Chapter 73 Nearing The Sun?

"What the…?" The immortal was stunned to see thousands of feathers slam into him, exploding upon contact as they shredded through his defensive barriers.

He hurriedly condensed a flying sword, sending it flying at Rhizen. But, it had only moved a metre when intense force churned into its tip, coursing through the rest of its body to shatter it into pieces, causing the immortal to cough out blood in response.

Apocalyptic Arts—Static Force (V)!

Rhizen layered transparent barriers around the immortal, ensuring that Static Force slammed into him no matter where he tried to move out from.

This was not to mention the Dust Wave gradually making its way into his body through his wounds, eating up his Spiritual Energy little by little.

"Are you my enemy too?" The immortal stared in anger as the flag he had taken out turned into dust in an instant, shocking him.

"Of course." Rhizen smirked as the Homing Feathers bombarded the enemy. The immortal had very little Spiritual Energy to begin with. So, Rhizen didn't take his chances to unleash strong attacks. He simply overwhelmed the opponent with a multitude of attacks.

"That's it!" The immortal screamed before taking out a seal that shone with a mysterious golden light, coursing with a suffocating might that slammed into Rhizen.

The immortal stared in disbelief as the golden light rapidly thin out, as if something was consuming it while it travelled towards Rhizen.

And, by the time it was a few metres from him, the golden light vanished entirely. Rhizen had erected multiple Static Force barriers before him, not to mention filling up the entire space with Dust Wave.

If another Horned Human were to be at the place, they would notice a swirling mass of concentrated mass around the immortal, as if he were a black hole and they were objects attracted into the black hole.

The immortal was already trapped in his position from the start. Now, it was only a matter of time before he was done for.

Rhizen didn't wish to take any chances as he slowly used the Dust Wave and Homing Feathers to eat through the immortal. With the immortal's trump card turned useless, he was exhausted, almost out of Spiritual Energy.

And as he defended against the attacks, the last of his power ran out. He hurriedly took out large chunks of Spiritual Stones out of his spatial ring in an effort to recover his Spiritual Energy through them, but before he could do so, the Dust Wave latched onto them, eating through them easily.

Moreover, the Homing Feathers and the attacks from the Static Force gradually sent the immortal closer to the sun, using the intense heat emitted by it to pressure him further.

But surprisingly, the immortal grinned all of a sudden as his seal lit up with energy. He revealed his palm, displaying a tiny flame, akin to a candle's that rapidly began to siphon the flames of the sun, using it to revitalise himself, "Thanks for playing to my tune."

"I see, that is impressive indeed." Rhizen nodded, staring at the tiny flame as he realised this was the immortal's true trump card. If he tried to kill the other party in a hurry, the flame would have retaliated against him.

But as he pressed gradually, the immortal had no other choice but to reveal it prematurely to save himself. And now that he did so, Rhizen smiled, pointing his hand at the flame to unleash a terrifying power.

Fusion Arts—Devouring Heaven!

"No!" The immortal was terrified, feeling his meridians contract all of a sudden as the power of the mysterious flame was extracted out of him and devoured by the massive Whale.

The extraction of the flame turned him completely weak as the Dust Wave vaporised him, annihilating him completely.

"Guh!" Rhizen in his whale form grunted in pain, feeling a searing heat throughout his body as a result of the flame he had just consumed.

Devouring Heaven not just stole energy from the opponent but also converted it into a form suitable for him. But, the process was never easy, bringing him intense pain every time. This was why he only used it when necessary.

And now, the mysterious flames were being converted by his Nacre into a form suitable for him. But, it wasn't easy as Rhizen struggled. He then expended the remainder of Coincidental Luck siphoned from Xuna, using it to ease up the process as he noticed a few items remaining behind after the immortal had been reduced to ash.

They were tougher than his body and hence needed a lot more time for his Dust Wave to get rid of.

Rhizen stared at them, thinking for a moment before straining himself as he used Devouring Heaven on them too, causing his Nacre to act upon them as they were rapidly being converted.

And unlike before, with the items, things became easier as the flame melted through them, combining into a whole that was refined in the Whale's belly.

Moreover, as he continued to convert them, Rhizen noticed a wisp of the sun's flames flow into his mouth and fuel the flame burning within, surprising him. Thoughts clashed in his mind as he felt the possibility of a breakthrough thanks to this.

The immortal wasn't just a normal cultivator, but a System Host too. And now, his System had been devoured by Rhizen, destroyed and was now being converted into a form suitable for his use.

He closed his eyes, sensing his strength growing by a fraction as his Origin Space became solidified further. The flames refined it, also raising the purity of the Nacre and Mutated Beasts living in the Origin Space.

Furthermore, the energy from the sun constantly funnelled into it, being rapidly turned into a flame that reinforced his Nacre.

Yulna exited the world by this time, noticing that the immortal had already been killed, grunting in anger upon seeing Rhizen growing stronger right before her eyes.

She didn't even bother staying behind, turning around to return to the world, hiding herself even further, intending to hasten her growth to catch up to him eventually.

Rhizen didn't bother with her for the time being, focusing on his powers as the gigantic Whale approached closer and closer to the sun, directly drawing in tiny wisps of its flames, absorbing them to reinforce himself.

Moreover, even though there formed statics, he was able to sense the home world of PADS, noticing something stir up there.

A moment later, he was surprised once the flame condensed in his body, noticing his home world synchronise with him, causing him to mutter in shock, "Did my second body just react?"

He had three bodies in total. One of them was fused into the Beast Armoury while the other was fused into his home world. That was how his powers was being channelled to all the members of PADS, turning it into the power structure of their world.

This was also the reason he was able to use the power of reset of his world, for one of his bodies had fused with it.

And now, using the link to his second body, a mysterious item was being birthed in his Whale body that leaped out of his mouth after formation, hovering before him with a subtle radiance.

It was a sphere, yellowish-white in colour, emitting a gentle heat and light. It was akin to a moon in that it was absorbing energy from the sun before radiating it outward.

External Item—Nacre Sun!

Even though it belonged to his second body, he was able to use it, something out of the norm as somehow, Rhizen had now obtained a second External Item.

And the function of this item was rather overbearing in that it practically emitted Nacre like the sun. But first, it needed to be recharged.

Of course, Rhizen wished to do that as he smiled, gently nudging the Nacre Sun forward as it flew into the sun, hovering near its surface to begin absorbing the intense energy it radiated.

And by doing so, it began to grow in size, mass, and density.

"Hahaha, this is great." Rhizen laughed for a moment before it struck him that his actions had endangered Xuna, hurriedly turning around to fly into the world.

The Nacre Sun continued to charge up as it continued to become strengthened over time, raising its Stage automatically. It would take a long time before it reached Stage 9 in development and became fully recharged.

But when that happened, Rhizen was confident in erasing all corruption from this world. After all, this trump card of his meant that anywhere its light touched, the corruption there would be wiped out.

Basically, Systems would fail to be out in the open anymore.

It was a power that would change the entire game in the future. Therefore, Rhizen was looking forward to it. Moreover, he was hoping to create at least a few more Nacre Suns for others from the PADS to be equipped with.

A mere addition of even one more would mean a qualitative growth, allowing them to safe endangered apocalyptic worlds with greater ease.

Rhizen hurriedly flew to the Pitcher Plant Forest, taking action the moment he arrived above the Pitcher Plant King, somewhat flustered to see the state Xuna was in, 'Please don't die.'
