Rebirth: The Villainous Young Master Doesn't Want to Follow the Script

Chapter 82: Unexpected Message

************

LOCATION: ERHAN VILLAGE, NORTHERN PART OF CLIFFTON EMPIRE

***ADVENTURERS GUILD BRANCH***

"Hey, how about we take some commissions from here? We're almost out of budget for the week though."

The world-hopper looked at his companion when a sudden invitation came from him, and Eclipse raised an eyebrow because of how lame his excuses were because he could see how nervous Arico was while playing with the mug in his hands.

He crossed his arms around his chest and snickered; "Just tell me the truth. Is there something that you wanted to discuss right now or are you hiding something from me?"

'I had known him for over a millennium and still, his way of roundabout conversation is still the same.'

Arico, on the other hand, got caught in action and he sighed as he totally forgot how observant Eclipse was and he doesn't know how to address the issue because....

This is related to the Main House....

'I don't know why they only choose to contact now after three years. Is the issue from before took that long? Three years from this worldline, in the Main House, I bet it would be around thousands of years had passed since then.'

Arico thought as he didn't know where to start this conversation without making him lose his temper. The Slayer Agent could imagine Eclipse's reaction if he just suddenly started this conversation.

Eclipse, on one hand, sighed as he shrugged off his shoulders and said nonchalantly; "Just tell me already. It depends on the topic; I won't be mad."

Arico, looking for an assurance within Eclipse's statement as he asked once more with his cautious eyes; "Promise?"

'Hey, I just need to make sure since it's hard to coax a temperamental baby with deep grudges as I had learned from the experience.'

The Slayer Agent thought as he kept on checking Eclipse's reaction for that moment.

'Ha! The nerve of this guy! Is he testing my patience?!'

The world-hopper thought as he twitch in anger and his patience almost ran out because of how Arico seemed to be stalling some time from what he was about to say but he took a deep breath to calm his nerves as he didn't want to be the unreasonable one here.

"Are you going to tell me or what?"

'Yikes! That temperamental of his is truly scary for someone like me who were exposed to most of the dangerous missions back at the Main House System!'

That tone of voice of his, devoid of any emotion coming from his lips as his cold lilac-colored eyes are now staring back at Arico with a blank state and the Slayer Agent almost wet his pants because of Eclipse's familiar cold gaze.

"Okay! Okay! I'll talk! Stop staring at me with those eyes of yours! Geez! It gives me goosebumps that could make me have a heart attack like that!"

Arico ranted, almost at the point of tantrum like a child and Eclipse just boredly stared back at the big baby man who acts like a child as if someone took his sweets.

'Ha! If this man wasn't my companion and a close acquaintance, I'll buried him six feet underground just for him to speak as I don't like things getting delayed for no apparent reason!'

The world-hopper could tell that Arico wanted to tell him something, but it seems that the Slayer Agent is contemplating how to start with the conversation or how to handle the topic he was about to say.

"Tsk! Quit the drama, will you? Just tell me already because of you stalled another minute, I swear to--"

Before Eclipse could even continue his sentence or much preferably, threaten him further, Arico cut his off immediately and hurriedly said; "It's about an urgent situation back at the Main House!"

When Eclipse heard those words, he stopped for a moment as he looked at the Slayer Agent skeptically, but the world-hopper knew that Arico wouldn't just say these words out of nowhere without thinking about it properly.

Since Arico knew that Eclipse didn't want to hear any news regarding back at the Main House for a moment and this passed three years, the world-hopper avoided discussing that topic.

'An urgent situation back at the Main House? What could that be?'

Honestly, the Platinum world-hopper wasn't mad at what happened back at the Main House System just because of some minor issues in regards about that unexpected situation.

'I just need some time to cool myself down because of what I learned but I think that's only a partial knowledge that Silver told me before that system went into hibernation process because of that sudden phenomenon.'

Three years ago, because of the sudden error from their system interface, Eclipse's connection within the Main House System became unstable for a moment and when he tried to reconnect with his interface to check about the situation back at the Main House, it blocked him for no apparent reason.

Even Silver, after his system companion told him the true meaning of that incident, Silver went into hibernation process and Eclipse could no longer reconnect with Silver, even up until now, Silver is still in its slumber.

However, Eclipse should be thankful at least that even though his system interface seems to face a lot of system data errors, at least, some of his authorities as a Platinum world-hopper are still intact with him.

'Although I couldn't access within the System Archive for the last three years since the system interface is still undergoing some maintenance, I could only rely on Arico for a moment even though his system interface is also affected then but within this worldline, he is the only one that I could trust.'

Now that Arico said something about an urgent matter within the Main House, does it mean.... The system interface has been fixed?

"Your system interface had been fixed? Since when?"

Arico shook off his head as he said honestly; "My system interface hasn't been fixed yet."

The world-hopper raised an eyebrow because of that statement, and he knew that Arico won't lie about this because this man is sucks at lying, whenever he's in front of Eclipse.

"If your system interface haven't fixed yet then how do you talk about that urgent situation back at the Main House?"

He noticed that Arico was fumbling with his hands and mumbled something under his breath that Eclipse couldn't understand because of its gibberish sounds.

"What?"

"A-ahmmm.... asdfghjkl...."

'What is this f*cker talking about?!'

"Can't hear you, you know? Talk."

He almost ran out of patience and as he was about to burst out in anger and demand an answer, Arico's loud statement shook him to the core.

"The heck are you talking about?"
