Chapter 716: Chapter 710: The Taste of a Snack Street
Chu Molin looked up and nodded. Indeed, that was the case. No matter what kind of place it was, it still held something novel and distinct from others.
“True, I wonder who owns this restaurant? Its innovative concept is indeed an eye-opener. It’s no wonder their business is booming,” Chu Molin commented.
“Yeah, just wondering how the taste would be. If it’s good, I’ll come here often.” Qin Xue replied with a sweet smile to Chu Molin.
“Sure.” Chu Molin answered with an indulgent smile. This wasn’t a big deal. If she wanted to come, they’d come.
“Xue Ling, just tell us what you want to eat. Don’t be shy.” Qin Xue thought that since they’ve come out, they might as well enjoy a good meal. It was too bad that every time she yearned for food, she couldn’t get it in their world.
“Okay, don’t worry, Qin Xue, I won’t stand on ceremony.” Xue Ling responded and she indeed didn’t hold back. She ate so much that it was a wonder everything fit into her petite stomach.
“Did you come to the Imperial Capital for an official post after you graduated, Chu Molin?” Qin Xue queried.
“Yes, that’s right. I’ve been appointed as the Deputy Director at XX Research Institute,” Chu Molin answered after a pause.
“Wow, that’s impressive! Is there a Deputy Director as young as you?” Qin Xue asked, remembering that Xie Jun, was older than him, making Chu Molin possibly the youngest Deputy Director if he took the role.
“You’re looking at one right now.” Chu Molin chuckled, wondering what she was getting at. He had already told her that he was appointed as Deputy Director, yet she still asked. Must be intentional.
“Yeah, what an honor, I’m going to be the wife of a Director soon.” Qin Xue chuckled and said teasingly.
“I’ll make you a higher-ranked official’s wife in the future,” Chu Molin replied, looking at his somewhat ambitious wife. He had never met anyone who could express their desires so boldly.
“Great, remember you’ve promised. Don’t break your words,” Qin Xue responded, believing that a person with goals would always have motivation, so she didn’t deny his promise.
“I said it, and I’ll stick to my word. I want to make my wife the happiest woman in the world.” The words rolled effortlessly off Chu Molin’s tongue.
“Did you have honey today? Your words are so sweet.” Qin Xue laughed and teased him.
“Indeed, the honey was sweet and delicious.” Chu Molin replied, his gaze fixed on his wife’s moving lips.
Qin Xue noticed his gaze. Oh well, typical men, always straying towards that subject, no matter what you talked about. So, there were times when she really didn’t know how to continue a conversation with him.
“Wow, it smells so good!” Said Qin Xue, sniffing the air. Just then, the waiter brought over the food they had ordered.
“Sir, madam, here’s the food you ordered. Please enjoy. Oh, we’re also offering a free dish for you to try. Please let us know what you think of it. Your feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you.” The waiter put a dish of pickled radish on the table. Its translucent redness was quite attractive.
“Okay, thank you.” Qin Xue looked at the dishes she liked and felt something strange in her heart. There seemed to be something happening that she wasn’t aware of.
However, nothing now could stop her from eating. Apart from sleeping, eating was her major interest, and now of course, there was also her child.
Once the waiter had left, Qin Xue couldn’t wait and picked up her chopsticks, taking a bite. Indeed, it was delicious, but the familiar taste brought tears to her eyes.
This taste was too familiar. It was the popular flavor from the street of snacks near their university. Whenever she was around school, there were always student-favorite snack shops. She was no exception to this rule.
