Reborn as a Transcendent

Chapter 561: She Thought She Could Be Saved (Laugh)

Chapter 561: She Thought She Could Be Saved (Laugh)

Across from her, Allie remained unconscious, her breathing faint yet steady. She was deeply asleep.

With a wry smile, Yaeger stepped out of the bathing pool and lifted Allie. Remaining in the cooling water wasn't good for her health. Besides, Yaeger had other urgent matters to attend to.

Yaeger dried Allie with a towel, dressed her in a bathrobe, and then carried her out of the bathroom. Upon opening the door, Yaeger was greeted by the sight of two beautiful girls engaged in an intense tussle.

In truth, it was quite an enchanting scene.

‘Not you two again!' Yaeger was momentarily speechless upon recognizing the familiar receptionists.

"Ahhhhh!" Mirroring their previous encounter, the two suddenly screamed in unison and dashed away. Their screams were almost indistinguishable from one another.

"Is it just me, or does Jade City have an unusually high number of lesbians?" Shaking her head, Yaeger carried Allie back to the lab and gently laid her on the bed.

Glancing at the time, Yaeger noted there was still a while before the auction started.

"Clearly, there's not enough time to repair my equipment. I might as well stay here a bit longer." She gazed at Allie's serene face, mumbling to herself.

Stirred by Yaeger's voice, Allie slowly opened her eyes. Silence enveloped the room as their eyes met. Yaeger remained quiet. Allie, however, was deep in thought. She glanced down at her own body. Clad only in her bathrobe, her skin was barely damp yet moist. Clearly, someone had meticulously wiped her down.

"Ahhhhh!" Overwhelmed by the thought, Allie let out a startled scream. Her cheeks flushed a delicate pink as she blushed from head to toe. She realized that the stunning beauty before her had meticulously cleaned her.

Every inch of her had been thoroughly and carefully tended to. And perhaps, just maybe…

The more she dwelled on it, the deeper her embarrassment grew, making her wish she could disappear into a hole. Her previously calm and collected demeanor had completely vanished.

Had something actually happened, perhaps she wouldn't be feeling so mortified now. Regrettably, even if something significant had occurred, it would have been after she lost consciousness.

This was the reason behind her current feelings of helplessness and deep embarrassment.

"Why are you embarrassed? You're an adult," Yaeger remarked calmly.

Allie, momentarily stunned, rolled her eyes in response.

"Anyway, do you feel better physically?" Yaeger asked, smoothly changing the subject.

"Why are you so good at this?"

"Good at what?"

‘Changing the subject!' thought Allie, rolling her eyes in exasperation. Immediately afterward, she noticed an unusual sensation within her body. She felt relaxed, incredibly so. It was as though her body had undergone complete rejuvenation.

However, upon closer inspection, she realized that her body was still significantly damaged. Nevertheless, it was undeniably an improvement over her previous condition. At the very least, she felt substantially better.

"How is it?" Yaeger asked, noting Allie's silence.

"Good, very good," Allie responded, nodding emphatically. "I haven't felt this relaxed in ages. It's as if I've been freed from a longstanding burden," she added.

"That's good. Make sure to rest early tonight. We'll continue tomorrow," Yaeger instructed.

Allie's recovery required gradual and consistent treatment; rushing it would be futile. Yaeger estimated that, at best, she could fully heal her in just two days.

"We… continue tomorrow?" Allie asked, her face tinting slightly with a blush.

Aware that the same embarrassing treatment would be repeated tomorrow, her heart began to race uncontrollably. She experienced a mix of anticipation and anxiety.

‘If this keeps up, I'll fold!'

The idea of falling head over heels for a much younger woman felt both embarrassing and shameful to her.

Suddenly, the system notification sounded.

Ding! Allie's Favorability towards you has increased by 3,000 points.

Ding! Allie's Favorability towards you has increased by 5,000 points.

Ding! Allie…

The system notifications continued, indicating that they had become close friends. Yaeger blinked, puzzled.

‘Looks like her favorability increased a bit too much, doesn't it? I'm just here to cure her illness!'

"I'll have to rely on you again tomorrow," Allie said as she sat up and placed her hands on her smooth thighs. Her crimson eyes shimmered with emotion as she gazed gently at Yaeger.

Her cheeks were flushed, and her slightly damp silver hair draped in front of her chest, enhancing her adorable appearance.

‘C*ck, come back quickly!' Yaeger felt a surge of intense desire, an overwhelming urge to pounce like a hungry wolf. Regrettably, the opportunity wasn’t right for her to act on her impulses just yet.

Yaeger deeply missed the presence she felt was now missing. Yet, she also felt a sense of relief.

‘Since my feelings towards women remain, the Dream Transformation hasn't overwhelmed me yet. There's still hope!'

"Huh?" Allie tilted her head, puzzled.

Regaining her composure, Yaeger responded, "Alright, I'll be here first thing tomorrow."

"I look forward to it," Allie replied with a gentle smile. She seemed much more at ease now compared to earlier. Perhaps it was a newfound understanding or the increase in her favorability towards Yaeger that eased her demeanor.

Regardless, this development was beneficial for Yaeger.

"By the way, Allie, there's something I need your help with," Yaeger said, recalling the original reason for her visit today.

"What do you need?"

"Here's what happened…" Yaeger detailed her plans to modify the auction house's trading procedures to Allie.

"I see. You need help designing a simplified trading system? No problem. Just provide some magic crystals and substantial capital, and I'll have it ready in three days," Allie responded confidently.

While she might not excel in many areas, when it came to innovation, no one in the Jade Empire could rival her prowess. Indeed, not a single person could match her level of expertise!

"Alright, I'll make arrangements to get those for you," Yaeger nodded in agreement.

In fact, she knew of a better candidate who could design an entirely new trading system. That candidate was Little Blue. Unfortunately, Little Blue and the [City of Chaos] had entered the real world and were unable to return for the time being.

Otherwise, with Little Blue's skills and efficiency, she could have completed everything within half a day. This wasn't to say Allie was incompetent; rather, Little Blue's abilities were simply exceptional.

After a brief chat, Yaeger left the Magic Academy and returned to the auction house's appraisal room.

"I… I feel like I'm dying…"

Upon entering, Yaeger found the appraisers sprawled on the ground, their faces pale as they muttered incoherently. They appeared as though they were on their last breath.

"Enough with the theatrics. Get up," Yaeger said, clearly annoyed.

Such poor acting could never fool someone as astute as her.

"Haha…" An appraiser rose to his feet, his face flushed as he let out a forced laugh. They were clearly exhausted but far from death's door.

"Have you completed the tasks I assigned?" Yaeger extended her hand, expecting results.

Without hesitation, he handed over the manifest filled with the collected data respectfully. Yaeger quickly scanned the document. In less than a minute, she had absorbed all the details.

"Why is there missing information on the final item listed?" She indicated a sketch of a plant depicted on the final page. The sketch resembled a small stone tablet.

"Miss Flower, we're honestly unsure what this item is…" an appraiser admitted as he picked up a small black stone tablet from the table.

Upon seeing the stone tablet, Yaeger's pupils narrowed in sudden confusion.

‘Odd. Did I ever bring something like this back here?'
