Chapter 54 - 54 Who is the Child's Father?
Chapter 54: Chapter 54 Who is the Child’s Father?
“Mm.” Abigail kept her head down and made a soft sound of agreement.
She didn’t want to give birth either, but when she came through, Abigail Green had already given birth. What could she do about it?
“Where’s the child’s father?” Kelly looked at Abigail with concern. This plump girl looked so easy to deceive; she was probably bullied by some bad guy.
Abigail saw the sympathy in Kelly’s eyes, opened her mouth, and muttered timidly, “I can’t say.”
“You… Sigh, so where is the child?” Kelly had noticed these past few days that Abigail really liked children. She treated Teddy as if he were her own. There must be some other reason if she had given birth; she would never abandon her child.
“His family took him away,” Abigail said truthfully.
Kelly heard it and sighed softly, as she had expected. “You silly child, your dad doesn’t know about such a big thing?”
“This… My mom passed away early, and my dad doesn’t like me much,” Abigail whispered awkwardly.
“What a sin, you’re so young.” Kelly muttered sympathetically. She had heard a bit about the Green family’s affairs recently and knew that this plump girl was actually the Green family’s rich lady.
But a rich lady had fallen to the level of a nanny, and the father didn’t care at all. It showed she had no status at home.
As the saying goes, when there’s a stepmother, there’s a stepfather.
The eldest daughter of the Green family was not a low-key person, and her marriage with Master Brandon was well-known. But no one cared about the younger daughter. Despite such a big issue, even her own father didn’t know.
“Kelly, please don’t tell Grandfather Piers and the others… What if they think I’m not decent and don’t let me be with Teddy anymore?” Abigail’s innocent big eyes looked up, and she gently tugged Kelly’s sleeve with her plump little finger.
Kelly’s heart softened immediately upon meeting Abigail’s watery eyes. She patted Abigail’s chubby hand lightly, “Alright, alright, you little troublemaker. You have to be more careful in the future. Don’t be deceived again. Men aren’t always trustworthy; you have to watch what they do, not just listen to what they say…”
Abigail nodded obediently.
“Such a good child, sigh, how did you end up meeting such a little bastard!” Kelly looked at Abigail’s well-behaved appearance and couldn’t help but curse the little jerk.
She knew Abigail was young and reckoned the other party wasn’t much older.
After spending a lot of time together, Kelly found that although Abigail was plump, she had glowing fair skin, that tender kind of pink. With her big, black, peach blossom eyes, and being so sensible, she was just lovable.
“So, what are you going to do in the future?” After cursing, Kelly couldn’t help but care about Abigail.
Abigail gave a wry smile, “I should go back to school.”
“Sigh, that little bastard!”
Hearing this, Kelly started cursing again.
Study room.
Brandon. Little Bastard. Piers, “Ah-choo!”
Pullan hurried forward, “Master Brandon, have you caught a cold? What should we do? You can’t get sick now. Dr. Foster said you need to stay healthy before the surgery, not a single error can happen. What should we do? I’ll take you to the hospital now, hurry…”
“Shut up!” Brandon rubbed his suddenly itchy nose, “Go outside.”
“But your illness…”
Brandon looked up, his amber eyes gave Pullan a cold glance.
Pullan immediately shut up and obediently left the room, still worried. Would Master Brandon’s illness affect the surgery? Should he ask the doctor?
Recalling what had been said about him, Brandon touched the wound in his abdomen that was tugged by his sneeze and remembered he needed to change his bandage today.
Since the DNA results came out, Brandon hadn’t seen Abigail in days. He suddenly felt curious. What was that little fatty doing now?
