Chapter 375 – He was even handsomer than he was in the book! (1)
They all belonged in the same circle and everyone knew about Liang Hua and his affairs. He was a nice guy and good to his friends. He had his bottom line and set of principles. He would make a good friend but not so much as a good husband. He was known to be a playboy and it was common to have three girlfriends at the same time. That was the reason that his ex-wife had divorced him and left for overseas after they had their finances straightened out.
Fang JunRong had struggled to get out of the trap called Li WangJin after her rebirth. She would have to be a complete idiot to fall right back into another one.
Liang Feng had never met Fang JunRong before but she had heard about her in the past. She tapped her niece on her forehead and stepped in to smooth the matters over. “You are already 18 years old. You shouldn’t say childish things like that anymore. Your dad is not good enough for Boss Fang.”
She was also making her stance clear that what Liang AnQi had said did not represent her idea. It was all silly talk from a child. She found that odd as well. Anqi was a little spoiled but she wasn’t the type who didn’t know what to say where. What had gotten into her today?
Fang JunRong said nonchalantly, “My daughter is the jealous kind and she would get jealous if she heard that. Besides, your mother wouldn’t appreciate that either. No mother would want their little padded jacket stolen by someone else.” Fang JunRong had no idea who Liang AnQi’s mother was but she figured she was most likely one of Liang Hua’s extramarital affairs.
Fang JunRong wasn’t the type who’d take it too seriously with someone who was still a child but she also wasn’t going to just not say anything. Even Liang AnQi’s father would not have said something like that to her face.
Liang AnQi’s look stiffened some then, sticking her tongue out and looking naïve and charming, she said, “I’m just joking.”
Fang JunRong just smiled at that comment. She chit chatted on and off with Liang Feng and she could feel Liang AnQi looked over at her from time to time the entire time. She seemed to have great interest in Fang JunRong.
The news conference commenced at exactly 9 AM. All of the cameras aimed at the stage and the flash lights flashed nonstop.
Jiang DeXian had yet to make his appearance. The current spokesperson for Qixing was Tang Yu, the vice president of Qixing.
Tang Yu could handle this situation with ease and could reply appropriately to some of the more pointed questions.
The media, however, was somewhat distracted. They didn’t come here early in the morning to meet with the vice president. They were here for the real boss behind Qixing.
Fang JunRong seriously suspected that Jiang DeXian only had Tang Yu take over this part of the news conference so he didn’t have to memorize the speech. She tried to picture how Jiang DeXian would look with the script in his hand, practicing and her lips curved upward uncontrollably.
She took a look at her watch. It was about time.
Sure enough, Tang Yu said three minutes later, “Jiang DeXian, our president, will give his speech now.”
Fang JunRong could feel the stir around her at that moment in time. Everyone in the front rows were well-known individuals, all belonging in their circle. All of them knew that Fang JunRong had an assistant who was better looking than a star in the past. In fact, some of them even worked through him when working with Meifang Corporation.
Was it the same person or just someone with the same name?
All of a sudden, Fang JunRong, who was sitting properly, felt that the looks from those around her was about to burn a hole in her.
Frowning slightly, she scanned over everyone and that reduced quite a bit of the looks. Many of them only stared at her because they were so shocked that they had lost control of themselves temporarily.
Regardless of whether this Jiang DeXian was Fang JunRong’s former assistant, they still couldn’t afford to offend Fang JunRong.
