Chapter 19 The Young Nightmare
Splash!
Water splashed as the massive Mountain Toads finally left the sea.
After hours of traveling through the Mountain Toads, to the relief of the criminals, the super Academies that previously imprisoned them did not send search parties to go after them immediately.
This once again showed the young Nightmare's genius. Not even the super Academies expected their envoy to fail the mission of bringing the criminals back.
They already experienced so many smooth retrievals from the Nightmare Beast Island that this sudden setback took them off-guard.
Apart from the super Academies though, there were other dangers at sea. Not all of the Mountain Toads made it to land safely.
With the experienced superhumans who could pilot them and use them to their fullest potential gone, most of the criminals still ended up dying at sea.
The few that survived were all lucky. Those that survived of course included the White Crane and the Afro Pugilist who just fought a great battle.
After finally setting their foot on land, both of them lay on the floor and bath in the sun a bit before the White Crane finally spoke. "I guess this is the end of our road together bouncing from one super prison to another".
"Hahaha, you mad dog!" The Afro Pugilist laughed loudly and remarked. "I always knew I was going to escape that shitty prison; the only question was when it would f*cking happen".
"I'm gone!" All of a sudden, the Afro Pugilist stood up and started leaving.
The White Crane was stunned. "Not even a goodbye".
"F*ck you!"
The White Crane was speechless, in the end, he also laughed. "Wherever you go, watch out for the kid, I believe he'll break out soon".
The Afro Pugilist did not reply but the White Crane continued nonetheless. "I don't fear his talent and strength, what I fear most is his unnatural maturity and intelligence for his age".
He sighed. "The kid is a beast!"
…
The Gwen Shelter, the Elementalist Academy building…
The Gwen Shelter had academies for all 3 main classes in Planet Darvis. Both the Pugilist and Summoner Academy buildings were erected deep inside the shelter, the Elementalist Academy was the only one that was built close to the sea.
The cry of an eagle suddenly reverberated through the skies as the sentries guarding the massive gate of the Elementalist Academy looked up.
On looking up, they saw a massive Golden Eagle flying through the skies. The odd thing though was the 2 humans who each grabbed one of the eagle's legs tightly as they flew closer to the academy.
The Captain of the sentries was about to order his subordinates to get ready to attack but he stopped the next moment, stunned. "Is that…, the Dirt Eater?"
"Yes, it's f*cking me! Let me in brother, don't make this more embarrassing".
"…" The Sentry Captain was left speechless. "Umm, ok".
Just 5 minutes after they arrived, the news of the Dirt Eater and the Blind Bandit's mission failure spread throughout the whole academy and beyond.
Both Grade E superhumans sat before the Headmaster of the Gwen Shelter Elementalist Academy, one of the few Grade D superhumans in the shelter.
This powerful Elementalist who had the same Afro hairstyle as the Afro Pugilist had a weird facial look. His disproportionate eyes and unsmiling face made the atmosphere all the more awkward before he finally spoke.
"You are both here to report about your failure?" His eyebrows raised.
"No sir, we came to report about the true strength and potential of the little kid Summoner who caused our failure". The Blind Bandit spoke with all seriousness, making the headmaster's eyebrows raise all the more.
"A kid caused a complete wipeout…?"
"He's no kid!" The Dirt Eater was quick to butt in as he stood up to gesticulate wildly with his arms. "I can testify headmaster, that kid is a man, trust me, that kid is a man!"
"A bonafide man, he's definitely no kid".
The Dirt Eater clicked his tongue in regret. "Only if I had the chance to check his underpants and see his rod then I'll be sure".
"…" The headmaster was speechless.
"Ahem…" The Blind Bandit interjected again. "In essence, Legolas may be a kid but his mentality and maturity are definitely not those of a kid's".
"He is super smart, dangerous, talented, and ruthless. He has qualities of a Summoner who had spent centuries learning and honing his skills to master the trade, he's definitely not simple".
"What is your point?" The headmaster asked.
"My point is that Legolas is not simple, he should be watched".
The headmaster chuckled. "Just because you can't accept your loss to a kid, you both are shameless enough to bring these ridiculous excuses".
The Blind Bandit sighed in resignation before standing up. "That's all sir".
As for the Dirt Eater, he was reluctant to give up. "Headmaster, just give me the opportunity to catch and measure his rod and balls underneath his pants, you'll be convinced".
"Get out of my office!"
Once they left, the headmaster's face turned red like a tomato. "Perverts!"
…
Legolas escaped after 5 hours of journeying through the sea.
After the sea sprint that he forced the Mountain Toad to embark on, once the Toad arrived on land, it was completely exhausted as it lay down tiredly.
After climbing down from its massive frame, Legolas patted it twice to express his gratitude before he picked up his bag and left.
The Mountain Toad just needed a few hours to fully recover, and it was completely capable of taking care of itself in the wild.
During the past few months, Legolas made a lot of plans but his ultimate plan was still to find the cause of his reincarnation.
After getting into the grey world and after reading the letter of the so-called God of Games, he confirmed that he needed to get stronger to know more about his reincarnation but he didn't bet all his hopes on the God.
While getting stronger to meet with the God of Games, he would not relent, his curiosity would push him to try his best without the God to know the truth.
As he thought of the future, Legolas felt his blood boiling hot.
