Chapter 19
Following that, the her beautiful half naked figure emerged. The only reason it was half was because her towel covered both her privates and her entire chest.
"Hurhhgh?" Gray asked, his mouth submerged beneath the water in surprise. Translation: Huh?
-------------
As soon as she stepped inside the bathroom, she sat on one of the shower seats, poured part of the bucket filled with water over herself without saying a word.
Following that, she passed shower gel all over her body, causing foam to appear, covering her in the spots where it mattered.
Gray, who was in the tub, kept his face half submerged in the water, looking at the flowing waves in an attempt to calm himself.
Over time, though, it started to work and he began to forget that she was there. He was surprised when all of a sudden-
Her body entered the tub and, in that instant, he saw it, he saw everything.
While she descended, her long pink hair caressed her plump chests, jiggling from side to side as she swayed them along the way. It was quite a sight to behold, the great wall of her great kingdom standing in full view.
In a way, she almost hypnotised Gray with the pointiness of her alluring nipples, making him feel compelled to grab them. It was truly a sight to behold. There was something rising, but it wasn't the water level.
But nevertheless.
Gray suddenly slammed his head against the wall beside the bathtub, slightly cracking the wall as he did so. In spite of feeling a little lightheaded, Gray submerged himself into the tub once more, this time with a reddened forehead.
Surprised, the girl giggled softly, her cold pink iris almost seeing through him.
Gray hadn't noticed earlier, but her cheeks were also flushed red with embarrassment. She had submerged her face half-way into the water as well. In fact, their knees and feet were almost touching one another.
Gray remained silent for a few minutes before getting up suddenly. Mentally, he was losing the battle and wasn't sure what he would do if he remained there a little longer.
The problem was that he had forgotten to take a certain variable into account as a result of his sudden action.
A face full of Gray's full-powered rod, her eyes widened in shock, and her face quickly turned red. The bulging veins clearly startled her.
Seeing what he had done, Gray hurried to leave but was stopped by her as she grabbed his arm.
"Don't leave..." She mumbled, stuttering as she spoke.
"The words repeated in Gray's mind over and over, in a loop, until he entered the bathtub again. However, this time he was completely silent.
She sank back into the water and smiled as she did so. Her pink hair was flowing along with the ripples created by the two of them.
The two remained silent for a long time.
"Why... Did you save me?" She asked, shattering the quiet.
Upon hearing this, Gray smiled nervously before responding. "You reminded me of myself."
Suddenly, her brow creased as she sent a sharp glare his way.
"Even though I tried to kill you?" She asked.
"I don't have the right to suddenly say that I don't wish to die, after what I've done. No harm done since you failed and I wasn't injured."
Although he said that he had considered killing her, he was simply too much of a wimp to actually do it.
Throughout his life, Gray had only taken one life, and that was the piece of crap who had adopted him. Gray's life had been turned into hell by that guy, and not even all of Gray's humanity would have been able to offer him a shred of remorse for what he'd done.
However, this girl was still young and was in a dark place. Even though it was stupid, if there was another option besides taking a life, he would take it.
After all...
He was human.
"You're... Quite stupid." She said, whilst looking at him.
Gray smiled as he replied, "It was this stupidity that got me a great companion.".
The words caused her cheeks to flush red once again before she plunged her whole head into the water. Bubbles floated upwards.
"Speaking of which... You still haven't told me your name." Said Gray.
When she heard this, she surfaced once again, her mouth partially submerged in the water as she murmured. "Aurora... Aurora Ember."

After what seemed like an eternity, the two had exited the bath and were now eating what Aurora had prepared. It was rice, with nicely seasoned chicken breast and her own self-made sauce.
Delicious. It was delicious. Gray hadn't eaten properly for so long, that his eyes seemed to grow brighter with every bite. It was as if he was floating in the sky, fully naked without a care in the world.
That's how good it tasted. In spite of this, her expression didn't change a bit even as she ate. She was cold and emotionless.
Gray preferred how she was acting in the shower rather than how she was now.
"Hey, Aurora. What's wrong?" He asked
Upon hearing this, her ears twitched. She remained silent, chewing slowly with every bite. Not knowing what else to say, Gray resumed eating his meal. If she didn't want to talk about it, there was no reason to.
They continued to eat in silence until it was all finished.

The apartment room was a double bedroom. Gray had cleaned up his room and Aurora had cleaned up hers. It had been an hour since they had finished eating, Gray was having trouble sleeping.
The voicemail left by his sister was all he could think about.
Regardless of how he adjusted his pillow or changed the angle he was facing, nothing would change. Gray had just finished counting his three thousandth sheep.
"Fuck…" He cursed as he forced his eyes shut.
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
Gray's eyes opened shortly after, however, when a knock came from the door.
Gray said as he turned to it, "Come in.".
Aurora entered the room as soon as the door opened. As the moonlight glinted off her silky pink hair, it dazzled.. Her hand was brushed nervously against her shoulder before she asked, looking away. "Can I… Stay here for a while…?"
