Picking Up Beautiful Girls In The Post-Apocalyptic World!

Chapter 50

The dealer looked down at Han with fear in her eye. REACH? Whar was that? She never even heard about them before!

“I don’t know what that is! Please, I don’t know what that is!”

Han narrowed his eyes and plunged the knife deeper into her neck. She shook slightly before forcing herself to shut up by biting her lip till she drew blood. He twisted his mouth to one side. He couldn’t see any lie in her eye. It seemed she really didn’t know anything about REACH.

“Then tell me everything you know about the apocalypse. How did the zombies appear?”

The dealer shook her head and Han threatened her by pressing the dagger even deeper. She started to cry and finally opened her mouth.

“I don’t know!”

“You’re lying”

“No, I’m not!”

“Then why did you hesitate? You know something. Tell me right now, or do you want to know what your intestine looks like?”

Alright, maybe Han watched too many late-night horror movies in the past. This was becoming too much, even for him. She was openly begging and crying now at the combination of his bloodlust and sheer presence. The blood was now leaking all the way down to her chest and Han cursed himself when his little buddy actually twitched at the sight.

He wasn’t a sadist, right!? He couldn’t be a sadist! This was just for the sake of information!!

The dealer squeezed her eyes tight and grit her teeth and Han dragged her hair back and brought the knife closer to her neck. She quickly shook her head.

“Wait! Wait! I’ll talk!”

“Ah… Smart girl”

“There was a factory in City A. I don’t know who left the factory there but there was something inside that you would never believe me if I told you!”

Han narrowed his eyes. Was she telling the truth? It didn’t seem like she was lying. So does that mean the virus came all the way from City A this time? Why would REACH come all the way from there just to infect them? It didn’t make sense.

“Tell me. This thing, do you still have it?”

The dealer nodded.

“What does it do?”

“It…. It….”

The knife dug deeper.

“It created the Wisteria! It’s what’s we used to make the Wisteria!!”

Han’s eyes widened. Well, would you look at that! Turns out there’s more to this shit than he thought. Han already had a vague idea of what happened to create the zombies now but he couldn’t be too sure. He spun the knife in his hand and dslit the rope holding the dealer. She fell to the ground and Han walked towards the table of knives.

“Get dressed, clean yourself up and get ready. Let’s go see this thing,”

Once the dealer managed to force herself to her feet and stood up, Han held her waist and led her out of the room gently, like a lover guiding his tired wife. If only the knife digging into her lung didn’t tell her that one wrong move would be the end of her then this could’ve been just like two lovers taking a walk.

Well, Han didn’t think she would be interested in him after all this, so maybe it would just be like a woman and her bodyguard?

Oh well, it didn’t matter. They both walked for a while and managed to pass through security at various places in the underground. The amount of security here was completely astounding? It was like a military-grade weapon was being kept here. Five metal doors with at least ten men standing in front of each one!? Damn, the dealer! You really love your power, don’t you!? Well, it could just be that whatever was being protected was just extremely important and dangerous.

From the way the dealer looked, she hasn’t been down here in a long time, all the guards were giving her strange looks while parting for her. Was that because Han was there? He hoped not! Just think of us as lovers! No need to be hostile.

He really didn’t want to kill them all. It would just be annoying.

The two of them reached a door at the end of the hall and the last man opened it. They entered and the man was about to close the door behind him when he suddenly caught a glimpse of the knife being held to the dealer’s back.

“Hey – Ack!!”

The knife suddenly found a new sheath in his forehead and he fell to the ground like a sack of potatoes. Han sighed and pushed the dealer into the room. He really didn’t want to kill anyone! Why couldn’t he just shut up and allow them move on!?

He entered the room after the dealer and blinked at the darkness that filled his vision. The entire room was dark except for one blue construct at the far end. It was glowing blue and had a strange light coming off it.

Han pushed the dealer forward and began moving toward the light. As he neared it his eyes just kept getting wider and wider. He stopped just a few feet away from it.

“What is this?” He asked.

The dealer stepped back from Han and he bellowed.

“I said what is this!?”

“I-Its the source of the Wisteria!!”

The source of the Wisteria. The most loved drug in the underground. Was it a girl?

She had blue hair and pale skin. She was naked and chained to the wall by her hands and leg. Her body constantly released a white smoke that constantly condensed into powdered form at her feet. The entire area around her was freezing cold. Han could see his breath just from being this close to her.

He turned to the dealer and saw her flinch. He didn’t even know when he activated his blood Lust. They were using a girl to make drugs!!? What sort of fucked up generic second-rate villain shit was this!?

“You say you found her in a factory. Where was it?”

“I-In the cold mountains. We just stumbled across it by chance when we were looking for weapons!”

Chance? This was definitely not chance. REACH must’ve somehow made them move to that factory and used them as a catalyst for this apocalypse. Han bent down and picked up the powder. This was definitely Wisteria, but it felt different from the one he was given. More concentrated.

“This is what you give the fighters?”

The dealer shook her head while trying to take more steps back. Han shot to his feet and slammed her back into the wall.

“Answer me!!”

“It was the failed experiments!! The first group of experiments couldn’t handle the concentrated version and they transformers into some sort of monster!”

The dealer was now openly crying again and when Han let go of her she fell to the ground in pain.

‘hHmm…”

Han turned around sharply when he heard the girl Humm. He quickly moved towards her as she opened her eyes. Her eyes locked onto him in confusion for a moment before it widened and she began scrambling back in fear.

“No! No! Leave me alone!! Please, just leave me alone!! I don’t want to stay here anymore!! I want to go back home!!”

Han cautiously took a step back from her. She was delirious. From the marks in her skin, it was obvious she had been manhandled and probably even raped. Dammit… This was just becoming an even bigger mess.

“Hey… Hey calm down. I won’t hurt you.”

The girl moved further away from him but she stopped trashing and just stared at Han in fear. Han tried taking a step closer again but she flinched even more.

“I just want to help. I’ll take off the shackles,”

The girl was silent for a while before she slowly nodded. Han moved closer and grabbed the chain to loosen it. But just before he could he heard her scream in fright while staring at something behind him. Jesus Christ! What sort of stupid idiots existed in the underground!? Han turned around, caught the knife the dealer aimed at his back and then slapped her to the ground.

That should keep her knocked out for a few hours.

He turned back to the girl and continued what he was doing while she looked at him in awe. He managed to break the chains in her hands and then her legs before trying to get her to stand up. She couldn’t even shift her body, she was so weak. So Han carried her bridal style and propped her against the wall of the room. He was going to turn her around but she suddenly caught his hand.

“Who are you?”

“A friend,” Han smiled.

“What are you going to do with her?”

The girl pointed towards the unconscious dealer and Han eyes the woman with a cold gaze.

“Something you don’t want to see.”

“Can I watch?”

Han rose a brow at the girl. Did he just hear that right?

“I want to watch. Please let me watch”

Han hummed and nodded before he stood up.

The next few minutes were the most excruciatingly painful of the dealer’s life and Han made sure the girl didn’t miss a single second of it. Her screams didn’t get out of the soundproof room, so he didn’t have to worry about any guards coming in.. It was just him, the girl, and the screams.
