Chapter 12 - First Evolution Part2
Chapter 12 - First Evolution Part2
Qin Hua sighed and re-read the evolution options, again and again, several times over.
She just couldn't believe what was right in front of her eyes.
Every single one of the four options looked overpowered and awesome.
How cool would it be to breathe out flames or unleash demonic powers!!!
Qin Hua almost drooled looking at the list.
This definitely looked like a tipping point in her dog life, something that could determine her entire growth, potential, and her future.
Unfortunately, no matter what she evolved into, it looked like she would still be only a dog, albeit a more powerful one.
[Hmmm… It looks like the Shadow hound and the Vampiric hound options will have the highest growth potential in the future.]
[But dammit I just cannot deal with sucking someone's blood. Let's go with the Shadow hound option.]
[Even if I am just a cute little house pet, who is probably never going to be involved in anything violent, I can still think of a few good uses for this evolved form. Mu Ha Ha Ha.]
Little did she know that her life would be indefinitely wrecked in a mere few minutes, to be completely drenched in blood and violence.
Qin Hua licked her lips greedily and selected the Shadow hound option.
[How dare those Qin family idiots poison and kill their own kith and kin.]
[I am going to work hard and summon some ghosts from the shadow world, just to haunt those assholes.]
[I am coming for you jerks! Hmph.]
While Su Yan, Lu Chen, and Alex were huddled up trying to figure out a plan of action, Qin Hua's soul happily basked in a warm glowing light.
[Congratulations. Your soul has been successfully mutated and the evolution is in progress]
[Congratulations. You have unlocked a new skill - Blending into darkness]
[Congratulations. You have unlocked a new skill - Leech Bite]
[Waaahhh… So cool. I can do magic now??]
Qin Hua impatiently opened her status screen to check out the new skills.

Qin Hua gazed at the mouth-watering skills and satisfactorily nodded.
Though she might have preferred something cooler like summoning an undead, she was quite satisfied with what she got for the time being.
While she was thoroughly lost in her own world, everything on the outside was turning crazy.
Lu Chen again tried calling Mr. Kim using Su Yan's phone and the phone still rang right outside the jammed stairwell door.
The trio looked at each other in frustration, and Lu Chen was just about to call the police hotline for help when a loud bang echoed on the other side of the door.
"Someone is actually there on the other side of the door! Finally!!"
Both Lu Chen and Su Yan heaved a sigh of relief thinking some help had arrived.
But boy were they wrong…
"Hello. Could you please try and open the door from the other side? It looks as if it is locked or jammed from that side."
Lu Chen shouted through the metallic door hoping to communicate with their stranger on the other side.
But the other side didn't exactly respond… At least no words were spoken.
Rather the request was answered by even louder banging.
And with every second, the banging started getting louder and louder.
As if that was not enough, the three of them also heard some sort of muffled growling noises from the other side in between the loud banging.
"What the hell is that??" Alex clapped her hands forcefully on her cheeks. She was trying to wake up from this hellish nightmare.
Suddenly, all three of them felt relieved that the door was sturdily jammed and holding steady even amidst the crazy banging.
Just when they heaved a sigh of relief, a loud punch reverberated and this time a fist imprint appeared on the metallic door.
"How… Just how can someone punch through this thick metallic door?" Lu Chen stammered stepping back, with dread and fear in his eyes.
"Is that even a human on the other side??" Alex was also scared out of her wits.
The banging on the other side of the metallic door only got harder and harder, so hard that the hinges on the door were now shaking.
The door looked like it was going to give out any time now.
