? Am I right?"
They did not understand at all. But at least, they understand what Kuso wanted to convey. With the fairy stated in excitement.
"I do not know what Australia is, but I know that we have to build this city for everyone and the future. You have my word, Kuso. I will help you to gather every best person I could gather for you. And you too, right? Corona."
She smiled at her that led Kuso replied to the fairy,
"Don't worry. I always believe you, besides. You are my employer at all, and I have to obey what you have to say. Go ahead for telling me what do you want me to do?"
"Wait as you are observing the rebuilding on the Cathedral." Reili requested Kuso to go with the tiny god to find some helpers for him to do the carpentering job.
Three of them split as the fairy, and the god goes to the right, and the goddess was heading back towards the building site as she could see it, the top of the cathedral was on the progress of building to make the perfect shape of the roof.
And then, she returned to the chair where she was placed, and she sat on the chair, continuing with commanding her system.
"Document."
When Kuso looked at her head of display, she continued to command,
"Builder."
And then she started to showering her own thoughts that made her thinking if she could create something durable and lightweight for those carpenters as she murmured,
"What kind of materials that are lightweight but durable... Diamond? It is too costly... Titanium? I don't know if they have that material on this world before."
"Hmm...." The goddess continued to think with herself, trying to scroll the words from her point of view up and down.
"Muscovite? Platinum? Aluminum?"
She kept scrolling up and down until she realized something that she only knows the name as she remembered when she was a human, her laptop was made a material that she mentioned as.
"Carbon?"
