Paragon Of Sin

Chapter 1769: Contrary

Chapter 1769: Contrary

"I hate monarchs…"

Far, far away from the Essence Sword Starfield, from the Armored Boon Stellar Region, neighboring the Growing Immortality Galactic Zone, within the Containing Creation Galactic Zone, there existed a stellar region known as the First Creation Stellar Region, the capital stellar region of the entire galactic zone, home to the Zenith Creation Tower.

Within a World Realm of great significance, the Zenith Creation Alchemical Realm, there was an absolute-sized multi-belt Solar Star with six belts with different colors, a single belt higher than the core Solar Stars of the Resolute Dusk Galaxy's greatest rulers, a sign of being a supreme star. The six belts had the defining colors of six aspects of the Alchemic Dao, all excluding Creation, which was the color of the Solar Star itself.

This was none other than the World-Bound Solar Star of the Zenith Creation Alchemic Saint, an inherited title passed down to each leader of the Alchemic Dao of the Containing Creation Galactic Zone. This was a true-blue Heavenly Alchemic Saint, prestigiously regarded by the entirety of Utmost Purity Galaxy as one of the greatest alchemists in existence, even when factoring in the neighboring greater galaxies such as the Prosperous Ruin Galaxy and Treasured Vale Galaxy.

The Zenith Creation Alchemical Realm was a genuine holy land of alchemy and even those who didn't cultivate an Alchemic Soul could cultivate alchemical energies at the level of an Alchemic Soul, having access to purer energies and higher environmental support, an utterly incredible benefit that has allowed many alchemists to tap into their truest potential without an Alchemic Soul and reach levels they otherwise couldn't.

Within this world was a single planet surrounded by six continent-shaped lunar satellites. And on this planet was a gorgeous and grandiose-designed hall that was the manifestation of wealth and riches, simply opulent to a supreme extreme. The base material used to create the tiles was Mystic-World Essence Stones intermixed with high-grade Mystic Origin Clay material.

Mystic Origin Clay was the next step of Mystic Origin Liquid and required a special process to create, doing so allowed one to use this material to guard their souls and bodies during ascensions, and it was effective during the Luminous Tribulation Gate, the Conqueror Tribulation Gate, the True Breath Tribulation Gate, and the Awakened Soul Tribulation Gate, which were respectively the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth tribulation gates for the Mystic Ascendant Realm!n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

The tiles alone for this palace could buy a hundred Continent of the First Knights with much to spare, if flat value was considered.

As if wanting to cement the truth into the world, the words resounded once again in the palace's primary hall for casual gatherings: "I f#cking hate monarchs."

The owner of this heavy sentence was a robustly figured, dark-haired, brown-skinned middle-aged man wearing a scholar's outfit with thick mutton chops and eyebrows. He seemed more like a martial artist than a scholarship, yet he exuded a thick aura of Enlightened Scholarly Mist alongside his blazing vitality of physical might. However, that blazing vitality was gentle to the touch.

With his bulging arms in his tight-sleeved outfit, he sat at a rectangular table, his arms in a resting '/' position with his hands holding his head, his fingers gliding up and down along the bridge of his convex nose. He was the picture of a man struggling to maintain a solid mind.

"Must you get so tense over a foreigner?" A lovely voice resembling an oriole in song soothed the heavy atmosphere. A plum red-robed woman who was noticeably tall, with auburn hair, standing at six feet and six inches in height, her body was not excessively slender at all nor was it too plump, but she was voluptuous, and while her face was by no means flawless, she was decent looking, homely was the best description, yet her backside was her greatest asset. It was a round and appropriately plump romp, standing out like a perfect bubble, and it dared to enticingly bounce and sway with every step.

However, not a single person would dare look upon her with any lustful gaze. She was known far and wide as the Angelic Peach Alchemic Saint—Tianshi Ya, one of the few Exalted Worldly Saint Alchemists that existed, and ranked number three on the Seven Rising Heavens Alchemic Ranking made by the Blessed Sentinel to assign Exalted Worldly Saint Alchemists with a chance to ascend, reaching the Heavenly Alchemic Saint.

Additionally, one of the requirements to enter the list was to successfully concoct a Mystic-Heaven grade product. This was usually performed with great assistance by other Worldly Saint Alchemists aiding or other external factors, much like how San Luoyang would concoct Mystic-Earth graded products prior to becoming an Earthly Alchemic Saint with the help of numerous other Mortal Sovereign Alchemists.

"You came now? After all that?" The middle-aged muscular scholar questioned with thick aggravation. "What am I supposed to do now? Monarchs love to make a show of their so-called superiority. Is he an idiot?!"

This voice wasn't someone that Wei Wuyin would recognize, but the aura was definitely one he would have. This was the Dao Enforcer of the Zenith Creation Tower, the carrier of the Alchemic Edict that outlawed all Supreme Sages from acting within this conflict. Moreover, this conflict wasn't a sudden event either.

This was an extensively planned moment that many organizations were paying attention to, and quite a few had interests invested in the outcome. At least, those at his level or those with the right to play at their table.

The Dao Enforcer was Suo Haoran, the Founding Patriarch of the Suo Clan, one of the four galactic clans of the Containing Creation Galactic Zone. Every Galactic Zone had between two to five Galactic Clans, totaling twenty-four.

Tianshi Ya withdrew a peacock feather fan from her Internal World, and then lightly fanned herself with a smile. "He's just pushing the envelope, seeing what our bottom lines are, like a good little ruler of another land."

"Ugh! And if we back down too much? Will he take advantage of us? See us as weak? Perhaps he'd be brazen enough to cuck someone like that dull bastard with Fairy Sky Heart. Curse the stars! Have those bug-eyed bastards verified his Imperial Law yet? His cultivation base? Anything?!" Suo Haoran asked with the heaviest grunt.

The Imperial Law was troublesome to deal with, and the type of Imperial Law was of significant importance. As for why Suo Haoran hated monarchs? It was mostly because monarchs loved to cultivate this pretentious Imperial Law that made their attitudes heavily egocentric and self-important, the definition of insisting upon themselves as if they were the main characters destined to rule the world a single acre of Dark Void at a time. Perhaps he was generalizing it, but that was his opinion of those who grasped and cultivated a Seed of Imperial Law.

"The Arachnids finish their scouting when they finish, not a second sooner. You know this," Tianshi Ya pointedly explained.

Seeing how Tianshi Ya was offended by his word usage, he breathily sighed and said: "Sorry. I'm just…"

"I know. You were challenged. Aggressively so. Anyone in your position would have already madly flown into the Growth Zone and fought against him with their life on the line. However, the prophecy isn't something to take lightly. The plans of so many people had been screwed up by it, and this so-called foreigner doesn't understand the height of our heavens and earth, daring to abuse their strength when it was explicitly forbidden to do so.

"For now, let the Arachnids do their jobs patiently." Tianshi Ya's words effectively calmed down Suo Haoran with expert precision. It made him noticeably calmer, and he sat back in his seat, eyes to the ceiling, and a flat: "Fine."

A few silent seconds later, Tianshi Ya asked: "So who won?"

"Won?" Suo Haoran's eyes dropped to her voluptuously tall figure. "There was no winning, just who earned the greatest benefits. And pretty much everyone lost something and gained nothing after that foreigner intervened. The entire game was flipped upside down. Not even that hateful and devious Guo Heng was able to kill Sage Moonrise."

Tianshi Ya had a bad taste in her mouth at the last bit of the sentence. Guo Heng was the fifth ranker on the Seven Rising Heavens Alchemic Ranking, known as Exalted World-Saint Inversetoxin but he belonged to the Refining Skies Galactic Zone and the Zenith Refinement Tower's 4th floor Tower Master. He was roughly the same level status-wise as Exalted World-Saint Azureriver, with Exalted World-Saint Azureriver as the 3rd floor Tower Master of the Zenith Creation Tower.

Sui Yuan had offended him pretty badly about twenty-two thousand years ago by not accepting an invitation to his birthday celebration all those years ago when Sui Yuan was visiting the Containing Creation Galactic Zone to visit Sage Painted Star for a favor for Azure Rain. This was a simple action of declining, but it wasn't the action but how it was declined.

She sent a transmission to decline. Not even sending over a congratulatory gift via a servant or incarnation. Simply a flat-out decline.

As a Sage, her every action was heavily scrutinized. That action was no different than stating that he wasn't worthy. At the time, World-Saint Inversetoxin was a lowly alchemist, a Junior Worldly Saint Alchemist, and not even a Tower Master at the time. He didn't truly believe that Sage Moonrise would show up, but the way she did so was enough to prick at his ego a thousand times.

As he rose in status, strength, and influence, he had never forgotten. However, the situation grew even worse when she was invited again to his birthday two thousand years ago, and he was brushed off by using an excuse of seclusion.

The issue? Not even a few weeks later, she was seen welcoming a young stellar talent into her organization. Moreover, her aura was stable and consolidated, seemingly having not cultivated actively for a few years.

It was the little things.

How poignant was it that she would die at a birthday celebration? And so Exalted World-Saint Inversetoxin had set the stage for her demise. How unfortunate that he lost a Sage-level assassin, a few Heavenly Treasures, and other resources spent bribing those in the Knightly Dao Pavilion, all to end in failure!

If anyone had lost the most, it was undoubtedly Exalted World-Saint Inversetoxin!

Of course, Sui Yuan's death wasn't a single man's desire nor was he capable of mobilizing such an extensive operation by his lonesome against the Knightly Dao Pavilion. With all three Knightly Dao Pavilion taught Sages living, there was an excessive amount of losers in this.

"Not everyone suffered," Suo Haoran remembered a few others. "I guess Grand Seer Rippledark has won a battle within his death grudge war against that strange Su Yi kid, preventing him from obtaining Shang Wanqing."

"Su Yi?" Tianshi Ya's eyes glowed a reddish hue. "Is he really the reincarnation of an ancient Supreme Sage?"

"..." Suo Haoran went silent. After a long while, he slowly said with a solemn tone: "The mysteries of reincarnation can not be casually assumed or guessed upon. For beings at our level, trying to reverse our cultivations is as difficult as reversing the River of Time. If not, wouldn't we all be peerless kings of every generation?"

Tianshi Ya's eyes dimmed considerably. That was right…it was difficult to reincarnate as an Ascended being, usually requiring those supreme existences to rip them out of the samsara process, let alone those at the Resonant Soul Realm, those at the crossroads between the Mystic Dao and that eternal dao. Their souls were fundamentally different, unable to enter samsara or leave easily. For those supreme beings, they knew more about matters of life and death and the ways of samsara, so she didn't dare to casually probe for fear of suffering some hellish backlash.

"But Su Yi has been said to have connections with that Supreme Sage, with many speculating that he's either a descendant or a reincarnated soul. What if he succeeded?" Tianshi Ya asked. That was a potential path to true immortality.

"Then he can only pray that the heavens are on his side. Everyone among the greater galaxies would be after him and his secrets. Everyone." Suo Haoran calmly stated with a certain tone.
