Reincarnated as an Energy with a System

Chapter 1607: Decision

Chapter 1607: Decision

Ning was happy to see that the Major General was not a piece of shit who would hide the

information to himself so he could remain a leader of the people and enjoy his life as the man who mattered the most among these people.

Instead, he genuinely wanted to help people.

That was made apparent when just two days after receiving the message, he made the announcement of the truth to all of the cities.

The people were in shambles after learning the truth, learning that their origin did not begin on one of these moons, but rather on another planet that was nearly half a solar system away.

They were more than surprised to learn of the truth, and soon conversations began around what they had to do now.

There were a decent amount of people who wanted to go, but an equally good amount of people who wanted to remain. This was their home now, so they did not want to return to a place that would be foreign to them.

There was also the conversation about Spark or rather its lack of in the other Planet. They understood that Spark would not fall into the Planet, and thus they would all lose what they had.

They absolutely had to have Spark.

The debate was large enough that it even reached the top of the military. Many of the Generals were against returning, while many wanted to go to the planet.

It was fun to notice that the people who wanted to go were the ones who were either tired of their work, close to retiring or just hadn't used their powers in a long time.

The ones that wanted to stay were the ones that had worked so hard to get to where they were and had been hoping to go higher.

Redaime, for one, wanted to stay as she saw no reason why they couldn't not return.

"What do you say, Ning? Do you wish to stay or go to the planet?" she asked Ning when they were gathered for a meeting.

There were a few other Captains in the room and dozens of lieutenants.

Ning shrugged. "I think we should go back," he said.

Redaime was surprised. "I thought you of all people would want to remain, given how incredible your powers are."

"I think they are fine," Ning said. "Doesn't mean that I should stay."

"That planet will have no Spark. You will be a regular person," she told him.

Ning smiled. "What's wrong with that?" he asked.

Redaime wasn't sure what to say.

"You saw the thing that the Major General showed us. Those moving images," Ning said.

"Movies, you mean," Redaime said. "We already know what that is. It is written on one of the relic books."

"Oh," Ning said, genuinely surprised. "Movies, then. You saw the movies and how great that place was. We can live out in the sunlight without having to worry that it will burn us. We can jump into water where we can drown. There are plants that grow on their own, wind that blows on its own."

Redaime sighed. "But it will make the people irrelevant. What is a Breather supposed to do in a place where air is everywhere? What is a Soaker supposed to do where water is everywhere? They will feel useless."

"That's not a very good argument," Ning said. "We will all be useless. We won't have Spark."

"We're taking some with us though, so at least it will be there while we transition to living on the planet. But until then, most would be useless.

"They'll find something else to do. This is no different than them being Sparkless. What is a Soaker supposed to do once they are Sparkless? Nothing. They find another job. Once they go to the planet, they will find another job as well."

The other few joined in the conversation, putting their own opinions forth. Listening to all of them, they were mostly scared of their own irrelevancy.

Change was scary, and this was the most major change these people were going to see in hundreds of years.

The Major General deciding to show the movies to the general public had a lot of positive effects on their mindset to go back to the Planet. They saw what they were missing and were more than looking forward to getting it all back.

More and more people decided on what they wanted to do, and soon it was all put to a vote. Hundreds of thousands of people came to the cities to put in their opinions on what they wanted to do.

The vote was taken, and 3 days later, the answer was confirmed.

With a staggering 73% of the total vote, the people voted to return to the planet.

And so, the preparations were made.

There was still a long time before they were to go back. Wream had to go around the planet once, and at the same time, the planet they were going to had to go around the sun as well.

The time when they two were the closest was still months far away, so people began working toward that date.

The main thing that was the most necessary for all of this was Spark. They planned on bringing Spark back with them, so they began making more Spaceships that were simply to carry Spark back with them.

While the people on the moon made that preparation, Ning manipulated the people in Mexol to believe that people had been noticed on the moon, who had remained from the time they had come back.

He made it so that some of the people there had sent messages to the people on the moon, and they had replied back that they would be coming.

So, everyone was well in preparation to receive the branch of people that were left behind so long ago.

Ning could finally rest easy now, knowing that he had done all that needed to be done, and everything else could be left to time.
