Chapter 2369: Exit
Chapter 2369: Exit
Sam halted a few feet away from Yagrit.
Yagrit who is panting heavily and even felt a bit dizzy with blood loss, tried her best to be sane and sharp. She brandished her sword, held it with both her hands, barely managed to have a firm hold on it with her fingers gone.
She gritted her teeth and charged towards Sam.
Sam didn't dodge. He stood in the air, waiting for her to come to him. Yagrit aimed at his chest, trying to stab him.
Sam extended his hand, intending to catch the sword. At that moment, Yagrit suddenly let go of that sword. It was still coming at him, but she wasn't just holding it anymore. Instead she ducked past his hand and slapped it on his stomach.
Sam didn't even feel any pain.
However, he had a familiar force surrounding him. A force that he is very familiar with, that he often used. The spatial energy of a transference token.
Yagrit had a wide smile on her face. The time seemed to have slowed down. She could see everything in such a slow motion.
She could see the space energy manifesting around Sam. The energy spreading all over his body trying to envelop him and take him away from here. She could see it, she reveled in it. As she observed every hint of Sam, her eyes finally landed on his face. A grin, much more bright that her own, has spread on his face. This made her own smile froze and she felt that something is wrong.
The spatial energy that was just raging, suddenly seemed to have come to a halt. It still surrounded Sam, but it is not doing what it is supposed to do. Sam extended his hand slowly. Yagrit wanted to run, but her surrounding space froze her on the spot.
He held her by her throat and said.
"Just how stupid do you guys think I am? I am able to understand and know what's happening all over the pocket dimension, but you think I won't know what is happening in my own two formations? I won't know what the idiots that I saved have been doing?
Do you really think, I am stupid enough to leave such an open hole in the contract, and wouldn't consider that you vermin won't do anything with it?
And to think you would assume that you can make me move into a trap with a transference token of such inferior quality."
Yagrit had her eyes wide open. She was not even bothered that much by his clenching palm on her throat. Her shock was that big.
Because of all the things that she has seen in her life, the most impossible things, things that even the greatest of the men couldn't even fathom, she has never ever seen someone go on their merry way after using a transference token, without succumbing to the force.
Unless the energy level of the token is so small and minute compared to the strength and energy of the person who it was applied on, it can never be opposed.
Now, Sam not only not moved, but just stood there and grabbed her throat while making his grandstanding arrogant speech.
"So, how do you think it would have gone?
You lure me into the formation that I built, with those shabby modifications if I might add. You will encircle me along with a black skeleton and let the skeleton do the dirty job.
Lock the spatial nodes, you guys will make sure that I don't break out. While using the second formation to lock down, Hari and Rashma, who actually pose a threat to you.
Am I right?"
Yagrit didn't speak. It is not that the grip on her throat was too tight. She understood just from his grip, what he was aiming to do.
It is not that he cannot crush her throat. He just wanted to show that he can and chose not to. It is a display of his authority over her in a situation like this.
"Not a bad plan, but it is just too simple, too plain, too useless and dumb in its execution."
Yagrit's heart shook with every word of Sam's. Not just hers. The spectators also felt tense with every second. They have seen how Sam used specters and spatial markers to move around. They have seen how much control over the environment he exhibited, since the start. So, it is not like it never occurred to them that Sam might have caught on to their plan. But most of them, just hoped that he didn't since they haven't seen it.
But now...
They lost that hope and they are filled with trepidation.
Sam's eyes turned colder as he looked at Yagrit. The next moment, the spatial energy surrounding him, spread towards her and enveloped her as well. To her horror, she was also pulled into the spatial transference.
The next second, both of them disappeared there and reappeared in the middle of the black skeleton formation.
Drik, Yagrit's soon to be servant and the rest of them team are waiting intently for the arrival. When the sense the budding spatial fluctuations and saw two people coming out, instead of one, their eyes widened in horror.
Even before they could react, Sam tightened his grip on Yagrit's throat, and threw her over his shoulder into the black skeleton that just finished healing up.
"YAGRIT"
Her soon to be servant yelled and charged towards her.
"Stop it. You cannot leave your position." Drik tried to yell out loud as well. But for some reason, his voice didn't come up. It was low, almost like a whisper. All because the formation has changed a bit.
The killing intent that came along with the surrounding death energy, started getting sucked in at large amounts. It is so dense and powerful that it started manifesting in the air for them to see it with their naked eyes.
His voice and even breath was suppressed. His body felt so powerless. The black skeleton and Sam are the only ones who didn't feel any pressure from this. Instead they felt like they are at
home.
The black skeleton raged.
It stuck its hand through the heart of Yagrit, killing her in one shot. The second hand went into the servant's heart the very next moment. Two down.
Drik's team wanted to fight against the skeleton. They managed to do it until now, but they weren't able to.
They found out that the formation that has helped them and enabled them to fight against these skeletal creatures is now hindering them and is making it easier for the skeleton to kill
them.
When they tried to break through the formation and escape, they realized what they had planned has bitten them in their own ass. That too not a small bite.
Sam has tinkered with the formation without them knowing. It basically enabled the feature of restricting any people from leaving the formation. However, it didn't stop Sam.
Instead it focused on the team members.
Sam hovered in the air with the lightning fusion still active. He started throwing lightning bolts like a god throwing judgement on the mortals.
"SAM, LET US GO. LET ME GO. FORGIVE ME. I WAS COERCED."
Screams of begging started coming out. However, those who screamed were the first one to
be hit. Soon, the screams died down. Then the sound itself is down. All that was left inside was
Sam and the skeleton.
Sam snapped his fingers and the formation changed once again. The skeleton that raged until now started going down. It couldn't move. It froze on the spot as Sam rained it down with
silver lightning. He didn't hold back.
His body is in full fusion and the bloodline of the Raiju has been activated.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
He didn't use the bloodline attacks, but they are imbued with more force than any other normal attack that he has conjured.
As he did that, several metal cards flew over from his storage. They flew around and created a formation around him. When he conjured a silver lightning bolt, the surrounding death energy was injected into those cards and they converted it into the silver lightning bolts.
Now every lightning he conjured created six more. Seven lightnings at a time breaking down
the black skeleton.
The formation accelerated the healing process of the skeleton, before Sam broke it down. While everyone is watching, Sam crushed the skeleton to bits after it reached the final form.
The next moment, he snapped his fingers again. The skeleton that was being dealt with Hari's team and the Hari's team itself were brought into this formation.
Hari's team didn't have any knowledge of what happened.
But when they came, they saw all the corpses and the debris of the destroyed black skeleton.
Sam just kept on destroying the skeleton. Once it is done, another skeleton came out of
nowhere.
This continued until the last skeleton was dealt with.
As everyone that was left alive in the pocket dimension anticipated with a racing heart, a white light enveloped them, taking them away.
