Chapter 96
96 Comparison Is A Harsh Mentor
Reading Axel's reply, Allen couldn't help but chuckle.
"So this is what it felt like to be someone with all talents that have existed and will exist?"
Allen pondered to himself as he thought about the benefits he had received from receiving his starter pack from the chat group.
<Supreme Order> was a talent that allowed him to put all chaos into order. And since the chat group had labeled the talents of other <Supremes> as chaos, then the <Supreme Order> talent allowed him to possess all talents that have existed and will exist so that he can put all the talents of other <Supremes> into order.
An example would be the <Supreme Hacker> causing chaos in his world by hacking reality and changing some natural laws in his world. It would be difficult for a <Supreme> who didn't have any ability that allowed them to affect reality to stop the <Supreme Hacker>.
That was why the <Supreme Order> talent existed. It existed for that reason. Since it was all the <Supreme> talents combined into one, it would be tantamount to having no weakness and drawbacks in his <Supreme> talents while possessing all the counters of every <Supreme> talent.
If it was those trash protagonists who had received such talent, they could complain later on about everything being boring since there would be no one who could match his talents but Allen wasn't much of a trash protagonist.
For Allen, it was quite entertaining for him to have the talent that possessed all <Supreme> talents in existence. He wasn't like those trash protagonists who would complain about being overpowered.
He found it entertaining that he could flex his <Supreme Order> talent to his fellow chat group members and even his classmates and other <Supremes> in his world.
Allen knew that he was arrogant but so what? He deserved to be one after he had endured all of the sufferings in his life of not being talented.
He thought of his current situation as a higher being rewarding him for his sufferings. After all, even receiving the <Supreme Order> talent as his starter pack was already enough for him but he even received the Administrator Privilege.
It was like he had accumulated all of the luck in all of his past lives and current life to win the lottery and become the Administrator of the Alternate Multiverse Chat Group System.
If Allen didn't receive the <Supreme Order> talent, he would be concerned about the fact of him using all his luck just to become the Administrator of the Alternate Multiverse Chat Group.
But since he had the <Supreme Luckster> or <Supreme Lucky Individual> and <Supreme Chosen One> talent in his <Supreme Order> talent, he wasn't worried about using up all of his luck since those <Supreme> talents would allow him to replenish his luck.
As Allen thought of that, he continued relaxing on the sofa as he started reading the messages in the chat group.
[Self-Proclaimed Genius Goblin Hero: What's the point of becoming stronger when some bunch of sunflowers was not only stronger than me by a major realm and a few minor realms, but also the same level of intelligence as me?]
Reading Axel's question, Allen found it intriguing that Axel thought of himself as a genius when his level of intelligence was comparable to the prodigies in his world.
'Was Axel's mindset of him thinking of himself as a genius instead of a prodigy due to his status as a protagonist? The protagonist's aura must have altered his mindset to the point that he was oblivious of his true intelligence level. So instead of being a dense protagonist, he became a protagonist who underestimated his power.'
Thinking of that, Allen just sighed and decided not to change Axel's mindset and just let him be. Since it was the workings of his protagonist's aura, then it wasn't harmful to Axel since it might be future character development for him as a protagonist.
And besides, Allen thought that it was better to underestimate oneself than to overestimate oneself.
If Axel was overestimating himself, it would eventually harm him in the long run. After all, it would be a problem if Axel was too arrogant that he had overestimated his capabilities to the point that he had thought he could defeat all of the demon lords in his world with his current power level.
[Supreme Order (Admin): Just forget about it. Comparing yourself to others will only hurt you if you aren't better than the person you compared yourself with.]
[Supreme Order (Admin): Comparison is also a harsh mentor so as long as you don't think of it negatively and use it as a motivation to become better than the person you compared yourself with, you will eventually surpass the person you compared yourself with. But it doesn't mean the person you compared yourself with doesn't improve alongside you so if you can't surpass them, then it's not their problem that they also improved.]
Allen truly believed in what he had advised Axel since he was like that before he had received the <Supreme Order> talent.
Constantly being compared to his younger brother had pressured him before and he could tell from experience that it was the worst feeling ever.
The feeling of being too inferior to those you have compared yourself with was unpleasant.
What's the worst feeling than that was not you comparing yourself with others but others comparing yourself to others and remarking about your shortcomings to the person being compared to you.
That was why Allen advised Axel not to compare himself to others since if Axel didn't have a strong mentality, it would only hurt him.
But we are talking about Axel here, the existence of a prodigy protagonist. If Axel couldn't even accept harsh criticisms of comparing himself to others, then he wouldn't deserve being called a genius.
After all, every genius was compared to other geniuses so geniuses were already accustomed to the feeling of being compared to others.
[Self-Proclaimed Genius Goblin Hero: Thanks for the advice, Allen! I'll take it to heart.]
After the topic of comparing oneself to others was finished, the chat group members shifted to another topic.
[Time Manipulator Of The Apocalypse: Have any of you used the training room feature of the chat group?]
