164 Chapter 163
The sound of Gray's steps resounded across the stairs. With each step, his figure ascended in the darkness.
Glowing yellow and silver eyes could be seen bouncing up and down, as he slowly progressed from a slow-paced rhythm to a continuous leap, one after the other.
'Its quite empty, here.' He thought to himself.
It was so dark that even with his night vision sight, it was hard to make out the shapes and structure of the place.
Still, he kept moving.
The bloodlust in him slowly bloomed as he came to spend more and more time within their Airship.
His only problem now was the fact that X-Ray wasn't working at all, making it harder for him to navigate.
*Fwoosh*
Gray came to a stop upon reaching the top of the staircase. Ahead of him was another reinforced door, with a key card slot right beside it.
He had to admit that the technology of their world was rather similar if not slightly more advanced than his.
Kessho have clearly awakened their abilities before them and accessed more supernatural valuables.
*Swipe*
Gray swiped the card and a bright green glow came from it.
*Clunk* *Clunk* *Clunk*
The sounds of Gears creaking echoed across the staircase. A small portion of steam burst towards Gray before the doors slowly opened.
-
"Huh? The doors opening, did they come back?"
The one who had asked was a crimson crystal red eyed, pearl opal haired Kessho. He carried two swords on his waist and had a carefree expression on his relaxed face.
Beside him was another Kessho, he had Night Blue hair and deep crystal red eyes. A metallic bow rested on his back yet no arrows were in sight.
They were both ripped in terms of their figure alone, a strong aura was constantly being emitted from them.
They were the ones watching over the large room. They had their eyes on the four other Kessho's each distributed across a single door.
Each of them were captains, making it unthinkable for anyone to plan an invasion.
Despite that...
*Swish*
The doors opened, and the head of the Kessho standing by the door, was suddenly sliced off of his neck.
*Flop*
The eyes of the two Kessho watching over everything, widened as they watched the head of their comrade drop and roll around on the floor.
They instantly drew their weapons and fixated their eyes onto the door, yet found nothing.
Not a single figure could be seen, just darkness.
Although no figure stood by the door, they were sure of it, when the door opened, a hand swung out instantly decapitating the captain's head.
The other Kessho's caught on and turned to the door, there was nothing but silence.
[Pause Step.]
[Fast-Forward.]
*Swoosh* *Sling!*
In an instant, the silence was cut off with a slash as the head of the other three Kessho's were sliced off in an instant.
The pearl opal haired Kessho with the two swords, leapt towards the nearest Kessho, swinging his sword down at Gray who had come to a stop above him.
The katana on Gray's hand was covered in blood, he had just completed his strike to take them all out at once.
Gray did not appear to be aware of the Kessho, inches away from him, his eyes were facing the door he had just come out of.
The Kessho swung his right sword, diagonally down at Gray.
*Swoosh*
Wind burst down the air behind Gray. It had missed him a hair's margin as he had tilted his body forward in the last second.
[Trajectory Shift.]
The Kessho thrust his other sword at Gray while simultaneously sticking his knee out to pierce into him.
Gray thrust his legs downwards. - [Pause Step.]
*Swoosh*
Both the sword and the knee ended up passing right through thin air. Gray had vanished once more.
The Kessho's eye, rolled as far left as he could, catching a bare glimpse of Gray's figure behind him.
Time seemed to slow down for the two as Gray stretching his arm out to touch him.
A grin grew on the Kessho's face.
[Pau-]
*ZOOM!*
Gray's pause was interrupted, he cocked his head back barely avoiding an arrow which had been propelled at him.
Despite having avoided however.
*BOOM!*
The arrow exploded, blasting Gray towards the wall.
As he landed with his legs bent on the wall Gray rubbed his eyes and glanced at the other Kessho
There he could see the Dark night blue haired Kessho pulled back the string on his bow and a light blue glowing arrow manifested.
Four arrows manifested around the bow and charged up, trembling in anticipation to be released as they gradually became harder to hold back.
They were all simultaneously released at him.
Gray leapt away from the wall, watching as one of the arrows crashed into the area where he had been standing.
*BOOM!*
An explosion much larger than the previous one emerged as the arrow burst.
The other three curved at him while he was mid air.
[Trajectory shift.]
Gray opened his arms wide, rotating his body left and right before pausing the air in front of him.
*Crash*
The second arrow crashed against the wall of air, exploding upon doing so.
The remaining two, suddenly changed trajectories and bent their away around the wall, before continuing their journey at him.
Gray's brows were raised in surprise.
*BOOOM!* *BOOOM!*
The arrows exploded, blasting Gray even further back as burnt marks began to appear over his flesh, but it didn't end there.
While he blasted away, Kessho which had just missed him while ago appeared behind him, moving back at the same speed.
His body was shining with minerals grown all over it and his sword.
[Mineral Coating: Armour.]
[Mineral Coating: Enhanced Slash.]
He slashed right at Gray's head from behind.
Gray who had been trying to conserve energy realised that holding back now would be detrimental for him.
His eyes widened, as within a tenth of a second, the sword swing was right beside his head.
[Fast-Forward.]
*Sling!*
The Kessho ended up cutting through thin air, as Gray's figure appeared sliding down across the floor.
