*CLANG!*
As Gray parried the armoured soldier's vertical swing, the room resounded with a loud clang. Nearly falling to the ground as a result of the collision, he glanced to his left and watched as another large sword thrust came to a halt right beside him.
[Pause]
A second armoured soldier to his right stepped in and swung his sword diagonally down at Gray. However, before it could even get close-
[Unpause]
Gray swayed to the side, barely avoiding the thrust from the armoured soldier who had just swung down at him from the right.
*Crack!*

[You have gained 5 XP]
Upon piercing it, it caused the armoured soldier from the right to collapse, however, just before it fell, it also managed to slash through the soldier whom had ended it.
*Crack!*
Two soldier's taken out on their own, just as Gray intended.

Gray's eyes were locked on the armored soldier in front of him, which had already recovered from the prior parry and was in the act of swinging down on Gray.
Gray watched with widened eyes, as the blade halted only inches away from his face.
[Pause]
Stepping to the side, he grasped his blade, rotating with all his strength and swinging it with all his might in order to slash through the armour ahead of him.
Because the Armour was more concerned about its stuck blade, it didn't bother to put up a defense, which allowed Gray to hit through the gap accurately.
*Crack!*
The sword slashed right through the core, however, the movement caused a great backlash on Gray who was already out of stamina. After dropping the sword, Gray's lungs felt as if they were going to burst as he gasped for air.

A glance around revealed that he had just taken out his seventh one and yet he was still surrounded. There seemed to be around five left.
Following his analysis of the situation, he ran out of the enclosure through a gap in their formation, created only by him having taken out so many before looking for a new plan.
The fact he was still alive was truly a miracle. His adrenaline had been pushing him so far, but his stamina had made him reach his limits. He was finally going to get the death which he desired.
It was strange, however. In this situation where he was fighting to the death, he just couldn't hold it in.
Throughout his body, he felt the exhilaration, the excitement, and the intense pain.
How long had it been since he last felt this alive? He couldn't recall. He wondered what kind of face he was making in this situation.
*SWOOSH* *Clang*
Gray dropped through and between the gap between the fifth armoured soldier's legs. While it's swing crashed against the floor, the blade edge chipped away.
Gray, who was now at it's flank, swept one of it's feet and tugged on it from the sides, causing it to fall on top of the armor beside it. Gray then jumped in and grabbed the edge which had been rotating in the air, thrusting it down on the Soldier's chest.

As the other soldier lay on the ground, he thrust his blade toward Gray, but he was left in confusion when the blade seemed to get stuck on something.
Gray didn't waste that opportunity and pierced it in its core quickly since it was already immobilized in the ground.

His body swayed from right to left as he panted, his eyes filled with exhaustion as he rose up.
How many were left? He didn't know, but neither did he care. In fact, the grin on his face never wavered.

Gray, who had just taken out the last of the Armor soldiers, collapsed on his knees, before crashing his face against the rock cold floor.
The cuts and wounds on his body were dripping with blood. He felt exhausted and dizzy. The fight had really drained him down, he wasn't much of an athlete but did occasionally do some training at home to stay in shape.
He realized that this was the end as his eyes slowly closed. He could no longer feel the floor due to the cold and numbness in his arms and legs.
That would not have been a bad thing for him, he would have finally gotten the death he wanted.
So then why?
As Gray slowly rose up, he pushed down with his arms on the ground. Even though his feet trembled as he tried to balance, he did not let that stop him.
His body was grumbling from hunger, his throat dry from thirst as he walked ahead.
This was the first time he had ever uttered such words. It made everything he had said, all of his resolve seem like a joke. It disgusted him, but still, he said it.
"I won't die."
Following the experience of feeling alive, he made it his new goal to experience new emotions this way. Now that he wasn't bound by that drunkard's chains, and the world had gone to hell, he could go wherever he wanted.
He made a decision.
He decided to live his life the way he wanted. Certainly it seemed as if he was rushing to make a decision, but maybe he was looking for this opportunity all along. Regardless, he was going to take advantage of it.
"Status." He muttered as he walked towards the next door, stopping as he reached it.

His eyes widened as they scrolled through, sixty-five, he was only thirty-five away. Just thirty-five. It was unclear to him what was in store for him ahead of this mysterious pattern.
Despite that, he wasn't scared. His fear of death was nonexistent. While he would not kill himself anymore, he would not complain if he died. This would be his new way of life.
He pushed open the door.
At that moment, cold sweat dripped down his face. The fact that he is human can never be changed no matter how hard he tried to suppress his emotions.
His breathing became increasingly difficult due to the blood lust being released from the room.
He could hear and feel it clearly. At this point, his instincts were screaming danger and fear.
With the doors fully open, he could see it. There was a throne at the end of the room that was similar to the one he was in.
A single piece of armor sat on top of the throne. Unlike the others, which were silver and metallic. This one had a golden hue and a more refined design.
He couldn't see it. The core. There were no gaps in the armor. He was also unable to see the red glint within its helmets that gave the appearance that it had eyes.. The only thing he could perceive was darkness.
